I love this. Funny enough, Julie Andrews looks almost younger than some of the kids she acted/sang with. ♥

That’s what my sister said like literally two seconds ago!!
Dame Julie Andrews probably loved that so much, and to be reunited with some of her Sound Of Music co-stars at this gathering was probably brought her so much joy. I’m sure Chairman and Heather were smiling down on Julie and the others, or they were there in spirit singing along. Christopher was likely smiling too. RIP Christopher Plummer, Chairman Carr & Heather Menzies-Urich.

Lol Plummer was probably rolling his eyes. He came around some in his later years, but while filming he thought the movie was soooo sappy and saccharine sweet. He referred to it as "The Sound of Mucous!" Luckily, he did have some more positive things to say about the movie when he was older.

The sound of music changed my life. I was battling with depression and I was suicidal for years until I heard this film, it made me happy. So happy that I went to Salzburg, Austria and visited all film locations. I wish I could meet Julie Andrews before she dies. July 30, 2022 Edit: I actually met Julie Andrews in New York. ^_^

I definitely was checking the comments to confirm it was Carol Burnett as well! I mean, even at her age she still has her very definitive Carol Burnett look and I know they're friends but I wanted to make sure I wasn't wishful thinking it! :D I love seeing them together here and you can see at the end how thrilled Carol is for her!

This song still brings me chills. Loved everything Dame Andrews is in. Sound of Music is my favorite musical of all time!
I was born in 1992 and I’ve been watching the sound of music for twenty five years, My children are now watching it. Julie Andrew’s is an absolute treasure and so is the sound of music. I could also immediately tell who friedrich was, all these years later…from the moment he blew the kiss/little kid hand gesture to Julie walking towards her! She will always be his Maria ❤️

I learned the lyrics to that Do-Re-Mi because when I was a kid the ice cream truck would always come thru our neighborhood playing that song. So I associate it with happy, carefree times and ice cream.😊🍦 Though I did watch many of those kid movies when they would air on TV, somehow I didn't watch Sound of Music in its entirety until I was an adult. I was more a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang kid.
Who knew the children would get so old!
I love how even 60 years later, they're still referred as "the children" or "the kids". Even Kym Karath would probably be known as the little one even when she's 80! 😂❤
What a great way to honor Julie since she isn't able to sing anymore.

Some songs you absolutely never get tired of hearing...this is one of them. So special.
All of them look so good after all these years. Seeing Nicholas Hammond again brings back great childhood memories for me of him as Spiderman..
A movie and a memory to treasure.
I'm not crying you're crying.......I grew up doing theater and have been on the stage since the age of 5yrs old and I may only be 28 but The Sound of Music will always be one that is dear to me for so many reasons. That is one of my favorite songs from the musical next to Sound of Music.
You beautiful human being. The world misses you
I Believe that I have seen The Sound of Music a million times. Julie Andrews is the Best and second to none, love, love, love her.
I'm not crying, you're crying. Dame Julie Andrews did! She is a WONDERFUL person. I got to ask her questions about her involvement in UNICEF and UNIFEM on December 3, 2007.
Nostalgia at its finest. A movie I never get tired of watching.
That’s amazing that they got the actor’s together.
Man I have goosebumps in this song. Hope that the patrents help the next generation to watch this. Classics are soo good
I love how much these children love her still 💖💖💖💖💖
Great tribute. Some of the kids look older than Julie. She outlived two of them. She’s amazing. I’ll never forget going to see the movie when it first came out in 1965. We were visiting Dallas and the chief of police who was a good friend of my dad drove us to the theater in his squad car about 90 mph. Scared us half to death. My mother was so mad. Two years earlier he had been the press liaison when JFK was assassinated.
I hope Julie Andrews reads this... I think I was about five years old when I first saw "The Sound of Music." I was entranced, and my parents went out and bought me a small "record player," (my, how times have changed...), and they bought me the soundtrack album (remember those?) and I played it over and over in my room. Eventually the album was completely worn out, and they bought me another one. I remember fifteen or twenty years ago when they released a restored version of the movie into select theaters. It was magic!~

Well, at last I find kindred spirit. My elder siblings say I made them put the movie on repeat all day😂😂 when I was a toddler. And now, at almost 40, I choked and cried at Ms. Erivo's rendition of Edelweiss. Guess I always just knew this movie was special and would remain so.
Idk why this made me cry so much, time flies so fast that it really scares me that one day i'll be nonexistent and no one would even remember me😭😭😭
Julie Andrews was, and will always be, a class act
You watch these movies (what 40/50 years ago) and you don't realize the impact they have on you, on your spirit. Simply charming recounting of a time past.
That was so sweet.

I don't think she was surprised, but it's wonderful to see. This was my mother's favourite film, it brings back such happy memories of watching it with her.
When Julie sang in The Princess Diaries (for the first time since her throat surgery) I have to admit I got a huge lump in my throat. This had a similar effect.
This made me cry. That is so sweet.
I never get tired of watching this clip and the movie. I know that this was a beautiful surprise for Dame Julie Andrews. The crowd stopped singing when they came out and the camera man was right on point.
I just went back to my childhood. That was awesome. I got to play a nun in the play when I lived in NY 🤣
Dame Julie Andrews is truly a world treasure. I have never seen her in a bad movie. I love this movie so much! It’s the perfect movie for everyone to watch and enjoy. I loved her and “Victor/Victoria!” The songs and choreography were fantastic!
Wow the children! God Bless all of them!
The Sound of Music was my father's favorite Julie Andrews' movie; he passed in April 2017 and hearing the music still makes me cry. He was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with my fellow comrades in arms. ❤
not me crying on my lunch break. this was and is still one of my favorite movies of all time! Ever since I was a kid :)
Even though I was born in 2001, this movie has always been one of my young childhood movies that I would watch on my VCR. Very nostalgic, glad to see them doing good.
This movie was playing in a theater that my aunt took me to in NYC. It was so thrilling to be in a thester in the city! Always loved this show!
And wasn't it great that they still remember the words after nearly 60 years 😁
Oh how touching. One of the first movies I saw at my hometown theatre of no more. What a touching reunion possibly from all alive at the time. She's still like a mother to them.

About 20 years ago I was working in the restaurant of a resort in Carmel, California. That evening I was assigned the private dining room with a party of about 18. They were a very charming and polite group, and I was really enjoying them. There was woman there who caught my eye ... I could not stop sneaking glances at her because she was so lovely and so familiar. Apparently, I was not all that discreet because one of the guests whispered in my ear, "do you recognize her?" When I shook my head, she declared "that is Liesl!" I almost swooned! I have met a plethora of stars over the years, but I almost wept at meeting Charmain! Never will I forget.
What a wonderful surprise for her. Julie Andrews always had the most beautiful and distinctive voice. TSOM and Mary Poppins were totally carried by her.
I'm so glad this popped up. For some reason it made me so emotional, I'm literally crying.
Is that Carol Burnett sitting next to Dame Julie? I know they are great friends.
My Mother took us to see the movie in 1965 it’s still one of our a favorite movies and a wonderful memory
Was the first song i learn how to read and play at the piano as a child
Of all the actresses that I remember as a kid, Ms. Andrews was, is and will always be the classiest and most beautiful to me.
Ok why am I crying? This is so beautiful!
My favorite musical of all time. As a kid i would repeatedly watch this movie over our video player (betamax)
Best film ever in my life when I was age 8. Dnt know the words (hearing problem) but apart of making movie was Soo enjoyable every second 💖
Seeing (and kind of hearing) her sing makes me very emotional 🥹
That was so sweet. ❤❤❤❤
How blessed are we that Julie Andrews was part of our life
Did I cry watching this? Yes
Too much wholesome, my tear ducts can’t take it!
This made me cry it reminds me of when Maria returns to the children in the film. Which is my favourite part of the film.
This clip took me back to that glorious time in 1965 seeing THE SOUND OF MUSIC for the very first time in New York City. (I wanted to go to it more than go to the second day of the New York World's Fair.) I am so happy to see that the people in the movie remember and respect the eternal magic they made so many years ago.
Julie Andrews has led the most polite, beautiful, and sophisticated life.
I think I've watched this clip 20💓💓💓 times, I've clicked on loop 😑. Pure magic pure love, I don't have words I can only cry 😭😭😭 we won't ever have musicals like TSOM. It's 19.03h here so I have to cook my dinner or I would continue to watch it, OK I'll watch it again after dinner 😭😭💓💓💓💓💓💓
