My husband and I were a part of The Jesus Revolution. Here we are 50 years later seeing this brought back,the joy of my salvation. Well done!

It's so awesome that God timed this movie to come out right in the midst of our own Jesus revolution with Asbury + it spreading to other campuses!!

I wonder how it's going to be different this time. One big thing that's different in the landscape, that may or may not factor in but I kinda hope does, is that Protestants and Catholics are actually kind of talking to each other and seeing each other as Christians. My mom grew up in the Bible belt as a Catholic in the 70s and 80s and said that the dialogue/ecumenism we have now would have been unthinkable then. I don't imagine mass conversions one way or the other, but just as The Chosen has managed to cross that line, I wonder if a new revolution could do that too. And if it does, I wonder what that would look like.

@@StephanAinley I understand it’s a movie and it’s entertainment. Also I’m aware what I’m saying to most seems radical. A little leaven leaven’s the whole loaf. The small foxes spoils the vine, according to the Bible. I’m not pointing fingers but was making a statement out of Love. Ask yourself. Would Jesus watch a movie with profanity. Ask yourself would the Holy Spirit take part and enjoy content with curse words ( profanity) and using the Lord’s name in vain. Instead of responding immediately, pray and ask God if what I’m saying is right or wrong. Have a open mind.

I was Baptized in 1975 by Pastor Mike Macintosh in Mission Bay. Pastor Mike Macintosh was one of the ones who was saved in the beginning with Chuck and Lonnie.

I became a Christian in 1972, high school, my parents were very worried that I had become a "Jesus Freak". We'd say, "no", we are loved by Jesus! What a life changer. I am now 68 and a Lutheran Pastor. I love sharing the Gospel hoping for another wonderful revival.....God is on the Move. Thanks so much to you all for sharing your wondering art!

Over 50 years ago, I was part of this "revolution". It has always been a blessing in my life. 50 years is the Jubilee--forgiveness and renewal. It is time once again.

The baptism scene brought back memories of my baptism 33 years ago. Tears flowing!!

I just pray this film will reach billions for Jesus! I live in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, hope it will be shown here too!

The last two Chosen episodes were live streamed on the 5th and the 7th. On the 8th Asbury Church had a service that never ended. They're going to end that service on Wednesday which is the same day this movie comes out. I don't believe in coincidences. I think God is definitely moving. No human being arranged this timing.

I cried a lot whenever someone got baptized back in my childhood, after I had just been baptized myself. And when then-stepfather had gotten baptized, _you know_ I had the tears streaming down!

Our church just baptized 21 people and tears just stream continually when I see this- even though this is a movie scene it still made me cry!!! Yeshua is coming so soon PEOPLE MUST KNOW!!!!

I'm so happy to see these two productions side-by-side! Jesus Revolution is the movie that saved my marriage and brought my husband and I to Christ. The Chosen is a series that has transformed the Bible and Scripture for us both. Jonathan Roumie has impacted my life profoundly through his portrayal of both Jesus and Lonnie Frisbie and through his own faith. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all of you. I know I would not be walking with God without you 🙏☺️

What a wonderful actor to play Jesus! Your part in the chosen is so symbolic of what I feel Jesus was like!

I was blessed to have seen it on Sunday because someone wasn't able to go, so I was able to get their ticket as it was sold out. I cried watching it, and to hear that people were asking to be baptized for real during this film just shows how God was moving with his Holy Spirit so so beautiful! To God be all the Glory, and Honor, and Praise! I am so glad that you made this movie! Thank you! I can imagine how many people will be saved by watching it. :)

Seeing this after I saw the movie, I love the side by side look at Jonathan in both films. I really was baptized by Lonnie in Pirate's cove in the summer of 1969, when I was 18... Thanks, Jonathan, in Chosen you and the team have created real people from two dimensional words in the Bible, and played Lonnie out of a page in my life...truly a Jesus moment for me personally. ❤️ Thanks, my brothers.

I wanted to go see the feeding of the 5000 at the movies which I did and it was so worth it and to go see Jesus Revolution, which I am going this week with a girlfriend. Melanie, I will teach you some Aramaic. It's the slang of Hebrew. Yeshua of Nazareth spoke both. Schlama means peace. Malkuth means heaven. Hubba means love. Lchaim. Coincidentally, I was born March 11th in Bethlehem. Happy Birthday. The 2 fishes and 5 loaves multiplied when the basket was passed. God gave the food from thin air. Literally.

My husband and I went to see Jesus Revolution movie last night. It was beautiful and very well done. Everyone in the movie theater clapped at the end of the movie. Watching Jonathan in both the Chosen and the Jesus Revolution was amazing. He is a great actor. I pray that this generation can experience another Jesus Revolution, because we all need Him.

Thank you so much for this interview and for showing the water baptism scene. As I watched it, I was overcome with tears as God brought to my memory a dream he had once given me a few nights before I went to a friend's water baptism. In the dream, my friend's car crashed. When I ran over to make sure she was ok, she came out from underneath the car but then split into two versions of herself. One version was cast in a dark shadow, while the other version of her was wearing all white. They separated and walked in opposite directions. God helped me to understand that this is what happens to us at baptism. Our old sinful nature is separated from us and what remains is one who has been forgiven and washed cleaned of all sins. I began weeping uncontrollably as I remembered this dream while watching the baptism scene from Jesus Revolution. In a similar fashion, I wept uncontrollably while watching The Chosen and the scene where Jesus healed Mary Magdalene. You all are doing God's work, and changing lives, and helping people to find their Savior again or for the first time. Never stop what you're doing and I pray that God will forever provide for these sorts of projects to be made and that He will be in the midst of all the decisions that you all make. Because where the spirit of the Lord is, there is deliverance!!

Can't wait to see it! Thanks to all for both these great projects!

God is moving very powerfully and opening up the way for souls to be saved through the media, TV and movies. He is counteracting the evil that is being promoted through these mediums at this time too. There is a major revival happening all over the world. Our Lord is coming back soon! I went to Harvest, Greg Laurie's church in Riverside CA for many years when I lived there & also attended Chuck Smiths Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa CA a few times when Pastor Chuck was preaching. So blessed by those ministries, they helped me study the Bible in depth. Praise God for all this and I Love the Chosen & Jonathan Roumie. He portrays Jesus so beautifully!! GOD IS MOVING!! Jesus!! We LOVE Jesus!!!!! My BEST friend in all the world! That was my conversion, in one night I cried so hard because I knew I what I had done to MY best friend. The story was much more indepth and was a total of four days but I knew, saw my sin and the rest well....got a whole lot harder in life and I will always give God the Praise for all of it! God is so great... I was blessed to view Jesus Revolution last night. I just chit chatted with a lady sitting next to me for a bit. After the movie God wanted me to pray with her. I willingly asked her if I can pray for her about anything. She seemed surprised and then quickly said yes. She revealed her prayer request to me so I layed my hand on her shoulder and prayed over her, as we cried together. She then said now I know the reason why I was suppose to be here tonight. To GOD be ALL the glory!!!! May we always be sensitive and willing when we are led by God! 🙏✝️🕊🙌

I LOVE you guys are together talking about Jesus. I was saved thru the Calvary Chapel movement in February 1975 at age 24. I was baptized in Mission Bay, San Diego by Pastor Mike Macintosh Mike was part of movement under Pastor Chuck Smith. He branched off from Costa Mesa to Point Loma, and the fellowship was called Maranatha Chapel. It was all young people, and all newly saved believers. The Holy Spirit was so present and I can hardly explain how powerful the worship and singing was. I was forever changed.

My Parish was packed today for Ash Wednesday!!! You and all the faithful are making a difference. The joyful days are coming when our Parishes and Churches will be astounded by the many wanted to get baptized and saved.

Following this tv series The Chosen, and now just had watched this movie "Jesus Revolution" in the theater, I would say Jonathan Roumie did incredible!!!💖💖💖

I was also at Explo '72! The most amazing week in my entire life! 💖

I have heard Pastor Greg MANY times as we would go to Big Calvary to hear him and watch the many salvation decisions during the week, even though we had our own church for Sundays. I just was listening to Isaiah interview Pastor Greg And my husband immediately recognized his voice. We have seen him later at Harvest Crusades. He is an amazing, God anointed evangelist. Dallas, be thankful, not resentful (sounding) that Jonathan did this film, even if it was close to the filming start of S3. There will be much fruit from this and the more films like this the better. As Jonathan is right for the role of Jesus in The Chosen; he is also exactly the right person for this role.

I plan to see the movie this Friday with some friends :) ! Saw the trailer when I went to see the last two episodes of The Chosen. It looks so uplifting! So thankful for these films for so many to see.

I was at Explo 72 and it was an amazing experience. A friend and i went in the wrong gate one night and wound up meeting Billy Graham, Johnny Cash and Tom Landry at the Cotton Bowl. I was saved but i only began to realize what that really meant in Dallas at Explo. Remember Andre Crouch and the Disciples and Larry Norman. Singing there was amazing.

Saw the movie "JESUS REVOLUTIO"! What a great true story! Everybody needs to see this movie.

Jesus will never stop fighting for you.

We sure do need another Jesus Revolution in 2023.

The movie Jesus Revolution was personal for me because my salvation came thru that movement a couple of years later in 1975. With that said, The Chosen was on another level for me at this stage of my life, age 72. I have seen other movies about the life of Jesus, but none that pierced into my heart and soul like this did. I feel I now know Jesus as a real person.who is God. He has never seemed so real to me as He does after watching The Chosen. I always knew Jesus as my Savior and my God. Now I know Him as He was as a man who is God.

I just watched the movie this afternoon, after asking God several times to please not let it be disappointing. The theatre was full, which made me happy. AND I was very impressed. Everything about it was awesome; the movie should win awards for best this, best that; the actors did great. Gained more respect for Jonathan. Kelsey is a titan; he really won the Catholic audience and made us see how we Christians should be united. I don't think anybody could have played the role of Chuck Smith better than he did. I can't say enough about this movie; it has to be watched on the big screen, not on TV, so I hope everybody watched it now. Everything and everyone in it is superb!

Jonathan roumie as "Jesus" is so stuck in our heads .... Now i guess some of us are going to be super suprised when we meet the real Jesus in mid air...🤭😂 Fantastic actor ... Kudos !!

Just saw Jesus Revolution, it was also spectacular. I enjoyed it so much! Wow, Jonathan certainly is having a lot of what have to be life changing roles and nailing all of them.
