What do you guys think the Bears will do with Justin Fields? I don't know what Ryan Poles will do at the QB spot but it will be interesting. Chicago will have to pay Fields big money soon but they can avoid that by taking Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniels at the draft this year.

If we draft say Caleb it will cost us over 27 mil just for his signing bonus. Compare that to Fields if we pick up his 5th year and combine both years is 31 mil for both years. So 2yrs of Fields 31 mil Caleb 26Mil just to sign with Bears so is keeping Fields really that expensive

This is true, but he lacks pocket awareness and comfortablity, which is needed to be successful as an NFL qb. The bears and Justin have worked together this year to pound that subject and there’s a reason he’s been more hesitant to break the pocket this season. It’s not that the coaches don’t trust him, they still want him to be him and make plays, but they are developing his game and you can tell Justin has evolved and he looked 1000x better in the pocket Right now than he did week 1.

Out of all the QBs that came through Chicago, Fields has to be the most dissected of all of them. I mean....he didn't ask to be drafted by Chicago or be in the situation he's in. I like what he brings to the table, but everything is about his stats instead of getting the win. He can't do it by himself and football is a team sport, so dam if you do a dam if you don't when being a QB in Chicago.

Yeah because those teams don't hold the #1 pick like Chicago does. Therefore they are good candidates for a trade for Fields for, say, a top 40 pick.

(As a bears fan trying to be unbiased) Fields brings a special element to the game thats why his coaches teammates love him. Like how many qb's are there in the NFL that get talked about like there jesus by other opposing defenses! Although while I watch tape and the games I see him bail on the pocket sometimes. There has defintily been improvement from Justin as a passer. The bears front office has also praised him in moments leading me to be fully confident in Ryan Poles descion.

You can’t tell me this man hasn’t grown from previous years this year if he didn’t get hurt against the Vikings and missed four games we would be in the playoffs he was getting better and better every week Chicago has to run it back the bears will be a playoff team next year

@@JayStiles-kt2pm Eh, maybe in 2018, but people are also forgetting that the Bears would've probably won the super bowl that year, with Trubisky, if it wasn't for the double doink. And after that, the team was slowly dismantled. But anyways, just look at Mahomes this season. He has decent numbers, but nowhere near what he usually does, and it's because he has no weapons. My point is it doesn't matter who your QB is, if they don't have weapons they're going to struggle. Justin's one and only reliable target was Darnell Mooney, who is decent but would only be a #2 or #3 on other teams. People like Mahomes never had a defense that gave up 32 PPG over the course of 16 games, either. A team's success relies on more than just good QB play. You also mentioned Watson, and he had 4k+ passing years and 30+ TDs while finishing the season 4-12.

How can you look at this guy and say he can’t start in the nfl? That’s crazy. Get a coach that trusts him and will work with him and this video will be twice as long. Steeler fan here. I'm just checking him out to see what the Steelers might trade for. After further review, im not that impressed. He is a hell of an athlete and can make some plays with his feet. But most of his throws come frome outside the pocket and/ or after a broken play, which is taking longer than 3 seconds and that is a indication that he can't read and disect defenses fast enough . Maybe that is the bears offense, i really can't say. But i sure as heak don't want him.

what entices you about fields . Hes a great taly nut we can't win with him. 19 4th qtr turnovers in his career! How many game winning drives does he have! I want him to succeed but be realistic hea been a bust overall!

Sure hope Bears keep Fields! Draft MHJ, a TE2 and a starting Center. Then need at least 2 major pieces on defense with an Edge opposite Sweat and a FS to replace Jackson. This team was winning and leading into the 4th quarter in several games this year. With those new pieces Bears will easily be a 10 win team next year.

Develop him into what exactly? What they need is an OC that recognizes what he is doing best and designs an offense tailored to that. A better O-Line and one or two better route runners is about all that is needed.

-Jordan loves is no scrub do your research - 3/6 of those games were against top 3 defenses - Reading defense comes with time and experience, you learn on the job not in the film room - 60% improvement rating is not minimal Bears fans like to talk about wins and losses but Caleb Williams is 0-3 in bowl wins and 0-2 in conference championships
