Nothing beats good ol’ CHEST DAY! In the past we have experimented a lot with burn sets on many of the routines, but today we’re going to do things a bit differently. Instead of performing a burn set on the first set of each exercise, we are going to switch to performing 1 drop set on each working set. The goal here is to really blast your chest with volume while it is fatigued to maximize muscle fiber stimulation for GROWTH! I will be using my Iron Bull Strength Grips for a bit more muscle activation throughout my chest, arms and shoulders during my drop sets. Once finished you are going to perform some INTENSE abdominal exercises to help build those blocky abs and if you are up for it, you’re going to complete your workout with some advanced calisthenics training! Have at it Nation! #HTH #SHFAthlete

Good to see you're incorporating calisthenics. A lot of bodybuilders neglect these basic movements but they end up lacking balance, strength and coordination. I say this because I was there before starting calisthenics.

The best part of this video is when Scott alludes to lifters who don't finish their rep scheme, for example 7-8 reps. Lastly, I am so happy Herman pointed this out and he did get that 8th rep.

Hey Scott! Great video as usual. Funny enough I do exactly the same workout , only with barbell instead of dumbbells. You know what? After the drop set, would he go back to 105 for set number 2? or would you drop it down abit since you are more exhausted/tired? I try to keep the weight the same through all my sets when I'm doing drop sets. Lets be conservative and say you were doing like 70 pounds per side. If after the first set of 70 pounds then dropping to 35 for the drop set you can only do 60 pounds in the next set. I might try doing all the sets at like 65 pounds and see if you can build up to doing all the sets at 70.

Hey Scott, I've been hitting the gym pretty hard the past month for the first time in a few years and I have gotten out of shape. I have never been an avid gym goer, but I am trying to change that. I was curious how long it usually take to see some physical results. I have already noticed that I can lift more than I could when I first started going, but I'm not seeing much size change. Any advice?

No, I haven't adjusted my diet. I'm more just getting back into the gym and wondering when I can expect to see a little more muscle growth. I am pushing my weights up as I feel comfortable though, so maybe 5-10lbs per every week, sometimes every two weeks.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. Your diet is 90% of your results

I understand, and when I said I haven't changed my diet I meant I haven't changed it for lean bulking. I appreciate the feedback!

You might want to keep that back tighter ... when you were doing flat dumbbell bench press your shoulders were all over the place

actually a lot the exercises had your shoulders coming off the bench or moving all over the place during the movement ... really really bad for those shoulders

thefluffychewbacca let me see your physique. If youre as big as him, ill cut you some slack. But i didnt see any mistakes. He was just slipping down the bench. He knows what hes doing. So lay off noob.

He is focusing on keeping his shoulders retracted, props for him always making sure that each rep has the best quality to build that lean chest of his.

Daniel Aguirre if you just recently boosted your protein that high, this could be why you are having stinky farts. lol.. once your body is sued to digesting this amount, you will go back to normal :)
