I honestly don't think people would hate on him so much if Caleb Williams wasn't coming up in the draft. It's clear Justin would be great with more protection on the OL (specifically Center) and more offensive weapons. Are there some flaws to his game? Yes - but they can be remedied. What it comes down to is he worth the $40m+ the Bears would have to pay him, which would certainly hamper the Bears' ability to sign priority FA like Jaylen Johnson, etc.... I don't envy the decision Ryan Poles has to make in the coming months.

@@ragnarocking Picking up the 5th yr option Justin would make 6 mil in 2024, 11 mil in 2025 and then you could use the Franchise Tag in 26. You have time to figure out if he's the guy we think. This offseason should allow the Bears to give him the weapons and Oline help he needs as well as Shane Waldrons offense. If he balls out next season you'd be more than happy to extend him if not you'd have a ton of assets from trading back to go after the next big name QB coming out in 2025 or 2026.

He has ALL PHYSUICAL TOOLS. His processor is way to slow. His inability to quick release hurts most throwing concepts. He barely ever makes a throw with anticipation. Physically Fields is above everyone else. But when it comes to being a quarterback he is bottom of the 32. Also he sucks in 4th quarter. Lets not forget he averages a fumble a game.

@victors6786 Patrick Mahomes said in interviews that he was lucky he sat a year behind Alex Smith because he couldn't read NFL defenses. Reid coached him on how to process the field and he's now elite at it. Reading defenses can be coached, maybe Fields doesn't become elite like Mahomes at reading the defense but he can be good at it. JF does have all the physical tools, he's very accurate with the long ball. We have to be honest and say he hasn't had the best coaching and development and he got thrust into the starting job his rookie year, something Green Bay never do...that might've stunted his growth but JF is still young. I bet you if he goes elsewhere with a competent coaching staff, he'll be a top QB within a couple of years. If the Bears don't address their incompetence in developing QBs, it won't matter who they draft next.

People for get at one point around entering the middle part of the season, dude was like top 3 in passing Touchdowns like after the Broncos and Redskins game before his injury. I've noticed when he's is in the pocket on a passing play, I do a 1 Mississippi count and the plays where he starts running after being in the pocket, he literally has a 2-2.5 second count when the pocket is completely gone. He has no time for plays/routes to develop but the 3+ second pocket times that's where he makes big throws.

(But, but, but he won with the Chiefs) ANY COACH could possibly win the Chiefs… Are you aware that the Bears are historically known for failing & not developing Qbs!!!? I’m certain it didn’t just start when Fields was drafted… Hadn’t beat Gb since 2018 & hadn’t had a Qb to throw 4,000yds & 30tds but yea, place it all in Fields regarding being the worst 4th qtr QBs in the league… You know why Getsy was fired (out of both Poles & Ebs mouth) because he couldn’t develop the players & he lacked making 2nd half adjustments!!! Funny you don’t mention Fields being one of the best 1st half QBs, I wonder why he “sucked” so bad in the 4th… Almost certain it wasn’t because he just so happened to get bad all of a sudden… Grow up my guy & take note on what was REALLY going on instead of simply looking at numbers because they never tell the entire story!!!

On the second TD against Denver to Cole Kemet: Denver is a man-to-man goal line defense. Denver defends well in coverage. Moore, Mooney and Kemet are flowing to the bootleg side. Kemet and his defender are in the shallowest positions of the 3 receivers. The spacing begins to get tight and Kemets defender is forced to make a decision to attack the run or stay in coverage. A fourth Denver defender also recognizes JF is considering the run. I believe this defender is a spy. JF pulls both defenders in and throws to Kemet for the TD. The split second before JF throws the ball there are 3 receivers and 5 defenders for a total of 8 people in a tight space and he finds the one guy that is open throughout all the chaos. This is a special skill set. This is what a dual threat offers vs a pocket passer. There is no reason the Bears with the right coaching shouldn't have averaged 24 to 30 points per game. I wonder why Mooney's and EQ's production was down this past season. Some would say because DJ Moore was in the mix, but this should have given them more open opportunities. What I did notice is that EQ was not running very many hot routes and Mooney had a lot of drops. EQ is a big boy with speed, and I don't recall any fade routes being called to him which is the ideal play for a WR like EQ. Also, Fields and the O-line got off to a slow start the first 3 games. I have to believe it was the coaching. I expect the Bears to be a top offense in 2024. There is absolutely no reason not to be a top 5 offense. JF's talents creates more opportunities per play than the average passer. The OC needs to get out of the standard mindset of what a passer should be, and I believe this was the problem for the first half of the 2023 season and why Luke Getsy lost his job. The Bears should make a deep run in 2024.

Dude is going to break NFL records starting next season (his THIRD FULL SEASON) as a starting NFL Quarterback. These next five plus seasons are going to be exciting for Chicago and/or whatever team Justin Fields is Quarterbacking with legit weapons & a solid Offensive Line. (In my Mike Singletary voice) CAN'T WAIT!

@@Justsumguy461 Amazing how slow you folks are. Once Fields FINALLY has the tools (O-Line, play calling, weapons) that every Quarterback in the history of the NFL needed to be successful, Justin Fields will break even more records than the ones he broke during HIS FIRST FULL SEASON (last season) as a NFL Starting Quarterback. My goodness, you folks on the other side are literally brain dead

He was playing with subpar talent the 1st year. And he was amazing.! If poles gets rid of fields I may drop my bears card. His highlight video for his professional career is so much better than any of the draft prospects senior year is like night and day. ..

He will play free and won’t feel the need to put everything on himself . I really love him under the center ! Steelers can make something good out of him . We have the pieces in Offense and we have our Defense . I would pull the trigger
