The look on Andrei's face after the fade was priceless. Going to a bar, taking off her ring and saying, "I'm hungry for laughter, and here ever after, I'm after whatever the other life brings" pretty much sets her up as the villain. The man is suggested to be a hard working man who loves her and the one concerned about the children. In the end, her physical beauty was not enough for the storyteller. This song was Kenny's first hit after leaving The First Edition (I Just Stopped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In).

Older songs were short by today's standards, because it increased the chances of being played more often as it could fit in the musical Tetris, and longer songs were played by the DJ's when they needed a bathroom or a coffee break. Yes it is amazing that artist's could put so very much into 1.5 to 2.5 minutes. So much talent.

Kenny Rogers had a voice made for American Country. He started out as a pop rock band front man, The First Edition. He even turned his song The Gambler into a series of made for TV movies.

You two are the sweetest couple. I LOVE your husbands hear. He is a real man. Tough, but Romantic with his amazing wife…….and your insights are great, especially since your primary language is not English. For most people who are not English speakers a lot gets lost in translation, but young lady you are amazing with your insight. FYI: He has a great song the “Gambler” and it was made into a movie. Later it was a TV show, but it didn’t last long. He became a fairly good actor too. He is a romantic. Love you two very much. God bless

If you like story telling then you should react to two performances by Scottish Australian Eric Bogle. Both are ant-war songs - The Band Played Waltzing and No Man's Land (The Green Fields of France). They are not pleasant stories to listen to but they are poetic and very well performed. There are many versions on KZread but by far the best are those performed by Eric Bogle himself, who wrote both songs.

I debated with myself for a while about whether or not to post this , but finally decided to do so ., because my own story is very similar to this .We had been married for 14 years and had 4 kids from 13 to 6 years old . I came home from work one night to a note on the table which didn't really explain anything and 4 kids asking me " Where's mommy ?" I had no idea that we were even having a problem , so this was like turning a corner and getting hit in the face with a baseball bat .The next night I got a call from the other guy's wife who let me know what was going on .My wife had run off with her husband . They had 6 kids .So the two of them had run off together leaving two spouses and 10 kids .I am thinking , Holy Shit , my life has turned into a sleazy soap opera .From her I learned that this was a regular thing for her husband . He would find some stupid slut and run off with her for a month or two and then when he got tired of her , he would go back to his wife , WHO WOULD TAKE HIM BACK .And that was exactly what happened in my case . He went back to his wife , who took him back again for the 5th or 6th time and then my wife called wanting to come back to me . I told her HELL NO , divorced her and got custody of the 4 kids and the house and did not have to pay any alimony .The experience changed my outlook on life .I had thought of myself as a husband and father first and then found out that I was just a dumb jerk who was being used as a meal ticket .
