Ойын-сауық

The station and name of the program are in the header for this clip. I've had it up before and it was deleted, so please don't mention either in the comments. Thanks.

I love how she detests the total vacuous nature of celebrity. Loathes it. I love how she's not driven by money. I love how she just goes to ground for years - which for many so called "artists" careers, would mean their career would terminate as a result, but Kate's doesn't. It creates more interest in her or rather her music. She doesn't care about being out of the so called spotlight. It means absolutely nothing to her. She disappears and comes back years later with another collection of songs before disappearing again. I love that about her. I love how her priority is her family and her music. Money and fame? No thanks. Well done Kate.

her way is the right way. I don't understand why some artists linger around constantly. I look at Dua Lipa and think you've made your money now go quietly into the sunset.

Messy? You haven't seen many pics of Kate Bush! That's one of the exquisite, charming things about her! She doesn't give a toss! And she's still incredibly beautiful. So what if she looks like she just got out of bed or blew in on the wind? Wish there were more like her.

God, her hair is GORGEOUS! Natural looking, sort of "I just got up from bed, and isn't it grand that I'm not a neurotic who needs a dozen hair stylists on call before doing an interview." Exquisite.

@goodtimetone Huh? That makes no sense. Touring is the most profitable part of music (after songwriting). If money was her priority, she would have been out there touring constantly. Kate's priority was artistic control.

Yes ! I have a press book starting from 1978 and she always kept answering the same way, in a very diplomatic manner. Never saying anything bad about other artists and citing the same references. A very constant woman. Her hair looked funny duing this interview...

she said just what she said in this interview in a radio interview in 2005, in pretty much exactly the same words, freaky!

She makes the out of bed look seem like the epitome of grace and style. Tori will be doing it soon.

Yeah, she tends to give the same answers over and over again. My wife and I (both huge Kate fans) have actually numbered her explanations for who she hasn't toured again. "Oh, it's a #3 with a side of #2."

She promoted "Hounds of Love". But "Lionheart" and "Never For Ever" weren't even released in the US until after "The Dreaming". Before that, you have to go back to her ONLY live US TV appearance. Kate has an almost invisible media profile in the US because she did virtually no promotion in the US. She did a week of promotion each for HOL and TRS. You get back what you put in.

Why did she call your home? Just watching a Janet Jackson documentary while writing this and her quiet personality reminds me of Kate`s.

It must have been a popular look at the time. Kate has an interest in fashion aside from her own sense of style.

Seriously though...Kate has done no virtually no promotion of her last two albums and STILL took 12 year between them.

Aerial was well worth the wait. I would never deprive an artist of anything thay deem more important, certainly in matters of human relationships and child rearing. I've waited longer for Lene Lovich and now Cyndi Lauper than even Kate. I pity the fools who spend more time hyping their work than actually creating it...and there are many.

One must ask oneself, how much modern art is lost because the artist is contractually obligated to do all the hype? And it does rob them of time and energy..

It's somewhat irritating and rather disappointing, that her look in this clip got to be described as messy. Not, that I don't had a smirk, thinking of her straight out of the bed. Yet, it's to consider, that wide curly manes were a beautiful aspect among many women, especially in the late 80s and early 90s. Like a blossom framing the charismatic beauty of the face. Just my humble view, the time after HoL and around The Sensual World defined my personal picture of her.

She looked like this when she collected an award several years back, I think she`s a little troubled and a slight recluse because fame messed her up.
