I mean maybe. The thing is K’rrik is a pretty fragile deck all things considered. It’s pretty reliant on getting that turn 1/2 win because it doesn’t really have any tool to fight on the stack nor any late-game (or really mid-game) strats. Plus one or two K’rrik removals is really all it takes to loose all your steam so in a format practically defined by “blue and some other color(s)” and free counter spells, I’d argue it’s not great.

I was just thinking that

K'rrik is such a threat in the early game that it forces opponents to have answers. I may be a little bias, but if it can do that then it deserves to be noticed in the tables and equally respected.

i sense a severe lack of blue cards at this table

Ryan copying Abolisher was a nice savage move instead of choosing Dockside. Very nice video!

K'rikk on board and 1 open non-phyrexian mana. -- Most of our combos require at least 1 available actual mana.

My favorite part of this video was Shaun‘s win during game two. He had done nothing for the first couple turns and still won. Well done and congratulations.

Something as a quick note to the editors, when Mike had a dockside extortionist enter the battlefield around the 7:05 mark, when Ryan says “Treasures,” there’s an awkward cut where it interrupts the end of the word treasures. Otherwise, love this as always.

The player's timer skips ahead a few seconds when that happens for me. If you have yt premium it may be skipping the sponsor, though it usually says when it does that.

At no point during game 1 did i have any idea what line peter was going for because he was showing so many different potential lines at once.

It’s always fun to see someone go from skipping their first two turns to winning the game.

Turn 1 Game 3 was awesome but really, it’s all about infinite Dargo casts.

Whats crazy is that the K'rrik deck basically runs every card on EDHrec that is recommended for the deck. I'm using a different set of cards to get alt wins (like Ashnods alter + Mikaeus Unhallowed + walking ballista) just to keep things interesting. Definitely need to play with Dargo more.

Of course he is still good. He isn't as great when 90% of your LCS has mostly blue decks and they run 12 counter spells.

Game 1 was so fast Ryan didn't even bother talking about it before moving on to the next one 🙃

Dockside feels like even more of a problem than primeval titan at this point which is saying something.

I have a K'rrik deck, one of my most consistent turn 1 to 2 win rate. Life as a mana source, yes please! Sign me up!

Gahh I almost got my Krrik deck done I’m ordering the rest of the cards this week, I gotta get a LED and lake of the dead, also a chain of smog which isn’t much and professor onyx, I can’t wait to lose a bunch of life then die 😂

They are custom made. You can print your own at the Dragon Shield Sleeve Crafter available on their website.

If you see K'rrik, rogsi, or other hyper turbo decks, you mulligan for interaction. Its easy to win t1 when no one does anything to stop you.
