This reminds me of the time i was at Target, and some Karen shoved a customer out of the way to jump in line, and then proceeded to do pretty much what the story in this video details. But a bit more crazy and she started throwing things at the clerk. The customer she shoved, happened to be a off-duty Police Officer, SWAT commander. She was on the ground and restrained in a flash.

The title of the story alone probably had a lot of people wondering how that was even possible, but apparently it is.

Second story was like :"Whooh, that was a close one"

Honestly, im glad james was able to understans the situation he was in, and seeked guidance from those that offered. To better himself and those following him, he didnt use that power over everyone.

Entitled Karens, I bet, is the reason _“brick and mortar”_ shops are collapsing at a rapid pace.

The second this witch started by pushing the other lady's basket away, I would have told her to go to the back of the line and that I wasn't serving her because of her behavior.

A lot of people only have either book smarts or street smarts. Some of the dumbest things I’ve seen done were by people I know who have masters degrees

My mother acts similar to the Karen in story #1. I used to go shopping with her (my school ended earlier than my younger siblings, but only by 45 minutes) and she would triple check the receipts and if she was overcharged even a penny she would ruin a innocent customer service person’s day. This of course made her late to pick up my siblings, and the security guard was very unhappy and told her to come earlier. Then she would be in a bad mood for the rest of the day and ruin our evening. My mother is also a narcissist, and majority of these Karens are probably narcissists too.

OH Hell no!! I don't understand why some people just think they are entitled to be treated like they own the place. And I can't wait for someone to fix her attitude with a slap in the face

Story 1: I dont know whats worse, the Karen or the fact this was a Boxing day/week sale.... those days are just terrible. People seem to forget the phrase of "Right To Refuse Service" and i know i would've the second she cut in line and was acting that way towards the previous customer. This Karen was clearly just being a snag just to try and get already discounted items for cheaper or even free. Not every single item at a "sale" is going to be on sale. It seems like the manager Charlie was on the OP's side through all of this, so i would've taken the chance and yelled and cussed at this stupid Karen.... some people deserve it. Hopefully that Karen never shows up ever again. Story 2: Considering one of the political parties named here was the New Democratic Party (NDP), im guessing that this took place in Canada, since they have a decent following here. Having that party involved in anything non-union is a huge red flag. I dont know if the OP could be the one to blame here, but i think that the James guy is. OP just had a simple suggestion and James took the idea and ran with it and really turned it into something bad. Stuff like this is a big reason why people need to be careful with groups like this.

Man retail is the pits. When some folks, especially those with coupons, think they might not get their few cents off discount they start to scream, froth at the mouth, and get in your face. Seriously you’re going to almost give yourself a heart attack over pennies off a dollar? Coupons should have never been invented. I hated them.

My Dil works customer service and I tell her that they should be able to go off on a at least once a week.

Even if I got fired over it, if someone ever did that to me, I would literally direct her somewhere else. I am not a babysitter and it's not in my job description to deal with entitled children who think the world revolves around them. I will deal with customers, not brats.

SOMEONE STARTED A CULT WITHOUT REALIZING IT?

Story 1, if I had been the one in charge that day I would’ve shut that entitled hag down the moment she grabbed the old lady’s things, shoved it back into her arms and made her get back in line! That’s assault! It’s already a given that Karen is leaving the store without her groceries. But will she be under arrest when she does. First it will be the old lady’s decision whether or not she wants to press charges and then if the old lady decides not to it will be the Karen’s decision whether to go quietly or not!

Sale goods need some kind of marking so customers like this can't argue.

Imagine.

This is why I say working 6 months retail and/ or fast food should be required

First story... I've been a cashier since 1981, we do not set the prices. The computer programmer assigned a price to that SKU number, one they were told to put in. I cannot over ride the price, the store manager can make an exception in an emergency. Your failure to pay attention to exactly what is on sale, that is not my emergency. Not my circus, not my monkey. Quit trying to lie and say you got something off of a sale table, because if we roll back security camera footage from the time you entered the store, are we going to see you putting random items on the sale table? 😲🎥 I like shopping at Walmart with their app, I scan everything, especially stuff on the clearance aisle. Some items don't belong there, because people leave things in random places. (Like the time I found a watermelon in the bra department. WTH?) Makes me wish all stores had an app to scan their merchandise while shopping. Don't blame the cashier for that SKU number being assigned to that price. Question it yes, but don't blame someone for something out of their control. Couple of months ago found yellow spiral notebooks scanning for 10¢, other colors not on sale. Got to the register and it scanned up 89¢, umm no. I called a cashier over, showed her my phone, and the register, she scanned it with her company device, it also said 10¢. So I got my price adjustment and 11 notebooks for 10¢ each. Not every store will do that, be aware of where you are shopping. Also if their shelf says one thing, and it scans more expensive, take a clear photograph of the shelf price and SKU number, they will price adjust at the register. I saved 10¢ a can on chicken for a couple of months before they fixed the sticker. 😊 However I was always polite when asking for price adjustments. *You can catch more flies with honey, than you can with vinegar.* Karens are nothing but vinegar. 👵☮️🖖

try being a field engineer working on POS equipment and have people in a crowded store try and use the lane you are repairing to check out and try to get you fired when you say the lane is closed. I say feel free, find someone in here that can fire me, there isn't anyone, I am my own boss and corporate hired me, the karen's love that reply. but mainly I just ignore them, stare right at them, then act like on phone by openly talking, yeah, there is this crazy person who thinks I work here, again... if they don't walk away I describe them and it can get interesting...
