    I feel like I've been waiting so long for someone to really dive into RC racing so I'm really glad to see you start this channel JQ! I'd like to see some more info on all-around tuning but mainly tire and suspension tuning. Some racing tips and tricks and techniques would be super cool too. I hope your channel grows quick and I can't wait to see what you produce.

    A lot of RC channels got same problem, that's the video way too long. People like to see some cool pictures, but video is a highly inefficient way to get the message that you needed, espetially the interview kind of videos. We took half an hour wathcing people talking to each other, but their key points might be explained in just 30 seconds. So, try to short your video to about 10 mins, choose a topic, expain it, make a conclusion, that's it. By the way, I'm the guy who had a beer with you in Xiamen, China, if your remember. Good luck with your KZreadr career.

  • @invisiblespeedrc

    @invisiblespeedrc

    Cheers! I don't like short videos where a point is made in 30 seconds, when it is a complicated topic that you actually need to explain in 10 minutes. Yes you CAN explain it short, but then the viewer just has to remember it, not UNDERSTAND it. I want to explain in a way where the viewer can learn to understand it.

    Great channel, JQ. Interesting take on some of the channels. I know your focus is racing, and I think the channel that took the best stab at it was Jason Snyder. He had the experience, and insight to many of the manufacturers and personalities for all of the brands. Ryan Harris is a close second, but he only deals with his current sponsors. Unfortunately with “racing”, it’s a niche of a niche of a niche of our hobby. The largest channels (you said you want to be a star) has to cover the 90% of the buyers which is RTR’s and big genres like crawling/no prey drag. Good luck, buddy. I’ll be watching, but I’m a YT freak.

    Thank you. I thought it was obvious I was being sarcastic :-) I think niche within a niche is enough niches. I have the skill set to be able to make videos for the 3rd layer of the niche, the people who take their racing more seriously, and care about car setup, driving and racing. That's what I like to do. While I acknowledge how important supporting beginners is, basically everyone else is doing that in some way. What I am doing I haven't seen anyone else do.

    One video that helped me a lot was your explanation of setup chances you made during the DNC race and why you made those changes and how they affected the car around the track. I used those concepts on a track I was having a difficulty with and it made a big difference. More videos like that would be nice. As for nitro tuning videos, I use to run nitro and would like to again, I always had a hard time with tuning, and especially finding leaks, that made it hard to keep the tune. When i would watch the tuning videos they helped understand the concepts but I still had a hard time hearing the tune myself when I did it, maybe a more detailed approach on how it feels when you make the changes. Thank you, I look forward to watching the videos

    "That looks like something from the 70's!" Hilarious! Well, I think all the vehicles on that channel are knock-offs and very bad quality straight from Asia. Anyway, this video was great, JQ. I've watched most of these other videos myself, so it was interesting going through some of them with you and hearing your comments. Out of all those, I wish there was more content from Cradock. Drake is good because his videos are short and to the point--some of them my favorites out of the bunch--but that's not a good model to follow. But one thing he does do well, however: responds to comments; seems that he's out there to help his fans/viewers. The truth is, however, that there are so many videos out there with so many ideas and methods. The only thing to do is glean a little off each one in order to learn. It's like On-the-Job Training from a large group of people that don't want to tell you everything! Just how you thought Cradock was giving wrong info (i.e., double idle), I'd like the JQ channel to set shit straight. It may bring disagreement in the comments, but so be it. Because while I like that Cradock tuning video, I had no idea it was wrong! So far, I have watched several of your videos, and all have been great thus far, so keep up the good work.

    Great idea! Be clear as much as possible adding schemas , diagrams, pictures, renders of what you’re talking about.. go deeper in details concernig effects of different setup.. you know what? I think there is something really missing out there... everyone create its own vlog explaining how to tune a single part of the car ( how suspension works , how diff works , how roll bar works ... ) but what is missing is the entire picture.. before changing something on your car you should have a base setup or you should have a neutral car.. a common starting point.. after that you can analize which is the problem ( the car is slow in the corners.. i cannot accelerate otherwise the back turns itselfs and you are died.. or something like that.. ). From this , applying modifications , one by one, explain the different expected result.. and not only how to prepare how to build or rebuild a part.. so JQ, we expect this from you.. an rc teacher that gives you hints on how to work with your car or point to stay focused if you find a common problem.. everyone wanna be fast on the track.. give us the opportunity to have a good prepared car.. after that everything depends by your own thumbs ! Thanks for your help on this! Ciao

    Hi JQ, since I stopped racing after 30+ years some things are still bugging me. Like is aero dynamic stuff work on buggy race cars they do on 1:1 scale cars? How much is between the ears? I mean do wings really work? Do different shaped bodies (cab foward/back wards) really change the driveability of the car. Enjoy life to the max. Paco Raap

    If there’s more air for the engine to breathe, add fuel. That’s it. Temps droppedAdd fuel. Altitude dropped? Add fuel. Pretty simple once you know what to look for. Get yourself a weather station and it’ll be cake from here on out
