Porzingis - better jumpshot, better offensive and defensive awareness, better basketball IQ, better team dynamics, hustles more Towns - better overall offensive skill, better shot inside and footwork, better off the dribble, more active rebounder

rory Murphy KAT is clearly the superior player, with way more of a burden to carry than KP who can defer to Melo, Rose and co. to ease his transition. There's a funny adage that used to be thrown around the league. It goes: "If Tim Duncan had played in New York, he would've been a god."

people, you can't truly say KP better than that guy or worse than this guy. They call him the unicorn, never seen anything like him before. So before we and KP himself realise if he can be the next dominant force in the NBA or not no really serious comparisons should be made. I'm not trying to say comparing players is wrong, just sometimes you can't possibly have enough understanding of something to make a clear and correct opinion. P.S. KAT the better all round player but KP has the edge and the chance to be something really special

i dont understand how people say kat is more skilled then kp, no actually kp is just as skilled, he has a bunch of more to go to as well as kat, kp uses guard like moves to get his points like jab steps, spin jumpers, dirk fadeway jumpers, dribble pull up at the side of the basket to get easy bank shots, dream shake people off the post, post hop step jumper, and many other moves just because kat uses more traditional center moves for his size dont mean he more skilled then porzingis, plus porzingis came in the league with his shot mechanics down pact and perfected; where kat need to touch up on his jumper, porzingis >>>>>>>>>> kat

I'd like to see NBA, NCAA, and FIBA just to compare. Does this only apply to certain situations, i.e., up and under, or are there other moves that have similar limitations, i.e., Nowitzki's fall away jumper while standing on his non-pivot foot? Thanks for the help.

I love Porzingis' game, but what really does it for me atm are the big minutes for O'Quinn. The man makes the team so much better, hustling and bustling (as Clyde Frazier would say) in the low post, and he is a good passer, too. I know that the Knicks signed Noah especially for that kind of return, but O'Quinn was really the one doing it in Noah's absence. Will be interesting to see how he fares over the season. KAT is probably a Top 10 talent in the entire league, if not Top 5. He just needs to find a bit more aggressiveness imho, and mature as a player. Idk why the Wolves have so much trouble on the defense with Tibs being their coach and all. Maybe they go on a run once everyone knows exactly where he has to be at all times on the court.

Coming from a Knicks fan, Towns is the better player now, and will likely be one of the greatest to play the game when he retires. Porzingis is also good but his fundamentals are not good enough. Needs to hit the gym more often and learn some foot work, both offensively and defensively.

Towns' first step is lightning quick, he needs to finish better around the rim though, he rushes his shot. Porzingis' shot is more silkier, softer, he is a better shooter than Towns probably and he uses more finess when scoring the basketball than Towns. It is a lot of fun to watch them both KP is my favorite, I love his putback dunks and big blocks
