My dad was a farmer 78 years now … doing farming old school way …there is no money in it … he don’t even like to do drip irrigation.. I told him saving lot of time doing it .. even that he is not convinced.. he says he watch tv programmes on agriculture…no change … o did not believe in farming that don’t yield income … it is not charity …

ഉടായിപ്പ് ആവണമെന്നില്ല. പക്ഷേ ഇത്രയും മുതൽമുടക്ക് ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ലാഭകരമാവില്ല. പരിചരണത്തിനും മരുന്നടിക്കും വിളവെടുപ്പിനുമായി നല്ലൊരു ചിലവ് വരും. ഹൈറേഞ്ചിൽ പരമാവധി കിട്ടാവുന്ന വിളവാണ് ഈ പറയുന്നത്. അവിടെത്തന്നെ കാലാവസഥക്കനുസരിച്ച് വിളവിൽ വലിയ വ്യത്യാസ മുണ്ടാവും. ഈവർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞവർഷത്തെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് പകുതി വിളവേ ഉണ്ടാവൂ എന്നാണ് കർഷകർ പറയുന്നത്. കൂടാതെ ഹൈറേഞ്ചിൽ കിട്ടുന്നതിലും വളരെക്കുറഞ്ഞ വിളവേ മറ്റിടങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടിവൂ എന്നതും ഒരു വ്യാഴവട്ടത്തിനിടെ ഈ വർഷമാണ് കുരുമുളകിന് 400രൂപക്കു മേൽ വിലകിട്ടിയത് എന്നതും പരിഗണിക്കണം. ഏതായാലും പീറ്ററിൻറേത് നല്ലൊരു പരീക്ഷണമാണ്. വിജയം നേരുന്നു.

That means per plant expense is Rs 7500, very careful don't try larger area by seeing such vedios. We have tried 100 plants of peper thekkan, none of them grown, but we didn't follow what they explained here. I suggestion first try small area , if it is successful then try larger area. 8 years back we have planted 3000 plants in our 5 hectares as mixed crop model near Ellapeedika (Kannur Wayanad broder ) today hardly 200 plants survive. Another important point we won't get professional support by our agricultural department. And most of these deciesaes effects pepper spread very quickly, so we should have knowledgeable person to support us. In our case our krishibhavan told us use some pesticide to prevent virus infection we applied same. But plants dried one after another then we tested GKVK Bangalore , they asked to get plants sample then after investigation asked to get soil sample. They identified bacterial infection and suggested few pesticide by the time it is too late we lost 90% of our plant. So very careful especially if your planning to take loan and spend such huge amount.
