John Hayes yeah, I initially got it for the look and cnc build but then after using it I was happy with the purchase. I never really thought about durability but it has lasted over all this time and I'm always beating on the car and it still shifts great and I haven't broken anything.

+Tasean Beckles if you ever feel you need to grease it, use a white lithium grease. It should be fine for a very long time right out the box. I only did mine because I'm kind of OCD.

Naot tsaab my passenger airbag is still installed and my just my drivers bag removed. I have a Works Bell QRS and a normal WorksBell hub that gives you a bypass for the airbag to install. it keeps the airbag light from being on and your passenger airbag can stay functional if you want. NRG doesn't have these little extra additions with their quick release and hub systems.

The ktuned shifter can use stock and their aftermarket race cables, so you're good either way

MrKeffo it's not something I just made up. It's a rare oem navigation unit from a right hand drive civic. yes it works, but I don't use it. I got it for how rare it is and for the appreciation of old school technology. Using the navigation in the US is pointless, it's not an up to date map, won't be in english, and very difficult to set up because you need all the pieces that didn't come with the American version of the civic.

bros I messed up I bought that k tuned fifth gear lockout and arm kit for the stock shifter and lately I been wanting the race spec shifter and cables. good video tho bro

Jason Jackson upgrading the stock box is a good choice though. great budget way to go about it and for drag only cars, it's a really worthwhile choice going that route. I daily drove for years so I wanted a beefy setup that I won't have to worry about ever.

Nicee shifter looks strong aff and sexy, my stock shifter is so stiff and doesn't return to centre, I got the stock shifter replaced, new clutch and slave cylinder and same issue and tough on occasions to get into 1st and 2nd and reverse, any ideas what u think it is bro

Have you tried the Hybrid racing shifter? I have a HR Shifter in my K swapped and love hoe tight and short the throws are. I tried my friends Ktuned shifter and the throws didnt feel short to me. Not sure if his was on the shortest setting or not though

Kinda vague, but yes. I had a hybrid shifter first. The no cut shifters aren't shit compared to the rsx style shifters from both companies.

+Gerardo Paez it comes with the hardware to install it properly. There's options as well. Like the shifter base plate. The base plate isn't necessary but if you'd like to not have to cut the exhaust tunnel, you can buy that plate as well. Only things you'd need to buy with this shifter are shifter cables, and a shift knob.

I thought about exposing my shifter like this on my honda prelude. but I was going to have the same issues of dust and debris getting in it .so I ended up keeping the cover on

It's different when it comes to a factory shifter or even the regular ktuned billet shifter. I have the race spec version, there is no way it will fit under the stock shift boot. Only the regular no cut shifters and the standard ktuned rsx shifter will still under the oem shift boot and covers.

there is a big difference. I just wanted thr mechanics of the transmission exposed to give it a more racing feel. but I figured dirt and debris would eventually start falling down in there

+Double Clutch my civic. That's why I build one. It's more interesting to me to build and drive something that was never meant to perform versus an average car that was designed with performance as a main point unless it was a very high end performance vehicle.

Now that's my kind of build ! Perfect civic in my eyes not this stance shit no offense to any stance people

+justn Edusada you can only make it worth with shifter cable transmissions. Won't worth with a shift linkage type transmission. Some H series people have used it

My Interior isn't black. It's the original dark gray interior. I did add black floor mats because the original gray ones are discontinued. Eventually I'll add some oem black carpet but I'll be keeping the dark gray interior panels and dash. Nothing has been dyed.

You can put it in any car if you can make it fit. There's been many random cars with one fitted to it, but no it's not designed to directly bolt into several cars. The rsx shifters are obviously designed specifically for the rsx and they just so happen to go into a few other chassis pretty easily. The no cut shifters are designed for just a few k swap chassis. Anything outside of that is a custom installation.

Now that you have the front Lip and the sideskirts, Why you dont put the SI rear Lip? to finish the look.

cobratoxic I fully understand you, but still, I simply won't add parts that weren't specifically meant for my car. There's no type R coupe, and my car is a 96-98 which means there was never an Si version with the rear lip for my coupe. There is one oem optional lip, but I'm not concerned with some particular look besides completing the aero additions I want on the car which include a spoon diffuser to go with the spoon front lip and a full sized splitter. Adding aero parts at the moment is not a concern of mine. I'd rather focus on finishing the engine setup the way I want it.

You're going to have a tough time finding one, these are the rare RHD oem navigation climate controls. I've only ever come across 3 of them in the past 10 years or so. I'm sure someone might have one for sell somewhere, but you don't find them very often.

If you're referring to the base plate, then no, the base plates are sold separately because the shifter can be installed with or without the base plate.

Probably not because it's extremely basic. Buy a harness and the instructions will show how to install with and without a harness bar.

You can make it work with cable driven transmissions. H series people do it all the time.

In this video it's a Spoon sports shift knob. I have a bunch of shift knobs.

I personally like the Hybrid Racing K swapped shifter. Ktuned to me feels too oem. Even on the closest settings it isnt close enough. I love the look of the Ktuned over the HR but function wise. I like HR more. Just my 2 cents. Everyones different

Jamal Allen I have the p1 limited version 2. I really like it. it's comfortable to me. only downside if I had to be picky is that it has a little bit of flex to it but much better than the original buddy club p1 seats or the first buddy club race spec seats.

+joe hicks to stop 2nd to 5th shifts and so you can apply as much pressure to the right as you want when you shift and you won't miss going into 3rd and 4th.

Jeremiah Sanchez I really like it. I had a buddy club race spec seat at first, and then this p1 limited version2. this one is very nice. more comfortable and lightweight. I'm very used to riding in a bucket seat, so I enjoy it. I daily the car with the buddy club bucket seat.

I ran the stock rsx shiftbox in my swap and that shit was straight GARBAGE. So much play between gears that it was just plain sloppy. I swapped in this race spec shifter and never looked back.
