The most important criterion are natural sea depths of 20+ m and very little siltation. Vadhavan has a sea depth of 20 m with little siltation. Then location and connectivity to hinterland are important. Western coast is best for trade with Middle East, Africa, Europe and America. Also Maharashtra and Gujurat are very well to the rest of the country through railways and roadways. Do some research before commenting.

It should be sold to any private body. Also if government give it on lease then time period should be only 5-10 years.
