Wow nice job Tommy. Well definitely look up these products in my country. I have white leather which is an absolute curse to clean.

I use Meguiar’s leather cleaner & conditioner in one. The Best! Meguiar’s has the best of interior and exterior products!!

Oh man.. so relaxing to watch.

I’ve noticed that the Chemical Guys leather conditioner leaves a shiny finish on the seats for a few days until it rubs off. On low traffic surfaces like the dash and door cards, it stays shiny for a few weeks. I would recommend using Lexol leather conditioner, as it leaves the seats in their natural matte color. Love the vids man 👍👍

Congrats! I say use something that’s flat and nothing shiny. Chemical guys has an upholstery product. I have it but haven’t used it yet.

The conditioner and lather kit can't be shipped outside of us

I think Larry Kosilla would have a heart attack watching this video, beautiful car but I would watch a couple of his videos and maybe check out some of his products AmmoNyc. Cheers mate keep up the quality content currently searching for an m4/m3 myself. P.s. Swissvax makes some very quality products as well.

I can see there is bit wear and tear on drivers side bolster .I too am having same wear and tear.Do you recommend a product that will take the creases off please ?

I don’t think you can take the creases out sadly. I have the same issue on my M4... I guess it’s a trade off we M owners make for having such tight bolsters 😢 I think there is a way to have it sprayed with pigment to conceal the marks.

so jealous of that manual shifter... not even a single model's been imported to where I live.. such a bummer

You should NOT use any product on alcantara unless you spilled something on it like drinks/food whatever. Otherwise just use an alcantara/suede brush to raise the fibres. Then regulary use a soft brush to get rid of dust. If you use products you will make it wear MUCH faster

Hey Tommy, any idea how much re-leathering the front seat would cost? If I remember correctly, you've gotten yours redone before under warranty. I'm doing research on used F80's with Silverstone interiors and can't find this information online. Thanks!

Yes but skip the conditioner. Just use the cleaner

You could have stopped at the cleaner, modern pu coated leather doesn’t need a conditioner and it ends up sitting on top looking greasy and transferring onto your clothes. If that cg cleaner is alcohol based, I’d be turfing it as its slowly drying out the coating which will lead to more cracks on hard wearing areas. Replace with an all in one like leatherique prestine clean or angelwax heaven for leather

BMW uses Merino leather in M models, which has no type of coating I think. blogs.youwheel.com/2015/05/03/not-created-equal-bmw-leather-explained/

Troy Yerman pour water on your leather, if it beads your have a pu coating, if the water is absorbed it’s not

Hey Tommy. Tried this on my f80 seats. Used the brush and cleaner first, then a light applicator of conditioner. My seats were really stiff and slippery for some reason. Any ideas

You used too much conditioner. Use the cleaner again and this time don’t apply the conditioner.

Yup much better now! Matt finish if perfect. I didnt use too much conditioner before. Not sure why it was so stiff

Chemical guys doesn’t make the best leather products or even one of the better ones. You’re better off with leather masters or meguiars.

Tommy, I was cleaning my Q50 and my wife's BMW X2. I was following your tutorial, but the next day my leather is still slippery lol, how long do you think this will be go away, I'm in my office sitting on my desk trying to stay on my seat, but I keep falling down LOL. I think it got into my pants little bit hahah

My advise......Use a damp cloth and then finish with the BMW OEM conditioner. It leaves a matte finish. Been using that for 10 plus years, no issues.

Too much leather conditioner applied, best practice is to prime a microfiber pad with product & apply a thin coat. Then buff any access with medium pile microfiber cloth. Having a shiny, sticky layer of product will actually do more damage then good by attracting dirt & dust which will cause friction on leather. Not to mention it looks tacky... Also my adivce when using microfiber cloth is to fold it so you have 4 sections. This will give you a more efficient approach to using & having clean sections by folding over. Also more control to get onto gaps & corners.

@@TommyLGarage Glad I could be of help buddy, I own a yas marina blue F80 M3 Competition Pack with silver (white) interior so have to regularly clean & maintain the interior. I use Gtechnic L1 Leather Guard after cleaning it helps keep the leather clean by creating an invisible barrier also helps with reducing friction & dye transfer.

Will this work on white leather?

Not quite a fan of shiny looking leather, looks very cheap in my opinion. When you dried your seats after the cleaner I feel in love with the dull look from the product😍😍

Blake's Garage Actually it looks good on red leather. On black I ended up actually removing it and just use the cleaner for a nice dull look.

Stay away from the leather cleaners with any alcohol base. They will do a good job cleaning but will dry out the leather over time, requiring additional moisturizers to avoid cracking. Well put together video. Those bolsters are a necessary attention due to them receiving the most abuse.

Highly recommend not spraying this cleaning solution onto your leather directly. I did so based on this video in my C43 AMG leather dash and you can visibly see the areas where the solutions drops landed, it stained into the leather. Fortunately with the oily leather conditioner does a good job at hiding the new stains. I am just thankful I did not use this cleaner anywhere else on the car, I will no longer be using this garbage.
