I have the 2020 version of this and honestly, it's build like a tank - it's not a fast bike but it's a cruiser. It's made purely for looks for someone that doesn't want to fork out for a harley yet.. I've managed to put a few thousand k's on mine since February and don't think i'll genuinely get rid of it. You get what you pay for end of the day. I'd recommend someone to get it as a first bike. Great review, very precise and honest.

@@roberc1abc Sorry for the delay in replaying - only just seen your message. I would certainly recommend getting one. It doesn't have the top speed of some 125's - infact its one of the slowest. But the looks you get when you go by or park up!! It looks a bigger bike than it really is. If you get one from new, I would take it easy up to 1st service, but then don't be afraid to open her up and push the revs a little. I didn't go above 5,000 for the first two months, but you need to start getting to 8,000+ soon afterwards - else the engine will struggle to loosen up. My bike has a couple of little 'quirks' but they all adds to the character of the bike. I renew my CBT in September, and will aim to do my full test in the two years after that. I have some 'bucket list' aspirations which tbh, would be better with a bigger bike - thinking a Honda CMX500 will do that justice!!

I struggle to get too much past 40 mph most times. 3rd gear is faster than 4th? - could be a noob mistake I'm making though. Quite heavy. Bite point margin is like 1.5-2 cm. Struggled more with stalling due to that at first. I've noticed a weird ticking sound when using the rear break. 18 miles travel takes me about 40-45 mins currently. No major problems yet and I've only been riding for a few weeks, day/night and in winds of around 45km/h. Also very heavy rain. Not had a problem with any of that though - kept both wheels on the ground! I think snow/ice is my next challenge. British weather, you know? Always changing. Anyway, I think for the price, it's a good deal... Very economical. Good looks. Last time I was at a petrol station it cost about a tenner to fill up from a bit under half a tank. I'm starting to think maybe I should've went for a Kawasaki Ninja 125 though as like you say, this isn't build for speed but for looks. Does the job though, in my opinion. Good learner bike. Just a bit heavier compared to the bike I took my CBT on. Hopefully my opinion will remain positive for a good 3-4 years from now as I only got it last month. Liked/subscribed and clicked your link. EDIT: By the way, for future reference, is it possible to install a side car to one of these?

Great insight into this bike. I'm considering buying a 125 in my 'senior' years. I haven't ridden a motorbike since I had a Honda CB125 (I think it was) back in the late 70's - I remember defying my Dad's advice and just going and buying it, no need for CBT training back in those days, out of the shop and away. Anyway, my point, you mentioned you have a rotator cuff injury , I have the same problem It took months and months for mine to ease off from the point where I couldn't lift a tin of beans of a top shelf or hang a coat up. I thought I was over the problem until recently when I took up piano lessons and that seems to have aggravated the old problem. Do you think riding this bike in particular would be a problem or would that be the same for any motorbike?

Got one of those 10days ago...and already regret it! CONS: 1) ALL switches (indicators/ horn/ kill-switch) - except lights are totally in the wrong position. It never took me more than seconds to get used to the controls of any bike i've ridden, I always found them instantly the moment I took off. On the superlight, you're unable to operate any switch correctly without actually looking what you're pressing. You think you're indicating to the right & you hit the kill-switch & engine goes off! you want to honk the horn cause a Truck is changing lanes onto you - and you end up indicating left!! 2) Has the Torque and acceleration of a fat old sick donkey. Imagine being on this macho black bad-ass bike only to find out that all 125 motorscooters and E-bikes overtake you with ease no matter how aggressive you try to accelerate! Its tolerable from 0-40kmh, but it takes you another 30 seconds to get from 40 to 65Kmh, and from 70 - to its top speed you need a never ending straight road. Embarrassing! Slowest 125 ever! 3) Horrible useless mispositioned mirrors! no matter at how far you bend, the mirrors will always display your upper body/ shoulder giving you barely 20% of traffic vision!! Its good for bodybuilders that ride shirtless and wanna see their flexed muscles! 4) mediocre displays : Neutral & indication display lights only visible at night time, Fuel gauge is on the fuel tank - you basically forget its there, and never look there. PROS: 1) Cheap & beautiful 2) good brakes & handling 3) feels sturdy Summary: Its a nice bike, relatively good quality but has an ultra weak-cheap 125cc engine and with its console switches/ display & mirrors designed by some Chinese toy manufacture.

Other than that, the bike grew on me ... and I really love it. Will try to find ways how to change those indicator buttons, and change the LEDs to stronger ones.... and its great. Regarding power ... Trying to decide on a 125 being tall and hefty. Benelli BN 125 seems to be the quickest cheapest option. But I prefer cruisers/retro...whats you view on Herald/Ajs/Bullit? So I think have narrowed it down to the Benelli the Ajs tempest scrambler or the Bullit Bluroc. I cant find any infor re Euro 5 and Ajs bikes or Bullit/Herald. I guess the Hoodlum is an option...problem being is availability on some of these. You said that the review was not for me alone well not mentioning the leg length is a major issue and that affects thousands of riders. You don't get the harley feeling, sound, comfort and ride ... for sure.... but to commute from A to B in slow moving city traffic, or for a short casual ride in the countryside... its great. Not to mention how economic it runs, and how cheap it cost!! You're not gonna go with a keeway superlight to a Hell's Angels gathering and show off... lol ... :)
