I have been following this case closely and I am originally from Canton. I don’t (didn’t) know John O’Keefe or Karen Read, but I have met or have socialized with just about everyone else from Canton in this case, and I interacted with the Albert family extensively through the years. Anyone who is honest, knows the players involved and no longer lives in the town, the scenario of an extensive cover-up is very believable. The four Weeks women and seven Albert (six men and one woman) siblings, when you include their in-laws, touch every power lever in town, to include the state representative, the Selectman, the CPD, MSP, BPD, and the Canton school system (the middle school is named after one of Jen McCabe’s (nee Weeks) in-laws. Their entire lives revolve around their social status in that town.

@@cobaltgoldgoblin Yes, Chief Rafferty hit an elderly man with her care. It was reported that the man was in a crosswalk and was wearing bright clothing. He spent several days in the hospital. It was reported that she was not cited for hitting him, and that she wasn’t even investigated for distracted driving. The double standard is appalling. If your average citizen hit an elderly man who was in a crosswalk and hospitalized him, you would have been treated differently.

I believe Karen. Where I'm from the DA, law enforcement, judges etc are all buddies and cop friends can get really obnoxious and dangerous. They feel like they can do anything, they are above the law, and they all cover for each other. I am so glad Karen has good attorneys and the Feds are now involved.

The fact that the prosecutor lied about what she said in the police body cam is very concerning. She never said she saw anyone slam his head into the taillight. How can he just lie like that? I don’t think he thought the judge was going to have him play that clip.

It's absolutely terrifying that the Prosecutor stood up in court and in front of millions watching and told the judge she said she saw the two officers smash his head into the taillight... it's absolutely ludicrous and he should be removed from the case immediately! There are potentially jurors watching this- we all know they do!- and who knows what lies he will say in front of the jury during trial.... it's so infuriating! Prosecutors are automatically trusted because they hold a position that is the most powerful in the US justice system.... Prosecutors are technically more powerful than a Judge and whether that was a mistake or unintentional lie doesn't matter and now his credibility is completely gone for me!

I know people who live in Canton and they say it is definitely a police cover up. They know the cops and the families involved and are confident this is a cover up.

I'm just barely getting into this case before the trial start tomorrow. But THIS is the biggest hole in their story it seems. Wouldn't have there been injuries to the hip or leg or even the abdomen? I watched the video where she was backing out and she bumped another car's bumper. It seems that this was when the tail light was broken. Did they find his DNA on her bumper or the broken light? It doesn't seem likely that this would corroborate his injuries.

Why would multiple cops put their lives on the line and risk life term sentences for her especially knowing how the police system and courts work I think they're smarter than that to risk their lives and that of their families for what ? @@carlf.9035I hear what you’re saying but I can’t help but imagine the cops in my local area growing up. Sure they were nice guys with wives and families etc but more than a few were known to sleep with the local gas station cashiers, other women at the local fireman’s club and a couple were messing with highschool aged girls when I was in highschool. They turned their heads when it came to a few known drug dealers and let things slide if you had the right connections. A few of them just flat out did what they wanted and no one questioned it or reported their actions. It affected my view of police for life, tbh. So It might seem crazy to cover murder for your buddies but it just doesn’t seem far fetched to me. This whole thing is just fishy all around 🤷🏼‍♀️

Why not bring up how the Albert’s, Proctor and Higgins “story” all changed as soon as they found out the Feds had their phones. @@errolflynn281 I want to see the expert testify on this. If he states this i would agree, This is why, at this time, before the trial even starts, i think she might not be responsible. At this time. Scarily, I have seen a person get hit by a car in a parking lot. The car was not traveling more than 20 mpg, i believe, not excessively fast for a parking lot, and TRUST me, that car was DAMAGED. The guy luckily was not hurt that bad (from what i could see) and walked away after a while. If she had hit this man hard enough to kill him, her car would have MORE damage than a broken just tail light. And a video shows how the tail light was broken, she backed into his parked car in the drive way as she was leaving. There would also be a LOT of DNA of his on her car.

He is an dog trainer for many years who explained in detail how these bite wounds were created by the teeth of a German Shepherd dog, that tried to get a grip on John's O'Keefe arm through a t-shirt with long sleeves. You get those slipping away bites, because of that smooth fabric textile..(a bare arm would have given a different bite pattern, deeper and with clearer teeth marks in them!)

Any bad things that have ever happened to me or caused me to make really poor decisions have been when i was under the influence of alcohol. It should be banned. Its poison. The police chief had access to broken light pieces from parking lot, it seems.

Fox news boston has been broadcasting live the complete hearings on youtube.

She said the tail light was cracked and his body was pulverized…as in these injuries were too severe to have been caused by hitting him with her car.

The prosecutor lied when he said that! That's not what Karen said! He wasn't ran over he was beaten to death and the dog got into the fight as well!!

What??? That doesnt even make sense. She's relying on the evidence, or lack there of. This entire case smells like sh*t thanks to a shotty investigation by corrupt law enforcement in addition to the Norfolk DA being hell bent on "winning" rather then getting justice for Officer O'Keefe!

Of all the things I have seen and heard, there is one thing I know with complete certainty; those are scratch marks and puncture wounds. I do not see how it is remotely possible to leave those kinds of marks getting hit by a car. This is the only thing I know for sure. There are clearly puncture marks..... how does the back of a car do that?

All the lies surrounding this case scream corruption. This poor woman is fighting for her life. I can't wait to see these people take the stand. Her taillight was cracked while backing out off her garage, and she hit his car that morning. There is ring footage of it. Theres also 42 minutes missing from the sally port from the police station? Innocent people dont destroy phones or footage 🤔

Every body language expert has said the same thing, the way she looks, sits, talks - it’s because she’s confident with what she’s saying.

I was in a car once when a back wheel came off we didnt know until it past us,roled down the road then fell over we stopped only to realise it was are back wheel, my friend had to take one knut off each tire to get us home,vit was the strangest thing because none of us felt a thing,just saw the wheel rolling past us, no idea what happened to the wheel knuts

The tail light may be cracked but it is throughly intact on the morning she went to look for him so how did that tail light get broken and on John when it is all there that morning ?

There isn’t a dog involved. The defence has dropped that fanciful theory. Tests for DNA were done early and repeated. Reads team just like throwing up garbage to stooge the media and her fans. She’s a killer and a liar.

@@stevenprice6957 Testing done on his clothing. Which part of the clothing? Why wasn't any tissue preserved (like the prosecutor said it was and then later said it was never preserved)? Testing for DNA was not done early - it was sent out in November 2023. It was also not repeated. Clearly, you don't have enough information to say that she's a killer.

If the report of one of the people in the house was searching how long for a person to freeze to death (something like that) on the night of the death... I think that's all the defense needs to show for the 3rd party blame.

What bothers me is her smiling and laughing with her attorneys. This is a serious charge, a fine young man has died. A few hours after John’s death she sarcastically says something about individuals being in on “a joke.” Vinnie you are one of the few I can watch on this case…💔

It’s more than a few hours - she was out on bond and days later her charges were upgraded to 2nd degree murder. she’s not even been able to grieve because of the coverup / frame job.

She seems off to me I don't think you're wrong to find that behavior strange. She also tries hard to explain her position in interviews if you watch them it comes off as if she's trying to sell a product it seems detached from her actual truth and reality. It just doesn't sound genuine as a wife grieving and shocked by everything going on just more like her trying to convince others of a story to believe.

I'm beginning to believe these so called experts get a quick case summary from Court TV and answer to that. I'm not a lawyer or claim to be a so called expert but I know more about the Karen Read case than these yahoos apparently do! Sheesh.

Always look forward to Closing Arguments! We know you’re on the side of truth, Vinnie. In reference to Phillip’s point, I’m confused as to why the defense won’t identify the 3rd party. I believe Karen, but this makes her look super shady. Hoping we get the truth in trial.

This whole case surely indicates that there is reasonable doubt that she did this. The whole thing is very suspicious. If she is innocent, which I believe she is, the fact that they would frame an innocent person to cover up for their fellow officers is highly disturbing. She is spending her entire finances trying to save herself from a false accusation. If I was being falsely accused, I would have an attitude also. And as far as Suitcase Sarah, please....first of all her playing hide and seek and arts and crafts BS. It is hardly hide and seek when you put him in the suitcase and zip it up....and her 7th attorney. Ridiculous. It is her own fault that she hasn't had a trial yet.

Cracked I parking lot would not mean little pieces didn't fall out later. Common sense.

The dog DNA didn’t work for the defence, so guess what. They’ve dropped that myth. What a joke the defence are. Do you realise her lawyer said early that this was an accident and not on purpose so she shouldn’t be charged in this manner. Later on reads team change it up. She has changed her story 4 times. She said she knows that they pulverised him against her tail light. What lol. So she knows this she said so it’s her car and she was in it. So did she drive home after that and come back 4 hours later ? Think about how laughable that sounds.

Vinnie, I love your coverage on this case. I love that you're not one side or the other and are confused. I'm so confused and I don't know what to think. I think both sides are just wrong, but they could also be right! What happened?? Usually I can see that something doesn't necessarily look good for the defendant, at least. Whatever the case is, the investigation into what happened to Officer O'Keefe was and is a disgrace. That's all I know.

If Brian Higgins and Brian Albert and Colin A. were really innocent, they would have collected all the camera images from the entire neighborhood together frantically to prove that they were innocent! But instead, everyone's camera images from the whole neighborhood that night, were suddenly no longer existing ( all evidence Karen was innocent disappeared too ) Think about that!
