Ingredients
Jowar / Sorghum Flour - 200 Grams
Arrowroot Flour / Tapioca Starch / Potato Starch - 60 Grams
Water - 1½ Cups + (50-70 ml extra to adjust the consistency depending on the flour)
Sugar - ½ Tablespoon
Yeast - 1.5 Teaspoon
Psyllium Husk - 15 grams
Salt - 1 Teaspoons
Olive Oil - 2.5 Tablespoons
Bread Tin Size - 20*10 cm

ज्वार का आटा - 200 ग्राम
अरारोट का आटा / टैपोइका स्टार्च / आलू स्टार्च - 60 ग्राम
पानी - 1½ कप + (आटे के आधार पर स्थिरता को समायोजित करने के लिए 50-70 मिलीलीटर अतिरिक्त)
चीनी - ½ बड़ा चम्मच
ख़मीर - 1.5 छोटा चम्मच
साइलियम भूसी - 15 ग्राम
नमक - 1 छोटा चम्मच
जैतून का तेल - 2.5 बड़े चम्मच

Thanks for sharing dear. I just made and 🍞turn out so well.. I dint have starch so added powdered flax seed so looks bit different from yours but it's really amazing. I skipped sesame seeds as well bcos of hot climate here. Thanks for all your steps explained so well specially to wrap in wet muslin cloth n not to cut when hot.

Thank you 😊 🙏... regarding the lining of the tin, apply Melted Butter inside the tin liberally, covering all coeners. Then take two long rectangle parchment paper and put it inside so that one paper covers the bottom and two opposite sides. The other prchment paper covers the bottom and the other two sides . 😊 I hope this helps !
I tried this recipe and it turned out so so good. It's my fav now for dinner. Just wanted to know if we can follow same recipe with same measurements and replace jowar with ragi flour ?

Hi Kajal . I have not tried baking it in a cooker . However you may try baking it by removing the whistle and rubber of the lid , and then preheating it with salt in bottom and put the baking pan on a stand . Try it and let me know how it turned out !!! 😊
Can we use corn flour for binding incase other binders are not available??

Hello Kanika, thanks for sharing this recipe, i tried it yesterday but i think i added more water. The jowar was looking too dry, after baking it was more moist than expected. What do you think i did wrong? The extra water?

Hi ! Thank you for trying ! Yes, it looks you added little extra water. Try it with less water next time , or you may increase your baking time more ! However , for this time , if its not extremely wet after baking you make toast the bread and have it !! 😊

Use Instant Yeast for better results. Currently I am using TWF flour yeast by the name of Haute Teinte Yeast. You may find my recommendations in the amazon shop link www.amazon.in/shop/bakesbykanika

@@recipesbykanika one small suggestion! Soaking seeds for 4-6 hours and then adding them to the dough mix will prevent the bread from drying out

Thats true , but for sesame seeds soaking is not required 😊 These don't dry out the bread 😊

नमस्ते कनिका जी , my husband is diabetic , i don't want to use अरारोट या potato starch , क्या इसका कोई alternative है ? मतलब bread उतना ही soft बनना चाहिए, यदि मे स्टार्च use ना करू , ईसबगोल binding के लिए डाल दूंगी , तो चलेगा क्या ? thanks , pl give your expert opinion .

Millet Bread Tastes best the day it is baked and can be stored in an airtight container for 2 days . Warm it before using it . 😊
I baked via this recipe. the bread batter rose first but in oven it shrinked. The bread was very heavy and doughy. What went wrong?

Hi Saloni ! Please check if you did not over proofed your dough ! The dough should be just double in size or less before baking . Also , see if your water content was not more .
Hi I tried this bread today following the recipe step by step. I used tapioca flour. The bread didn’t bake well. Even after 1 hour the bread was wet inside. What went wrong

I am really Sorry to hear this. You may see the following - Please check if the Bread Batter was not too wet. Also, proof it properly before baking. Both Rods of the Oven should be ON and Preheat the oven before baking at 180 degrees Celsius. Check with a tooth prick before taking it out from the oven and Do not open the door of the oven while baking atleast before 40 Minutes. Do not cut the bread while its warm , let it cool down properly.
Can I use ragi instead of jowar? Will procedure remain same?

Araroot powder is very easily available in local grocery shops as it is widely used in India in variety of dishes. You will easily find it , else you may buy online. Arrowroot Powder , Tapioca Flour ( Sabudana Flour) or Potato Starch may be used.
Can we use varley flour instead of starch as I am diabetic
