As a gardener I'm sure any gardenia there was likely 99% dead from living in the weeds. And I'm sure if you replace the plants they'll be buried under weeds again next year. Shes just a RUDE lady who is trying to use threats of a lawsuit to get money from you. I'm sure any judge will just laugh in her face and honestly SHE should be charged with harassing you and your family. That's Crazy!!!!

The judge should ask the lady; to clean a house lawn for free is a good thing, or not....if. she say yes, the judge should close the case.

I remember that video. You offered to replace the plant. They said the one on the other side was gone also and I didn’t see them go to that side. You offered to replace both plants. If a lawyer feels the case is easily winnable, they work on commission. They get a percentage of the settlement IF you win. Otherwise nothing.

Even if there were enough damages to make it worthwhile to sue, the next question would be does the person you're suing actually have the money to pay if you win? She's just threatening. The best she might do is win a bit in small claims court, but even that is doubtful.

You guys do great work but township I live in you wouldn’t have had to do a thing. One complaint and they would have had an inspector out there and she would have been given so many days to clean it up. If she didn’t comply when he came back to inspect again then the township would do the job and send her the bill. No ordinance’s here? 😲🏚. 👏👏🤘💯

​@@snakelite61doesn't matter how much the gardenia cost they could easily claim it had sentimental value (like a flower from dying parent, etc.) and a judge will take that into consideration for punitive damages.

It sounds like a scam, because of how she waited until completion. She was under threat from the city for violations, right? Usually how they proceed is to serve notice as they already had, then they fine you, then they'll send a crew out to mow and such (with NO concern for damage to decorative vegetation, they'll just remove EVERYTHING), then they'll bill you for that service - and you still have to pay the fines. Seems like maybe this happened to her in the past, and this time upon notice being served, she worked out a way to get the property mown for free, and is using the lawsuit to get money to pay her fines. Even IF she goes through with a lawsuit, good chance with evidence including this video, that they'd throw it out. I'd even suggest possibly countersuing for the scam and things like defamation or whatever could be pursued for trying to destroy part of his livelihood (I'm sure the KZread channel helps him make money).

Why waste time researching into any of that stuff?🤔 Any case would be mediated easily once the court is aware that the individual accepted the free offer, have them permission, and especially when he offered to replace the plants. The one thing he does need to keep an eye on is any bogus BBB complaints the individual may post if he is accredited with the service.

Not necessarily true. They only make money once a video reaches a certain amount of views which is usually a 100k views. Even then it’s not “a lot”. Most KZreadrs don’t even break even on time/materials spent

I think the property was green as fuck and not dead as he claims. I see majority of yard is green. He is mad he is being held liable for his own actions. For 4 days they were terrorized to afraid to confront. Than after hiding for 4 days she comes out and reasonably gets upset you fuck uo her plants

Yes but you never know someone’s state of mind. She could be depressed after loosing a loved one. That loved one may have been the one who tended to the lawn as well as the flowers. You can’t just go on to someone else’s property doing maintenance regardless of how well intended.

Al know that you are an angel from God. You have blessed so many with your love and kindness. Don’t let this pull you down. The light and love of God is shining through you. May God richly blessed you and your family.

The fact her yard looked this bad and was so unkept, tells you alot about the person. So you made a mistake but you immediately offered to fix it. And if this and other plants were so precious to her (and she had such sensitivities), she should have come out and assisted / kept an eye on things. She got alot of free work and should be grateful... she has issues. Big ones. If she sues then counter with an assault charge .

She should be sued by the county for not taking care of the property and causing a hazard

The fact that the town already cited her for allowing the grass so high would get her laughed out of court.

Her yard was so massively overgrown, if there was indeed a Gardenia there, you would have seen it. She is probably making a false statement about a "non-existent gardenia", so she can claim she is going to sue you to make money off of you. You and AP worked very hard and did a great job cleaning up her yard for free.

It's not like it was a full grown bush . It was hidden in the grass it wasn't that spectacular. Two different properties. The one that he cleans in this video with the notice has nothing to do with the woman.

I am a gardener, unless you dug out the roots it will grow next year and how could they see it through all the weeds and grass. The other thing, they said it was gone on other side too, when did she check it, she waited to complain when everything done. Very ungrateful people. Thank you for being the kind person you are, I find when you are kind, people think thats a weakness they can attack taking their frustrations from something else out on you. There are all kinds of nasty people out there and she is at the top of the list.

That’s EXACTLY how I saw it! If you have a plant you’re so PROUD of, you’d be showcasing it! All plants are weeds, unless you cultivate around them and establish a garden spot. As a Master Gardener, I would recommend she encourage the new growth on the existing roots….or just let it go , like you had been doing.

By general definition a weed is an invasive non-native species, or an undesirable native species that can out compete a cultivar.

The thing with lawsuits is that to fight a lawsuit a countersuit doesn't cost particularly much more to include in the response. Document the harassment and do exactly that... Defamation. Also make her prove there were gardenias there in the first place. I don't even think they can do that. She may has well said "My pile of diamonds is gone!" ... Just a load of bollocks!

I know. I’m a landscaper and agree he is 100% in the wrong. If you are informed not to remove a plant prior to service and remove it, that customer has every reason to be upset. People in these comments are uninformed and don’t understand simple customer courtesy and vigilance. I mean it’s not a hard instruction. Anytime we are on a site and the first the a customer brings up are certain plants. We automatically know that is the priority in that customers mind. Having that said you can do the best damn job anyone ever could have done, truth is if that fucking plant is damaged all that goes out the window in a second. She was saying awesome, probably very enthusiastic hard to tell since he blurred here face, up until she realized that the ONE thing she requested not to occurred happened. I mean how much air do these people have between their ears? Any professional knows this crew is in the wrong. I have had customers with literal jungles brother, some people like shit and only request we cut paths and walkways. Bottom line is when your servicing a home you abide by what the customer wants. That doesn’t apply to all trades but certainly doesn’t when you are cutting fucking grass. It’s not rocket science. Man can’t even tell a gardenia from a fucking weed. It’s obvious why he shoots for the low income neighborhoods and does it for free without permission. I wouldn’t hire this guy for jack shit.

That's what I was wondering too. The home owner waited until they were completely done then complained. When I have people doing my yard, I always point out the area that is my garden or special this or that spot prior to them being any yard work...so that it doesn't get damaged. This home owner didn't say one word until after their yard was completely done and looking beautiful.

You still did an amazing job on this yard. People are human, we make mistakes and have accidents. At least you offered to replace their gardenia plants and tried to make it right. They are bitter mean people who can’t forgive anyone because they believe everyone but them should be perfect and never make a mistake.if you lived near me, I would let yall do my lawn since you do such amazing work. I love my gardenias too but my lawns are overgrown due to me studying whilst living with a major illness that doesn't look like it's physically disabling but it is.

She likely did this on purpose. Raggedy poor woman trying to get money from good people. it's kinda the same reason why restaurants are told not to give leftover food to homeless people. Bc they will possibly say it made them sick and sue.

She's trying to get out of paying by her allegations. People like this do it all the time. She is taking her anger out on you even though it's the city she's angry about with the violation notice. God always rewards good people. You will see it in the end. Pursue it. You deserve it.

You are an amazing person who puts your heart into other of need.

The fact that your immediate reaction is “I can get you a new one”…… *”and plant it”* speaks volumes to how kind and reason able you are and how unreasonable and rude she was being… not even mentioning all of the free work and everything, even if she paid you $500 to do the $500 of work, and even if you *did* destroy two beautiful gardenias (which she *obviously* cared about a lot….🙄)…

Nah, she just felt entitled, and wanted to bring Al down; bc you know misery loves company.. It's obvious she didn't "care" about the gardenias or she wouldn't have let her yard get to such a state as to let the other plants literally choke/smother them. Besides gardenias can be a bit finicky, and are not the easiest plants to grow. Idk how they would have been able to survive in what looked to be, imo; the beginnings of a miniature jungle 😂

She’s upset about the gardenia she neglected for how long? She’s the one person in a million that would complain about you instead of being thankful for the blood, sweat and sweat tears you shed working on her yard and getting her out of trouble with the city. I’m so sorry Al, she has to be out of her mind though. Thousands of people know not only did she give you permission, you offered to replace her gardenias as well. And you did her jungle for free. I’d be willing to bet if a judge was allowed to…he’d laugh her out of the courtroom. This video had an awesome reveal as always, the property looked great!!

OMG how ungrateful is that person, it's a pity they didn't think more of all her garden to leave it in the state it was before the Garden Angels ( Al & Ap) came to rescue the garden. There is defo a reason they kicked up a fuss over 1 shrub maybe they thought they could make a quick Buck in Suing you. She seemed to have that planned, she faked the surprise then walked straight to where the plants were alleged to be, then immediately threw her toys out of the cot. Don’t worry mate you’ve got a minimum of 1.07 people behind you, and I’m sure any other normal person would be as well. Bless you and yours.

Did she have a gardenia plant? With her yard so overgrown, how did she walk over to the side to tell you about the plant in the first place? You offered to plant another plant. But still she rudely threatened you and disrespected you and your partner. She could have been thankful for the rest of the yard. However, all she did was walk around to the side to look for a plant she probably had not seen in years. If there had been a plant it probably died years ago from neglect.

Show video of her accepting service and the offer to replace gardenias due to mistake. Oh if you have some video of that spot, go frame by frame to see if there was a live plant there that was a gardenia.
