Plenty of twats out there that call themselves “detailers”…..but actually know f-all!! Love Alcantara fabric, mixed with leather is bang on!👌 Great tip for all those who don’t know how to clean this amazing fabric👊

@@conradofmc_ny6706 I guess it’s a personal preference. I’d argue leather gets hot in the summer, cold in the winter. It’s uncomfortable to the touch, it’s easily scratched. If it’s not consistently maintained and moisturized it dries out and cracks. You’re entitled to your opinion though if that’s your sort of thing.

This is good information here but just a slight word of warning though for anyone about to try cleaning their own interior. She is showing you on a black / dark coloured alcantara which is the most forgiving colour to clean. Even a micro suede can badly show water marks and halos if it’s a light colour! If it’s a white, light grey or bright coloured i’d recommend not using any moisture at all unless you really have to! If you do need to, make sure you do it in a uniformed manor throughout the panel / section and not just in a single concentrated area as you’ll see a colour change. Good video and tips though!

Great video and she does a very good job explaining the material. Just remember polyester is very good as dealing with water based stains but not so good at dealing with oil based stains. When manufacturing carpet we often used polyester/ nylon blends to offset cost and balance water and oil stains. I personally use Polstar diluted 10:1 for this material but Dr. Beasley should work too.

I have the same Colourlock brush, but I was afraid to use it on my alcantara steering wheel as I tought it will be to agressive for it. Guess next time I clean my car I will give it a go.

That’s so funny, I get my Integra in just a few weeks and was thinking the very same thing! I’m looking for the very best maintenance and protection routines

I have legit been trying to explain this to so many for so long, I even carry a dedicated tooth brush to get into the tight areas near controls on my steering wheel and people call me crazy 😂 I have seen so many people wet vac, saturate and also not properly dry alcantara when cleaning, then they wonder why it feels so flat, crispy and hard when it dries
