Kent Nishimura - Guitar - Drive My Car (The Beatles)
Музыка
Kent Nishimura was requested to play one song by Tommy Emmanuel himself at his concert the other day. So Kent played this Beatles song which is one of Kent's original arrangements from his 2nd album "KENT NISHIMURA 2" with Tommy's guitar!!!

Anyone else notice when the strap fell off his shoulder and he effortlessly adjusts without flubbing a single note? This guy's level of skill and swagger makes me want to sell all of my instruments and go work in retail for the rest of my life.
So cool to see Tommy giving this brilliant young man some props. One of my favorite musicians currently. Every one of his arrangements is so beautiful and tasteful.
Damn. He's even better live. Will wonders never cease?
Everyone who performs at Tommy Emmanuel's concert are incredibly talented and mastered the guitar.
I wish all grandparents are just like Tom. He always supports a young talent and he is always happy.
Later that night Tommy caught his guitar slipping down the hallway to Kent's room.

Amazing. Absolute genius talent, and humble about it. And he does it all without theatrics, drama, tattoos, or piercings. He doesn’t need it. The virtuosity speaks for itself. I hope he isn't exploited and ruined by the music industry.

1:20 The left-hand/arm skill, and Kent still kept the groove going! Great performance here man, all the best!
Kent i cant get enough of your playing , every day i find myself coming back for your music. your tone is so good and your arrangements are the most clever, Tommy is the reason i fell in love with the guitar some 10 years ago , later moved to discover Michael hedges, and let me tell you man, you have it , big time. Tommy was looking so proud and may be a little jealous :) stay humble my friend . thank you
Genius Genius Genius! #1 fingerstyle player in the world!!
Tommy E knows exceptional talent when he sees it and will always support youngsters coming thru. To be asked to come up and perform is what TE is all about - and on his guitar no less. Kent Nishimura, tho still very young, is setting the bar high and no doubt it will inspire others to emulate and push those boundaries even further. He's not afraid to show close ups of his actions and I for one _as a guitarist_ am in awe of his ability. I'm excited to see where he goes from here.

@@tyamamoto174 KZread is an incredible music teacher that I didn't have when I was at Kent's age. It's basically the community of all music teachers that share their secrets and wisdoms mostly for free plus the community of legendary superstars of the music business sharing their secrets. Plus the incredible technical advancements that exist in the modern digital world like creating Gifs of certain passages in a youtube video, jumping back and forth in a video in 10 sec steps by tapping with the finger on the screen, creating hyperlinks that jump to the exact minute and second mark of a song in a video, speeding up or slowing down a video, high resolution videos where you can study the hands of a guitar or piano player in great details. People today can even buy and download any song in a matter of seconds. I could go on and on about the advances of technical support in our modern world generally because of the fast evolution of computer technology. No doubt therefore that all kinds of prodigies arise like mushrooms that come out of the ground. Nevertheless Kent is a prodigy of the highest kind with an extremely sophisticated ear for music.
Absolutely amazing genius
damn, watching tommy and kent together is so lovely
That is one of the most joyous and fabulous things I have ever witnessed.
A very talented young person who seemed to really enjoy performing a classic!!
Idk why but I’m sweating and crying while watching this. I feel energy and souls inside of you ⚡︎⚡︎
Love this arrangement and the performance. Both are awesome! Saw this a few years ago and it just popped up in my feed again. The audience seemed to love it as much as I do.
Incredible guitarist.
I'm glad they clapped with him this time, I think he felt the love!

You deserve it my idol.
There are a lot of players who try to "mimic" what TE does and how he plays and it doesn't feel authentic and loses the feeling of the music. I can honestly say that you and Tommy have such similar styles and approaches to how you play that it was amazing listening and watching you play. Amazing job!
Tommy seems relieved that he has another soul to follow his lead. These guys have such similar technique (albeit at different levels)
If you watch the latest videos of Kent Nishimura, this kid has progressed a lot since then. Check out Man in the Mirror, you’ll be blown away with harmony for the most part of the song. Bravo 👏
カッコいい
Amazing!! Damn, I don't know if I want to burn my guitars or play them. Also liked the way he adjusted his guitar strap mid song without loosing a beat.
Wow~ I love this♡ I want to play guitar like you!
This kid rocks!
This lad is exceptional . . .

You see how quickly T Emmanuel got his guitar back from him? LMAO
Who's Tommy?
So sad the sound quality does not do any justice to this performance
I don’t do ANYTHING this well...
It would be funny if when he finished he raised hand 🖐 and bowed his 4 fingers Beatles style cause he played every instrument with those fingers.
Man, I wish these crowds would stop with the clapping along.
People need to lay off the clapping and just enjoy.

This is amazing and fantastically talented ... but I just want to say one thing critical ... sorry. It sounds mechanical. Amazingly technical and precise, don't get me wrong, incredible in every way, but dry ... there is no juice, no imprecision, now evidence of biology or neurology. Change it up a little. I can hear it a little bit, be bolder.

@@Marco-bh9im No question the kid is a fantastic musician, I am just expressing how listening to this particular performance strikes me. Swag is not what I am talking about, and honestly ... I wish when people expressed opinions on You-Tube folks would take it for what it is, instead of insulting them, or disagreeing with them, or trying to change their mind or discount them. It's just an opinion, and I was not rude about it, but a lot of younger people have exceptional dexterity and precision, but not the really long term feel for the music in the context of lots of other music. What he has done is really amazing ... taken whole arrangements of a lot of songs and translated them totally to guitar and kept the notes ... it is exceptional talent.
Id enjoy myself too if i could play any Beatles song that well
