I'm working on the same stuff Chris. I had to let go of my Blood family a Long time ago. However it took me decades to figure out I was still trying to "fix" those "Family relationships" with strangers that had sad stories that I could relate to. I've had all my property stolen by these friends I was trying to help, I've been kicked out of apartments with no place to go because they hadn't paid their half of the rent AND stole my half left in the rent envelope for the Landlord to pick up that day. I always kept trying to be the bigger person and let too much slide for far too long. I'm in the I can't care mode due to exhaustion and a heart attack. I'm hoping I can be something more friendly again someday. Fingers crossed.

the hardest thing I've learned is you can't help people who don't want to change. I'm 70+ and have lost my youngest brother to alcohol (liver failure) and lung cancer at 56 years old. I've learned you have 2 families the one you were born into and the second one you build friends that become closer than family. Also I've seen a legal family that is often unfair

I had a friend go through a similar issue, and it sucked, but he eventually got his house back, and life goes on.

I wouldn’t wish a divorce/breakup on my worst enemy and the legal system often makes it worse. You will rebuild, the hardest part is forgiving the person that did you wrong. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Obviously you guys are good friends and are supporting each other through this, which is such a blessing. I'm working on my communication, self love, and speaking my truth. Those are the big 3 for me in this stage of my life. I just dealt with a bunch of bs with my ex and getting them out of the house I've paid the rent and bills for solo for the ~year and a half they were here. We both had our problems and I just was done with it.

its one of those stories where I know there are good cops out there, but the few who gives cops a bad name, just gives all cops that reputation. I have that same situation with medical doctors. Ones who just simply do not care about their patients. This judge sounds like they fall into that same category. Was there any way to get a different and more fair unbiased judge?

I was wondering what happened to you! I miss your videos and man ... that sucks. I'm a legal transcriber and hear these types of cases often. You are absolutely correct about the 90/10 ratio of lies/truth. I also have some personal experience with this type of manipulation in my family, and turns out severe mental illness was involved on the part of the accuser, which we found out much, much later. It was a complete shitshow and went on for years, as well. Anyway, hang in there, Matt. I'm hope you will be able to soon put this stuff behind you. Looking forward to September!
