R.I.P Christopher Plummer, Charmian Carr, Heather Menzies and Eleanor Parker. I know that they were all with them in their hearts ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

This is one of the best movies I ever saw along with ten commandments. The cast did an excellent job. May the two cast members who are no longer alive continue to rest in peace.

What a precious moment for Julie Andrews to be reunited with her “children” (RIP Liesl & Louisa), singing the iconic “Do-Re-Mi” song. I love that they showed the beautiful infamous scene from the “Sound of Music” movie when everyone is so young, playing & singing on the magical hills. Some of the “children” look older than Julie or that Julie is always forever young at heart, spirit & body. She’s been a memorable part of everyone’s childhood. God bless Dame Julie Andrews! 💗🎵💛🎶💚🏔💜

1984 to 2023. I'm still in love ❤️ 😍 with THE SOUND OF MUSIC..

Still my absolute favorite of all time. From my original long play, to cassette, to cd. From videotape to dvd, 30th anniversary deluxe double DVD, to blue ray, to stream purchase, I’ve grown with Sound of Music, and Sound of music has grown with me. I absolutely adore you Madam Andrews.

This puts me in tears every time I watch it. Very bitter sweet .... Met Julie twice in my life and I will never forgot those moments :D :D

So happy to see her lifelong friend Carol Burnett sitting next to her too, another national treasure.

After all these years and dozens of viewings, I was again amazed when the film clip began to hear how absolutely beautiful Miss Andrews' voice was!

Nothing but happiness and Joy at seeing Julie Andrews honored with this award and to have the sing along... well, childhood came right back to me. Love that woman and all the music and joyfulness she has given our world.

Why do I have tears in my eyes watching this? 😍

I completely swept away by nostalgia.

This makes me want to watch this outstanding movie again. I remember begging my dad to take me and a friend to see this one evening. Loved it then. Love it more now.

It's quite emotional for me to see the "children" from The Sound of Music - as being said - are all old ladies and gentlemen now.

Tears rolling down my face, saw this movie when I was 7, so wonderful to see them singing together. What a wonderful legacy this movie, these people, Julie Andrews who has touched the hearts of millions for decades. Thank you.

A shame Charmian Carr, Heather Menzies and Christopher Plummer could not also be present to honour Miss Andrews, the Von Trapp clan seem incomplete without them! :(

@@RachaelLink Yes he did have a fall and hit his head. I heard against his wife’s car. I meant that if Covid hadn’t happened the show would’ve gone on and he would’ve been there. He didn’t have Covid.

I can't explain how much I dearly love this film, and these beautiful people. It's hard to accept they are not complete anymore. But what bittersweet joy it is to see them all again. Furthermore, the Sound of Music reminds me of my mother.

One of my all time favorite movies.. The Sound Of Music...I love Julie Andrews😊I had a big crush on Christopher Plummer at the time 😉

My only thought! To many of Julie’s peers have passed away. Oh! If only they had given this honor 10-15 years ago. Would have been a grand reunion.

This made me tear up....how special is this to have 5 of the 7 Von Trap kids (now older) show up for Dame Julie Andrews award night!!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️

I was tearing up, listening to this song, and seeing the Von Trapp actors grown older. I was eleven years' when I saw this movie three times in 1965. I memorized all the lyrics, and could sing along for many years, even to this day. Decades later, I worked at 20th Century Fox, and manufactured the DVD and Blu-ray discs. The connection with this movie lasted five decades. 3:10

Feeling very emotional seeing the children and Maria again. I watched the movie as a ver young girl with my family and I could relate to the children because I'm in my 60's now. Thank you for the music and joy you brought to our lives, Sound of Music cast and crew.

So sad 2 kids are missing this great event...Rest in peace kids in heaven.

By total happenstance & good fortune, I was present the last time the "children" appeared in person together. It was at the "SOM Sing-along" at the Hollywood Bowl. Charmian Carr passed away the following year. I believe Nicholas Hammond is/was living in Australia, and had traveled to Los Angeles for that special evening. This clip brings back that memorable night.

I watched this movie when i was in highschool. I didnt knew 3:10 why i felt so sad when the movie was intertaining! When i got married to a widow with 3 children just then i understand and relate my life with julie as the charcter in this unforgettable movie.

What leaves us reminds of what was wonderfully a pleasure and joy, we can not bring back to have one more time. Congratulation, Ms. Andrew's. With much love and appreciation, thank you, too!

Julie Andrews' singing voice is adored by people of all ages around the world. I play The Sound of Music movie soundtrack to kindergarteners in a non-English speaking country and they respond to it immediately and love it.
