I think there's no possible way he's innocent ..absolutely none. I also don't believe he worked completely alone all of these years, maybe with a parner(s). He is a horrible human , but also not an uneducated one. I think the trips his wife took being documented was intentional as a "just in case scenario " and he figured if police had already found the devices they were kept on, he'd be screwed anyway so might as well document her trips to keep her out of trouble. I'm not saying she was an active participant at all, but it's pretty far fetched to think she had zero idea of what was happening across decades . However, this is just imho, not proven as fact (yet) I will wait to see the documentary as well and see if it changes my mind.

Manhattan was where he worked. People disappear in Manhattan every day. Very tough to find any traces of his victims there. He must have become suspicious of security cameras everywhere in the city starting around 20 years ago. Perhaps that's when he changed his pattern and began to dump his victims on Long Island. We will never know how many women and girls he tortured and killed. Chilling.

I don't think she necessarily knew and the police appear to be backing this. I can presume he would travel a lot with his job and use this as an excuse to his family for being away. And of course he likely used work as an excuse for not accompanying them, so he could use the home while they were away. This will not be the first or the last time that family are unaware. I think it is very harsh and ignorant to accuse a family that must be in extreme in shock. Use a bit of empathy and imagine yourself in their situation or are you all too clever and too superior for this to ever happen to you!

in Rex's list he states a holding area. the detectives keep saying the family was out of town at the time of these disapparences and murders.. i bet ten to one they don't have an exact date when they was murdered. yes, the family was out of town when he took them. but all he had to do was hang on to them for a bit. God only knows what eles.. then who knows exactally when he took them to Gilgo beach. i also hope they took DNA off every electronic divice, every piece of evidence they took. that many phones and computer, electronics and Rex be the only one to use them????? and this is the first time i have ever heard of a serial killer doing these things right under the family noses. BTK did his stuff outside the home, yes he had hiding places in and around the home for his drawings and collections but never did the killings in the home. i also don't know how a serial killer can control his urges to only do them when his family goes on vacation. then there is the 50 motel key/cards.. i hope they checked each and every date out from those if it is possible. and lastly we haven't heard what they took out of his storage sheds. it is a darn shame it took so long to find these women and start to identify them because i feel they can't really give a real date of their murder. they may have been held up in his home for weeks. we don't have proof of this. how did he clean this up? where did he dispose of the trash? what did he clean it with? his wife didn't come home from vacation and wonder why it smells like bleach and yet the home is a wreck? i know some of these victoms was possibly not done in the home but i also think there is way more to be uncovered. i hope they do get down to what really happened. i don't want to say the family did anything but i can't see how they didn't know something was off. my opinion only.

This truly makes Hannibal Lecter look like an amateur. I'm staggered his wife never knew, or did not see or even suspect something throughout the entire time they were married, maybe she even turned a blind eye or was too scared herself to say or do anything. This list he made, the holding area, where was this, if his wife knew nothing then there must be a building elsewhere Rex took the girls to. The screams through torture would indicate a remote location or an anechoic chamber. I think there is a mountain more to be shed in this case and the authorities are only scratching the surface.

I would like to have that officer confirm the story or even Asa. What even the DA has not been able to confirm is was there never a body there when they returned? What about the smell? Bleach stinks so strongly, other high powered cleaning products. Family hair on bodies? Means house not too tidy and he isn't Mr. Clean. Well, Hansen was able to clean up his crime scene so well his family, didn't notice. However, Hansen didn't erase onsite as it seems RH did. Why I was disappointed but can imagine Asa having such a fit? Police found out they missed vital clues not wanting to upset her more than she was already I imagine the first time. I don't think, based on her story, they beieved he committed crimes in the house. Remembering her saying she will sue police, after what evidence we did already see before the search. If me? Find temp housing. Tear the place apart if you have to. Though of course, I wouldn't tolerate half of what she did. I have more respect for victims families. I do not have the creditline she has. Still, I can replace a pipe, call a plumber, purchase some supplies if it meant solving murders. I'd be more concerned about my families safety. Thank goodness no bail! The police were not there making a house call.

A man stopped his car in front of me- jumped out and said “security- we have u shop lifting.” As I stood stunned thinking “did I take something?” He opened passenger door & pushed me in. I realized I didn’t buy nor take anything & only bought laundry detergent for my mom. I kicked & screamed as he pushed & punched me. A kid I met only once who lived on the other side of town saw me & yelled “Lisa?” I screamed “Steven?” The would be abductor immediately threw me to the ground & sped off. To this DAY I am TRAUMATIZED that he must have abducted another girl since he didn’t get me. Steven & I got his license plate but I was TOO SCARED to tell my parents fearing they would never let me out again!!! My young mind didn’t understand how close to death I was! This was around 1986 - 1988. I remember what he looked like - hippy looking long mustache light brown hair. Any deaths in JC, NJ during those years of young teen girls? How do I find out? Thank you

@@GlamGam1964 another time when I was 7 years old I was walking home from School that was literally two blocks down at the end of my street, two men in a black Cadillac were following me home. When I got to my porch they made a U Turn to me right in front of me. They kept offering me candy and I stood there mesmerized or in shock. I kept remembering my mom saying “don’t talk to strangers.” They saw I was frozen in place and put a Raggity Ann doll out of the window … I loved Raggity Ann. I stood staring at the doll. When they realized I was not walking to the car to get it, they opened door to get me. I ran up my stairs to my house so fast and started to scream to my grandma that someone is trying to kidnap me. Lisa thank god you got away both times. When my daughter was nine. One summer evening teatime my daughter wasn't home for her tea. A couple of hours went by, and she still wasnt home. I rang the police as it was unusual, she had never missed. They came out and began searching for her. I did too I was panicking. Eventually about a total of 4 hours passed and she 2qlked in the door. Police was nice and left. After police left she told me she was scared to come home because a man dressed as a woman wearing a wig with hairy back hands tried enticing her into a red ford van. A small one. He put a bottle of orange juice out the window for her to take. She said she went fast away going behind the vehicle because she thought he might knock her down if she went in front. Bless her.. I rang police and ecplained They put patrol on for a week around my street and park. Shortly afterwards a man dressed as a woman tried abducting a child from the fairground. He ran off into a block of flats. He eventually got arrested. That was 40 years ago. Any predatory child snatcher is seriously deranged. I'm so glad you are safe, and that my daughter got away. She said it was someone that knew she liked orange juice, and she thought who it might be and was scared...

The reason he was identified was the “rip off” was the act of “Omg! My husband is home.” The boyfriend saw him on that date and again when he conned this girl to come out, without her phone, and get in his truck. The boyfriend watched as he told her it was too dangerous. The police at that time were hitting strip joints after work and swayed this case away from investigation and from the FBI.

Stupid attorney thinking he has a memory issue, he has never studied criminology, serial killers have a phenomenal memory, they suffer from obsessive compulsive behavior and the multiple hairnets is like needing multiple gloves, just because you have multiple anything doesn't mean there is more then one person involved, the attorney should work a day in any bakery, kitchen or deli in retail outlets

This guy's lack of common sense is irritating. Hair nets are like surgical gloves, you can't buy them individually, you buy in them in packs of (usually) 25, 50 or 100+ The fact that he didn't seem capable of considering that and immediately jumped to the suggestion of multiple perpetrators is a serious credibility issue.

mcl I agree mostly but also it doesn't mean the 2 hairnet was for him alone. They could be but it's speculation right now. OCD is part of the make up of a serial killer but sometimes another might be involved. I guess time will tell. I would like to know why 2 hairnets... I mean he could've worn them both together for securing his hair more. He is Evil looking too, it seeps from his face

@@ct5625I think that by saying RH himself needed 2 hairnets, which he wrote on his list is not saying he needs to buy a box with the content of many. He just wrote 2 hairnets Doesn't matter what quantity they are sold in. On his list he wrote 2...Hairnets. Still...A serial killer has an impeccable memory and a stickler for detail. Methodical and intricately planned.

@@Pixie.Little Characteristically serial killers do not work in pairs, there has been less then a handful throughout history that have. Any person that works retail will tell you how important hair nets, beard nets and gloves are when it comes to hygiene, cleanliness and contamination. This was a work of a single individual that was extremely meticulous and organized
