KCR Changed the previous design for his own benefits. Even SEA level didn't considered in New plan. Old plan costs only 30k crores, but new project costed 1lakh crore + water Distribution under construction costs 40K crore + 13k core EB/year.

This project has benefited alot to telangana… we used to get water once a week.. but now water problem in my society is solved…

Kaleshwaram project have truly benifited to Telangana in irrigation , but due to sundhila barrage most of the living areas in near by cities , villages were suffering with heavy floods from last 2 years .. they didn't even expect it earlr how it is going to lose for common people too.. & also illigal house construction permissions also made it more effective for common people during rainy season...

Cost benefit analysis need to be done on whole life of the project. Not on 3 or 4 years

I am from Hyderabad, Telangana. Not sure completely on corruption behind it and I support for enquiry. But early 2016 we have lot of water problems getting one day a week is also difficult and even ground water was not available after going 1000 feets. After completing the kaleshwaram project our water problems are completely solved alongwith ground water was increased and now water is at 200-300 feets. Kudos for solving the problem but if any corruption behind is there need to be investigated.

How does ground water increase? huge water sinks from reservoirs to atleast 50kms radius. Thus huge ground water levels have increased. whether it has corruption or not, people have benefitted.

@@sunilkumarcheruvu So you are saying from past 40years rains are not adequate only after 2019 rains are plenty. We know how much water scarcity existed before lift irrigation. False allegations can made but Statistics never say wrong. I do not support to the cracks/any corruption associated to the project but with the lift irrigation we are getting water alternative days and earlier not even a day on week and due to sufficient water getting from government lifting from home bore's are reduced eventually ground water has increased.

I am from this area...kaleshwaram project means not only one barrage and there are three barrages on godavari and so many pump houses , tunnels and balancing reservoirs, distribution networks etc..the total cost so far incurred is about 80k lakhs only so allegations about 1 lakh crore is politically motivated.. the CWC engineers also visited the project during construction and described it as an engineering marvellous...so keep aside the political leaders view and let some technical experts decide the status of the project condition purely on the basis of technical grounds...the water availability has increased enormously in North Telangana due to this project and farmers are benefited

This video is Nonsense....There are no proven facts that this lift irrigation project has witnessed corruption.Stop misleading people.

Improper grouting of subsoil is main reason for the problem. It can be rectified by grouting after re-constructing damaged piers. After grouting its life time will be definetely more than 50 years. Further, it is essential to provide sand dune along down stream side upto one meter below bottom level of gate opening. This project must be contined in the public service for benefit of farmers.

The NDSA report is given in 2days without any soil testing, etc. So it's not a fare report and just a political agenda report. However, it's true that there is a problem in one of the pillars of the project which L&T should analyse and repair asap. Btw Kaleshwaram is not a very small project it has many sections and any major projects would go through rough phases like this. Even Nagarjuna Sagar, Prakasham Barage, Srisailam etc did have technical problems which are documented. Trust me people are talking about cost mentioning about it's better to give farmers money that the maintenance cost. But if we do not have water if a bad season comes-(I wish it should not happen) then money can't buy water. Ground reality is farmers are now able to grow 3season crops in Telangana which was not the case under United AP. Everyone does know the fact that in our Nation, not even one project would happen without giving commission to political parties. So, in one way I am atleast happy that BRS completed the project even if they eat some percent of commission in the process.

Bro, the cost per acre of irritation is 70 to 80k. Whatever the reason is, farmers also, it's costlier than using kinley or bisleri water bottles. And every year the current bill of this one project is more then current bill of all other govt offices. And it occupies nearly 2% of budget. It's practically impossible.

More details 3 barrages 1531 kms of gravity canal 203 kms tunnels 20 lifts 19 pump houses 20 reservoirs Project aim : 1. Provide irrigation to 45 lakh acres. (area of telengana 280 lakh acres) 2. Stabilisation of 18.83 lakh acres. ( which already have irrigation facility) 3. Drinking water of 40 TMC. 4. Industry 16 tmc Achieved 1. Only 18.25 lakh acres got new irrigation against target 45. 2. Stabilisation 18.83 lakh acres. It already have irrigation facility. 3. Drinkimg water, no data on 40 tmc. 4. Industry water no dats. Total water availablity 240 TMC Irrigation 169 TMC Total cost 1.3 lakh crores. Lets take it 80k crore only which govt expected initially. 169 /240 tmc for irrigaion. Approximate cost for irrigaion. (169/240)*( 80k crore / 37 lakh acres) = 1,52,000 rupees per acre. But project is 1.3 lakh crore this makes it 250k per acre. Cost of irrigation per acre from kaleshwaram = rs 250k Now please say how the project is a sucess. Note: I took 35 lakh acres, but new ayacut is 50% only. If you consider the same, it becomes 5 lakh per acre. If you want reference of notes, have this link, I uploaded the material. In the process of fast development, some small issues have come up. These will be rectified in coming days. This project has helped so much that Telangana has become rice bowl of India beating the other states and also helped in keeping Telangana at the top position in per capita income compared to any other state in India. Btw farmer suicides are least in Telangana now. It’s too early to say that it is a failure just before elections.

I'm from telangana and before kaleshwaram project our village farmers are able to irrigate 1 crop per year But after this project we are able to irrigate all te year even in summers before 5years our lands are 4-5lakhs per acer and now in 2023 they are 1 cr per acer ❤🎉 we are proud of our x chief minister CM KCR❤❤

I am resident of rural part( Thorrur) of warangal district Telangana, in my village and near by my Villages there is SRSC canal which was digged in 2007-2008 when i was in 9th or 10th I haven't see single drop of water except raining season, but after kamleshwaram project it is floating full of water, in covid 1 and 2 we use to swim in those canal, i will not agree Telangana didn't benefitted, it gave huge water supply for farmers, i also agree there might be some corruption KALESHWARAM IS REVOLUTION

There are so many biname's are working under them like Megha constructions, My home etc..

Pump house also drowned during floods and with this project cm family assests have grown 1200 times due to fund diversion.

Its not built by some binami or a close aid of KCR. Its built by L&T which is one of the most trusted companies in the world. That mistake is caused by sinking of the piers and not due to lack of quality.

Nobody (except officials) is allowed to see the project from more than a year. This goes to show how telangana govt hiding its failed project ever since it submerged last year. The project was designed by kcr, not engineers. National media should focus on this matter and bring the truth out.

People know that everybody is corrupt. Not what matters to them is development and facilities

Kaleshwaram project is like Hambantota project in Srilanka… financially not viable… but wondering what central government was doing when Kaleshwaram construction was going on… Obviously auditing would have done

No project will be viable in Telangana if you check the econimcs 🤷🏾‍♂️ State is above the sea level up 600 meters . Only lift irrigation projects is the only solution

It will not make sense now, Telangana is close to water shortage. When the situation comes no one will compensate or debate on this. As I see the Telangana government is building an electricity generation station, on time being it will reduce price. Think guys water cannot be priced.

If Kaleshwaram is scam, Then dams built by centre are also scam. Any construction will have some Repair and modifications that needs to be done. Centre didn’t gave 1 Rupee to that Project by the way.

It has become a white elephant. Govt needs to spend 10,000 crore every year just to lift water. Imagine. The return on investment is less than 1% a year.

good analysis, actually i am a civil engineer in my opinion it is a failure in cost benifit ratio incomplete project till now mostly the lifted water again released into river due to flood rise in river when there is a chance for gravity canals & reservoirs but only for commissions and percentage opted lift irrigation. many doubts in quality, transperency, maintenance cost ? if detailed investigation intiated it will be a indias largest scam.

I am from hyderabad and the kcr has so many cores corrupted in kaleswaram project I request put a enquiry from central for him.

Among the three Barrages medigadda, sundilla and annaram , am from annaram village

People are forgetting about power bills every year which will cost 10k crores, they can follow Anna Harare model and improve ground water with much cost effective way, I would the state had invested such money on solar energy and have saved 1000s of crores every year for state and can have been used to build agriculture wearhouses, other ecosystem for farmers to thrive...

This project ruined all the deposits of Telangana.

Kaleshwaram irrigation project (A)

Kaleshwaram is the life line of Telangana state. After 2014, the state government rennovated many lakes, pounds in the state and all are interlinked connected with each other. When it launched everyone appreciated as a marvelous engineering. There should be some pros and cons as it's a world largest lift irrigation project. The real usage of this project can be understood in continuous drought years. Money can't buy food. Apart from political blames, this project truely needy project for telangana. Another project Palamuru have to complete in time. So that Telangana farmers can do cultivation throughout the year

South Indian states have a great advantage of sea but still they face water crisis & ground water depletion then the desalination of sea water for human consumption must be promoted on a large scale like it is in Dubai & Saudi Arabia.

Bro Telangana is a landlocked state and it is located on Deccan platue which is an high altitude.. so we have prblms with water availability.. so we have to depend on rivers.

You can say all south Indian states but except Telangana. Hyderabad lies 1788 feets high from sea level neither sea nor a backwater or floating rivers are existed in Telangana and due to this government initiated for lift irrigation.

For KCR and his party Telangana is limited to Hyderabad, like Uddhav Thakare (Mumbai) beyond that there is no development at all. If you keep minority appeasement beside the KTR is far better to anyone else particularly for Hyderabad, KCR must work on development for the rest of the Telangana.

It's a forecasting failure project due to design was made like dam was combined with reservoir...... Reservoir need to located separately which with geographically feasible location..... Tunnels , Surjpools, reservoir...... Those need to be rectified by an expertise team in using minimal electric power and gravitational force to be majorly in modified design...... These One lakh crore may be better used if kaleswaram was not constructed , and the same fund amount if utilised on another program on youth empowerment it may led to development of human resources.....

KCR intelugu is called” kachara “He is so greedy in a short period of 10 years he amassed trillions of rupees .ED,IT must investigate him.there is already a case pending against him in Sahara PF case
