All be it a full on bike for every day. I own one. Plus an sv650 and a vtr1000. So when the zh2 is a bit too much I ride the others. As I said a great, honest, real review. Top marks

    LOVE mine !! Added a tooth on the rear spr. extended the swing arm little over 5 inches, but my favorite add on is the blow off valve ! I didn't care for the chirping sound it made coming off boost. Now sounds absolutely awesome. Unreal torque on this machine, can't imagine how much it would cost to buy a car that can move this fast. I also added a slip on from Brocks. That huge can had to go !!

    I’ve had my eyes on one for a while, but the looks! Hmm. Saw it when it first came out on the Kawasaki stand at Phillip Island WSBK and didn’t like the look of it, but I like everything else about it, the electronics, up/down quickshifter etc. The Kawasaki muffler was ugly but I see you’ve fixed that. I’ve done track days on a S1000RR so I know what insane power is like. I imagine the Kawasaki would be more insane with the its torque. Great review btw, must have taken hours with the editing.

    I still think the special silver paint version adds a lot to the otherwise marmite aesthetic, but at the same time there's no wrong or right answer (or opinion) when it comes to looks, eye of the beholder, everyone's different, all that jazz, etc etc. Yet as an experience on the road it's uber slick and nought but impressive. I usually fall down on the sportier side of, well, everything, but this is the first Roadster that properly makes me think hmmmmmm...

    Owning the bike, can't say I can really complain with anything at all, since I've bought it knowing what it is, and knowing what I want to do with it. I bought a hypernaked that's made for the road, daily use. And what I got was a bike that's very comfortable, planted to the ground, while being able to transform to a rocket in an instant. What I didn't get is, a bike that's made for the track, that's made for off-road, a bike that costs $$$ and that came with all the tech and specs that a $$$ bike would come with. Again, for what I bought it for, I have 0 complaints. The engine is smooth, and is powerful enough for my everyday needs + having fun when you really push it. But on the basis of the looks... I will have to agree with a lot of people that it really isn't the most gorgeous looking 1000cc naked bike. But it isn't ugly... and when you see it in real life, I describe it something like a bull. It's huge and muscular at the top, tapering down, and then you've got those wheels. It's an eye-catcher in real life... and of course, there's that supercharger sound.

But it is ace as a road bike, surprisingly light and nimble and with the right tyres turns pretty quick, I have got 016 pro on it now, same on my k6 1200 bandit. In the latter years I lowered the pegs 30mm with some ally plates I made at work so it's dead comfy now and I've still never had ground clearance issues. Maybe that shows how slow I've gotten 🤣🤣👍👍

    I’ve never had any problems with it. If you ride around in your life like the guy in the video who is doing wheelies and making it scream at every possible point of the ride and you are not up to that skill level sure it’s going to be too much. That’s not normal riding, it’s not even close. You tell it what to do, and if you don’t tell it to go 160 or pull up the front right before a sharp turn etc etc, it will simply never happen. I guess my problem is that I love just about every bike I see, and I don’t push anything I ride to the limits of its mechanical ability, and consequently I never feel anything but enjoyment on any of them. I often do go fast when it’s okay to, but you simply have to make it crash. It won’t do that without your choosing to crash.

    I own one of these. On paper it seems unremarkable, 197bhp, 239kg. A superbike makes similar power and weighs 40kg less. Paper tells you nothing though, and you realise this the first time you twist the throttle past 30%. Ive never ridden a bike which I can't open more than 50% throttle because of constant wheelies. Honestly, i challenge anyone to open the throttle more than 50% in the first 3 gears.

    Technically very nice bike, indeed. The only downside of it is its design & some compromising components. It looks like a designer team responsible for h2/sx went away and been replaced by some lazy/cheap designer who just took a looks of much cheaper models and scale it a bit. Shame Kawasaki. P.S. new SE model got some good high Q tech bits and peanuts, but its look has not been improved...

    Dude, this thing makes a tested 130Nm of torque from almost nothing! Turn off the TC etc, stick it in fourth gear at about 10mph, gas it hard and it will smash your face in before you even know what's happened, it brilliant! :-) However, I also like the sound of your idea too - superchargers for everybody!

  • @thealtered7

    @thealtered7

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@benjaminkubascronin3082 I suppose it comes down to whether or not super charging eliminates the pros and cons of engine configuration. I'm not a mechanical engineer, so I don't know the answer. If we assume that a twin will make peak torque lower in the rev range than an inline 4 regardless of supercharging then I'm still in favor of the idea. If supercharging diminishes or eliminates the differential in torque production in a twin vs. inline 4 configuration then the idea is pointless. Regardless, the abstract idea is that I want a super charged engine that I can thrash without smearing myself against a tree. That might mean twin with less total horse power or it might mean a smaller inline 4. I'm up for either. Actually, it probably means a smaller engine regardless. Maybe a 750cc twin with a redline around 9-10k?

    One thing is for certain, mankind is never satisfied with the power he can grasp for the time. Man wants more power, be it political, physical, emotional, theoretical. Man is never truly satisfied with power. Realistically, it's a great road bike. Not a great track bike, not a great gymkhana bike, not a great stunt bike, not a great tight twisty bits bike, but a great road bike. Going stupid fast in a straight (mostly) line, or covering a lot of distance without much fairings. Outside of a dedicated sports touring bike, this is it. My personal preference is toward stuff that weighs about 80 to 90 pounds less than the ZH2 but also has torque and rips well enough. Z900, MT-09SP, Duke 890R, etc. fill in the blank.
