Episode 3 - Mount Cooke to Mount Wells
After a year of planning, in September 2022, we embarked on a north-to-south end-to-end on the 1000-plus kilometre Bibbulmun Track. It was a journey that presented its challenges, both physical and mental. This series showcases the beauty of the south-west of Western Australia and what it’s like to undertake a long distance through-hike through such spectacularly varied terrain.
This episode features Jude and Glenn scale Mount Cooke, the highest point along the Darling Range and the only campsite on the track that doesn’t contain a three-sided hut when they stay in the old fire observer’s cottage atop Mount Wells.

The south-west of the state is one of the world’s hotspots for them. Walking the Bib in spring is an extravaganza of colour.

The abundance and variety is something to behold Justin. The uniqueness of things like the tingle trees around Walpole help make the walk.
G'day Glen. I have scoliosis and i take ostiopanadol 500mlg very strong and very little side effeicts. You can only get it at an chemist and no prescription needed. I all so take electrlyte tablets, dissolve in water aroud every 3 hours. I find that keeps me hydrated and my minaurle levels up. Later in the year i will be hiking after i get all my gear together. So you may see me on the trail later in the year. Gerard.

Thanks Mark, appreciate it. I wore Salomon X Ultra 4 GTX Mid Hiking Boots … I found them incredibly comfortable. Did not have one blister or hot spot the entire hike.
