90 days of 100 degree or more temps - hope you enjoy staying indoors and high utility bills 2) no plans to incorporate renewable energy projects into the growth 3) water restrictions every year - I hope you like dead grass - I Live in Leander 20 years, so I know these things

Property taxes in Leander are insane now
I have to look into the water issues. I think I've heard of that.
This is a good and honest review. I want Leander to be great, but right now, it's all just potential. I would still consider Leander more rural than a well-developed suburb. Generally speaking, we have to drive 15-20 minutes for decent food and to take care of all our errands (i.e. go to Home Depot, Target, Costco, etc). Also, if you love really good coffee roasters, well, it doesn't exist yet. Again, I love the potential, but it'll take 5-10 years before we start to see it.

Holding on to your property in Leander will be fruitful but you are right I tell my clients that Leander and some of the other surrounding areas is a long term play.
