Finally... FINALLY Ha Seong Kim is getting some recognition. I mean Padres fans already love him and acknowledge his skill, and a lot of baseball youtubers that actually know anything always show him flowers, which I always appreciate. But what bothered me was despite not just his talent, but his effort and commitment, and padres fans loving him.. he'd get NO attention from these "big" networks or stations. Feels good man... lol, thank you for putting a spotlight on him. What made me his fan was when he literally ran headfirst into the stands to make an incredible catch, sacrificing his body for the play and team, you can tell he not only loves baseball, he cares about his team. How many players can you say gets his name chanted EVERY at bat lol.

Out of 30 voters the idea that not one of them would consider Kim a top 10 player in the NL based on performance this year would be kinda wild, because he's been nearly a five tool player this year with absolutely elite defense.

We love him in SD. He has been the been consistent since day one this season, super versatile playing gold glove defense in 3 positions, and super clutch at the plate.

This guy reminds me of David Eckstein, but with better tools- great instincts, high baseball IQ, great intangibles. plays multiple positions with gold glove caliber defense. Hustles and plays hard every game. The true leader of the Padres

Great analysis. Kim's what you call the "heart" of a team. I'm a stats guy, but oddly enough, the more stats I get into, the more I am intrigued by the intangibles, like the hustle plays, the energy level, and how contagious they are to the rest of the team and the stadium. Kim embodies them both. Fan favorite.

He is friggin hitting over .400 on 0-2 counts and that is some crazy clutch shiet. And hit his first MLB GRAND SLAM on 0-2 count few days ago.

You guys are best in the biz in baseball analysis. You make me care about stuff I usually don't care about. Good job.

Again I really like him but people need to pump the breaks. He's still top 5 at his position but what holds him back from being the best is the mental mistakes he makes.

Awesome Kim, Hustle Kim, u name it~!! He was well-balanced ball player in KBO, but I didn't expect this much on offense categories in MLB. He's becoming an iconic player who grinds everyday.

Based on Ha-sung Kim's play in the KBO, I really didn't know he would play defense this well in MLB. He's getting a lot of offense, so he's a good player with great value for his salary.

It's really cool to see Korean players come over and have good careers. Kim is already 4th all time among Korean players in rWAR and he's only 27, he could go down as one of if not the best KBO-imported MLB players in history.

He deserves to be named to an award after the season as his contract status will be on top of the big name FAs when the time comes. Ha Seong Kim was struggling offensively when he first came to the MLB. Defense was always there. Now that he can finally catch the fastball hes him.

It's crazy that he came over from the KBO as this big home run hitter who wasn't great on defense but now through hard work he's one of the best defensive players in the big leagues.

He hits for a pretty good average. He hits for pretty good power. He walks at a pretty good rate. He does nothing elite specifically at the plate, but because he does everything pretty well, he's an elite hitter. Not to mention his amazing defense. This is pretty much a recipe to go under the radar in MLB

Oh you just now started noticing how much potential Kim had? Little late guys, could tell this when they signed him. Just needed time.

I propose that his swing adjustment stems from his relationship with Manny. The dude is playing with an all star team and is a sponge for knowledge. HSK is all heart!!!

This kid is finally feeling comfortable coming from KBO and it was just a matter of getting enough playing time and making all the necessary adjustments. I think he will continue to impressive the league and the Padres have something special with HSK!!
