Kent Nishimura - Guitar - Drive My Car (The Beatles)

Kent Nishimura was requested to play one song by Tommy Emmanuel himself at his concert the other day. So Kent played this Beatles song which is one of Kent's original arrangements from his 2nd album "KENT NISHIMURA 2" with Tommy's guitar!!!

Anyone else notice when the strap fell off his shoulder and he effortlessly adjusts without flubbing a single note? This guy's level of skill and swagger makes me want to sell all of my instruments and go work in retail for the rest of my life.

Tommy was looking so proud and may be a little jealous :) stay humble my friend . thank you

Tommy E knows exceptional talent when he sees it and will always support youngsters coming thru. To be asked to come up and perform is what TE is all about - and on his guitar no less. Kent Nishimura, tho still very young, is setting the bar high and no doubt it will inspire others to emulate and push those boundaries even further. He's not afraid to show close ups of his actions and I for one _as a guitarist_ am in awe of his ability. I'm excited to see where he goes from here.

@@tyamamoto174 KZread is an incredible music teacher that I didn't have when I was at Kent's age. It's basically the community of all music teachers that share their secrets and wisdoms mostly for free plus the community of legendary superstars of the music business sharing their secrets. Plus the incredible technical advancements that exist in the modern digital world like creating Gifs of certain passages in a youtube video, jumping back and forth in a video in 10 sec steps by tapping with the finger on the screen, creating hyperlinks that jump to the exact minute and second mark of a song in a video, speeding up or slowing down a video, high resolution videos where you can study the hands of a guitar or piano player in great details. People today can even buy and download any song in a matter of seconds. I could go on and on about the advances of technical support in our modern world generally because of the fast evolution of computer technology. No doubt therefore that all kinds of prodigies arise like mushrooms that come out of the ground. Nevertheless Kent is a prodigy of the highest kind with an extremely sophisticated ear for music.
