Story 1: At least the OP had a great boss in that owner. He really came to the OP's defence with that stupid dad and the OP's anxiety, he sure has my respect. Also, why would the dad think that every store would have uniforms for their employees? Nametags maybe, but not every place has a uniform of some sort. Glad he was thrown out, he was a major douche. Story 2: Wow, i feel awful for that uncle for what he dealt with. It seems like everyone has a family member or extended family member with some horror stories from war. I have a couple in my family. I can totally see why the uncle didn't want to talk about all that, the PTSD would've been pretty extreme for him. Least i'm glad he got his revenge on that officer and had a good/better life afterwards. Story 3: The Karen really needed to keep better reigns on the little kid here. Asking questions a lot is one thing, but climbing on the ladder and getting touching the OP is just annoying and adding to the OP's anxiety, and the Karen really should've done something rather then get snippy with the OP.... and dont give me the "you dont have kids" BS either. The Karen was clearly just letting the kid run rampant.. why should the OP be patient with the kid? Also, the Karen was totally out of line with her comments to the manager. I hate it when Karen's lie like that to people. More reasons why people like that both shouldn't have children and shouldn't be allowed in public.. and more reasons why working in retail is awful. Story 4: Yeah i think everyone has had an interaction with a co-worker like this before. Least cool heads prevailed here.

Story 2 - it's not about killing him; it's about inflicting that power over him, over and over. That SS chose not to kill him because it was his 'mercy' that allowed Uncle to live. It was about breaking his spirit to show all the would-be heroes that might try to fight them that they had dominion over them. And if they were lucky they would die quickly. I would've choked him with one hand too, stared him out as the life drained away. Good man, Uncle.

The pet store story reminded of a time I took my kids to the pet store for gold fish. They had this pretty indoor lake with duck in it, my kids were fast and quickly ran to the duck to pet it before I could get out the words (keep your hands out of the ducks space) the duck bit my son on the finger and my daughter on the nose backed up and I just laughed I said that's what happens when you don't respect an animals space, (the bite didn't hurt they we're just shocked)

My 4yo daughter is very affectionate and likes giving hugs. Hugs to anyone and everyone! Yea it's sweet but I do think about the people out there that don't like being touched and I try my best to explain to my daughter that not everyone wants hugs and she has to ask them for a hug first. And to also ask if she can pet a dog being walked nearby bc if she runs up to them they might bite her and she'll scare them. She's slowly getting it but still needs work. Those parents don't think like that though. It's just "oh so cute" to them and will one day backfire. Smh.

How are you doing? Oh I see you're taking your dog out for a walk, how's your dog doin? Just all the little questions people ask. It still makes us smile thinking how cute she was. 😊

Story 3 : I have a disability called Misophonia and kids are one of my most severe triggers… I can’t be anywhere where I can see OR hear them or I am practically guaranteed to meltdown and when I meltdown I’m VERY LOUD (not violent like some people with the same condition I just scream everything that I need to say because I have no volume control when melting down and I’m stuck in scream mode) I’m fine if I don’t have to see or hear kids - or any of my other triggers - though!

Which sucks, but the thing is this (and this comes from someone with disabilities) life is not changing for us. We change for life. OP, you, and I need to figure out our accommodations or adjustments. If this means working in the back in retail for OP so be it. If it means not being able to work in locations where kids are frequent so be it. The child and parent was a jerk. But OP needs to find accommodations. One hour of lost productivity is not acceptable. They need to either arrange to work in the back, figure a way to deal with even bratty kids, or they need to find a new line of work

Which I agree with. However, life will not change for us. Either we (people with disabilities which includes myself) adapt or we suffer the consequences. So for OP they either need to: Pick a line of work away from children Work in the back in their store Find ways to handle kids Understand that they will eventually get fired because 1hr of lost productivity is not good

If so, he wasn't there for too long, prisoners were just enough fed to live something like 3 month before dying. With his wound, he would have been sent to the gas chamber too. This officer just probably wanted to keep him around for the fun of it. Can't blame him for killing him in the most painful way he could back then.

OP needs to figure out how to control this or work in the back at their job…or find a new job all together. Why? Because quite honestly their behavior will get them fired. When they finally got rescued and the concentration camp freed he ended up finding the captured soldier and one of the Americans helped him The American soldier proceeded to grab his the Nazi officers gun handed to my sister-in-law's grandfather and he shot him in the head and took that gun as a trophy home with him except for when he went to get on a boat to come to America are you a soldier took the gun sign he couldn't have it.
