    It’s recommended but not necessary. Mostly for the fact that the burbles are more aggressive in stage 2 as well as the catalytic converter robbing 30whp or so. I run stage 2 (non agg) with burbles off. Not as significant as stock to stage 1 but still worth it in my book.

    Hey Tommy I suggest every time you flash and it says “ wait 5 seconds “ turn the car completely off, lock it and let the car go into rest mode or “sleep” that way you will not get any check engine lights or error messages once you start the car ! 👍

I have the mpe and it’s obnoxious I hate leaving 3/4/5/6 (varies) in the morning including weekends and waking and offending the neighbors. You should play around with the “Boost Reduction by Gear” function to aid with traction a bit. Try 20% in 1st and 10% in 2nd - still feels fast, but with better traction in the lower gears. You will notice a bigger difference in warm weather with summer tires of course.... Oh yeah, you don’t need to mess with the “Rev Match in Sport+ w/DSC Off” setting since your car is a 2017. That setting is for 2018.5+ cars that came from the factory with rev match in Sport+ mode. BM3 put that setting there because BMW still disabled rev match in Sport+ with DSC off - this setting defeats that factory interlock. Keep up the great content!

    Hi there nice vid by the way. I just want to ask and since I have a 2021 M2 competition, I decided to change the downpipes, the pipes going towards the back is from eisennman race with no exhaust just a straight pipe with no blockage whatsoever, then I change charge pipes, the crank hub and have the ECU tuned, thats it. Now my question is do I need to change my OEM intercooler to a CSF or any aftermarket dual pass charge air cooler? and I dont track this car but just drive it daily and drive it spiritedly and fast. Hope to hear from you the soonest. Reply

    Have you tried the GTS Transmission flash? I have a 2016 M3 non-comp model and I'm wondering if the GTS trans flash will get rid of the jerkiness/stuttering from 2nd to 3rd gear. Also, in your opinion, would you recommend the CS/GTS flash for a bone stock m3 just to get the exhaust burb and extra power?

  • @MisterTechSavvy

    @MisterTechSavvy

    4 жыл бұрын

    In efficient mode, you won't notice anymore jerkiness/stuttering, as the GTS trans flash will keep the RPMS low and change gears more often. With BM3, you can set the burbles however you like. CS+/GTS flash is the perfect blend IMO. Stage 1 / Stage 2 are great as well, just a lot more power.

    Hello Tommy, I like your posts, amazing, very useful for me👍. I have got M4 (F82) and several months ago I bought BM3 licence. After trying all the free maps I started recording logs and examining the results. I found out that I have some missacuracies in ignition timing so I contacted PTF guys who said that this is only a fuel quality problem. So I made a fuel test, I tryed all types of fuel on our market, only branded fuel from 95 to 100 OCT and the result is always very simmilar. I can still see the ignition timing corrections in range from 1-3 deg., occassionaly up to 5 deg. Dont you have any experience with this situation? Thanks, Richard
