The police are never great at defending themselves. In this discussion it is entirely about Wembley, what people don't realise is that on the day there was mass disorder in central London also. The police have finite resources and only a certain number of officers trained to deal with public order situations. This is down to the thousands of idiots who went to London on the day without tickets thinking they could watch the game on a screen or in a pub, they should have been told clearly not to go to London at all

What needs to be covered more is the culprits that enabled this, ie; bent stewards who took £500 bribes per head and our woke police force, that did nothing until it was too late, even though they knew there were a few thousand fans planning to get in without tickets, that's the whole point that Simon is making, not harping on round and round about individual sad stories of players families 😡 26 arrest during a riot by 4-5 thousand people, that's the real story here!

Simon was spot on as usual, what we need to do is get after the real causes of this and people responsible, not individual sob stories about players families, the real culprits that enabled these events are the stewards who took bribes & coppers who allowed ticketless fans onto Wembley way and then stood by until all hell broke lose and the entitled thugs who thought they were entitled to a seat anyway 😡

@@jackdominiak445 okay. If you read my response, I didn't say going on and putting England down is right. I said the individual wasn't working for the Times. Plus individual sob stories is easy to say when it doesn't affect us. However, I am sure Simon and everyone isn't jumping to conclusions without an investigation. I said the stories should be handed over for investigators to look into but to say people took bribes and police failed when we don't have the all facts is a bit much.

So he was around the fans 5 hours before the match and just happened to tell police somethings gonna kick off, almost as if he knew. Just like when United fans protested outside Woodward house, the press were there before anything happened.

The police were probably busy asking people why they are taking suspicious videos of the police and police stations

No Simon....it’s got to be talked about! OVER AND OVER AND OVER! Every time we hold any event there seems to be an issue. We can’t sweep this under the rug!

I think it was fortunate for the Police, security and stewards that it wasn't a 90k capacity Wembley for a Spurs Vs Arsenal cup final as with the same numbers and organisation it would of ended up a lot worse. Not much said about the corrupt stewards coining it at the turnstiles and the tens of thousands of ticket less fans that the Police failed to realise would attend from early afternoon

The police are to blame for it all. When I went to the Denmark game all the police done was stand on the top of the building above Sainsbury’s and were just filming everyone rather than policing the situation where people were belting cans off each other!
