Kathmandu Departure Runway 20 - Engine Failure

The departure clearance is to follow SID Darke 1A. In case of engine failure, if it is not possible to reach 7,500 feet when crossing radial 270, the contingency plan is to keep heading 320 until intercept the 4 DME arc (maintaining bank 20). Fly over the VOR at 7,500 feet or above and intercept radial 288 outbound. Accelerate and clean the aircraft.

Just the video I needed! Very well executed, could not have done it better. May I ask why you chose Darke1A instead of 1B which has the lateral path already entered for the 4 DME arc? On a side request, could you please demonstrate the VOR approach for RWY02 with both engines running? Do you convert the FPA angle to a V/S based on GS or do you use VNAV Path? Thanks a lot.

Good morning, thank you very much for the feedback. Darke 1A is the preferred departure because, as in a normal situation there is no concerns to be above 7,500 feet when crossing radial 270, it make us save more fuel and time when comparing to Darke1B. Yes, I can make the video for the VOR approach. Some companies may have specific policies to fly in KTM. The one I know, only allows to fly the VOR approach with VNAV mode engaged (V/S can be used only within 4 DME, in VMC, to intercept the visual 3º path).
