Another way to look at this is this: Rabbi Benjamin: "If You keep telling us the TRUTH about who You are and why You are here, we are going to have to deal with You according to the Law of Moses" Jesus: "I am the TRUTH" Jesus(Yeshua) did NOT lead anyone away from the Law of Moses because it is HE that wrote and gave the Law to Israel. He is the Living Torah of Elohim! Praise Yah and blessings to everyone! -Matthew 5:17-20

This is the part where The Chosen adds in a line that Jesus never said and wouldn't have said because it is actual blasphemy. Nazareth didn't condemn Jesus for blasphemy, they condemned him because his teaching said, if you, the chosen people, reject God's Messiah, God will bypass you and go to the gentiles. Not only did they mess up Jesus' message, The Chosen justified Nazareth if they had succeeded in executing Jesus.

Dallas Jenkins, the creator, writer, director and executive producer of “The Chosen” series, is an evangelical Christian and has done such a fantastic job in bringing the reality of the gospel to the world. The Chosen is so moving and realistic I feel like I am right there. Jonathan Roumie's portrayal of Jesus is the best of any Christian movie I have watched in my lifetime...and he is just how I imagine Jesus Christ to be. I so look forward to the day I will see my Lord and Savior face to face.

When they wanted to throw Him off the cliff and He said “Not today” and walked away, did you notice no one turned to look at Him? They were frozen in their position. I bet they did not even realize He walked away until He was gone.

Thank you for noticing this detail and making this comment!! I went back and watched again. I hadn't noticed this. No one turned around. I know it's a show, but this can affect our prayer life when we "place ourselves" in the readings. and then I cried, when He said, "this isn't going to happen, not today," knowing that it is, in fact, coming but, only so that He could complete His mission according to the prophets and God's timing. So interesting!

Just letting you know that this is not in the Bible. Dallas is letting Mormon teachings influence the dialogue in the series so he can use their set. It is very sad and upsetting. Specially coz this is a direct contradiction to the Bible where Jesus said he came to fulfill the law.

I like Todd Friel, and while he tried to clear the air about starting that brouhaha - look up Whaddo You Meme's and Ruslan's videos on the subject - I don't think he ever directly apologized for sowing the dissension; which is wrong..

I so love how they have portrayed the family dynamics if Jesus's family. His mother feeling hurt, them remembering past celebrations, the brothers having a difficult time with Jesus and his newly risen fame, him missing his earthly father. I also love the dynamics of their friendship and how Lazarus is portrayed. I like that character so much and I already know I am going to cry so much when he dies! Also, one last note: I am now definitely going to read that scripture again where this all happened to check if they got it right - and also to let Jesus's words speak to me directly again... This show is simply changing lives.

I love how Jesus tells Rafi and Aaron "not today" while they are frozen in fear or restrained by the Spirit. Either way no one is touching Jesus unless He allows it. Probably my favorite scene on this episode next to the one where the disciples are shocked that they had to go do ministry without Jesus. Their reactions were priceless 😂 Even my man Philip the evangelist was shook.

Rafi so shocked and sickened me to not to anything is one thing but after Jesus saved his family from being literally condemned socially, and ostracized he helps drag him to his supposed stoning?? I guess that is to show us how someone can turn so quickly and cruelly.

@@BrownEyedGirl331 Jesus wasn’t being dragged away to be stoned … they took Him to a high cliff outside town to throw Him over the edge. (Luke 4:29) Many people will turn quickly and cruelly later, at the end of His ministry … shouting “Hosanna!” and paying homage to Him as a king one day, then shouting “Crucify him!” just a few days later.

Jonathan Roumie does a fantastic job portraying Jesus. A very faithful follower, himself and you can see it in his portrayal.

I was so emotional the whole time.. I felt like my heart wanted to explode. So good. The actors are so good

"If you do not realize, that you need a year of the Lord's favor, then I cannot save you" Boom! Thanks Isaiah for sharing and I will repeat what already has been said, it's good to watch The Chosen together. Funny thing bout subtitles, I watch all movies with subtitles lol Not because of language barrier but sometimes I miss what was said or something like that. So ty for that too. One of my favorite episodes. Love how it shows Mary and Jesus having alone time in preparing their hearts for what is to come, and how hard it is going to be to go through it. I cried tears with them both. Jesus was still Mary's little boy, and her Son too. Broke my heart to see the sacrifice Jesus made for all of us so we could be saved. Thank you Jesus for saving me. My heart did go out to Mary too as her heart was broken to watch Jesus go through it all. Mary & Joseph fulfilled their calls.💔 Blessings everyone.

That lie comes from the devil. Jesus is her only son. God created her without the feeling of sexual temptation. After Joseph learned who Got Mary pregnant, he respected God,s wishes and never laid a sexual hand on her. This is why Mary Joseph and Jesus are called the Holy Family.

Beautiful insight into those times. Great intro into Lazarus and Jesus relationship.

This episode is my favorite of ALL time of any movie ever made. Season 1 Episode 1 is now my second favorite episode of the series, The Chosen.

This is the greatest Christian show I've ever seen, so anointed. The message of the gospel coming out so crystal clear. Thank you all of you 🙏

That’s what brought me to tears! Seeing Mary overwhelmed and scared when they dragged Jesus out of the synagogue. My heart felt like it was going to burst, just as a mother and being worried and concerned. I can’t imagine how she felt.

The 3rd episode is so special - and we learned a lot from it - the bridle for a mule, and the words of psalm 34? made it so much clearer - and the calm Jesus showed when he walked thru the people ! Thank you Angel; for making such a great story out from the Gospel ! We are an old Norwegian couple of 80; but we understand most of it - well we know it from the NT .

The actors in The Chosen are so awesome. Love it. It feels like I am in the episodes with them standing there watching it up close and being a part of it.....feels so real.

@@scottbinns318 That was my first thought when Joseph gave it to the Child Jesus. I also thought, as Joseph was talking, that maybe he had used it on the donkey that Mary rode to Bethlehem to give birth to Jesus.

I have never seen any of The Chosen episodes. I have seen the many testimonies of the positive impact on unbelievers. Loved it. Loved the emotional conflict of all the characters. It brings home the emotional pain Jesus went through with this sacrifice, and even the emotional conflict within the accusers, so as not to judge them. So true, the people who criticize Christian movies line up for hours to watch every unholy movie.

Le monde ignore que Noël et les anniversaires sont des fêtes sataniques. Saturn ou Satan, ce dieu était adoré le 25 Décembre, sa célébration était appelée "les saturnales". Le mois de Décembre et le plus sombre de l'année et ils priaient pour le retour du soleil. Ils célébraient ce qu'ils pensaient être le retour du soleil en ayant des orgies, faisant des sacrifices humains et d'animaux et mangeant du "blood pudding" (pudding de sang) qu'on appelle aujourd'hui "Christmas pudding" (pudding de Noel). De plus selon la légende, le Père Noël vient du Nord, le pays des Barbares, où il vit entouré d'elfes, ces créatures étranges, mi-anges, mi-démons, habituées à servir les dieux. La tradition impose que l'homme en rouge débarque furtivement à l'improviste, toujours en pleine nuit, comme un voleur pernicieux. Il n'a pas d'âge, on l'appelle "Père", il est omniscient et omnipotent, il vit éternellement et fait l'objet d'un véritable culte sur toute la planète. Les premières informations sûres dont on dispose sur la célébration des anniversaires datent de l’Egypte ancienne. Toutefois, on n’y fêtait que celui du pharaon, et ce non pas à la date à laquelle il était venu au monde, mais le jour de son couronnement. Selon la croyance de la population, c’est à cette date, en effet, que le pharaon devenait un dieu. Et cette «naissance» était plus importante que la terrestre. Les Grecs et les Romains pensaient que chaque personne était entouré d’un « Esprit protecteur » ou « Daimôn » qui veillait sur lui de sa naissance jusqu’à sa mort. Cet « Esprit » était en relation mystique avec le dieu dont l’anniversaire correspondait au jour de naissance de l’individu. On retrouve encore aujourd’hui l’héritage de cette croyance dans les notions d’Ange-Gardien ou de Saint-Patron. Les Grecs, précurseurs du gâteau d’anniversaire L’apparition du gâteau avec des bougies provient des Grecs qui avaient coutume de déposer des gâteaux ronds avec des bougies sur le Temple de la déesse Artémis. Ces bougies, symbolisant la lumière et le reflet terrestre de la déesse, étaient aussi l’occasion d’émettre un vœu en soufflant les bougies. Chrétiens levés vous contre les mensonges de ce monde. Faites le choix de suivre Dieu, refuser de suivre des traditions idolâtres et satanistes. Romains 12:2 ► Ne vous conformez pas au siècle présent, mais soyez transformés par le renouvellement de l'intelligence, afin que vous discerniez quelle est la volonté de Dieu, ce qui est bon, agréable et parfait

For people struggling with this, Season 1 episode 1 the first thing on the screen is a disclaimer on the screen. It clearly states that it’s not a replacement of the Bible. First and foremost Read your Bible then use the chosen to contextualize the Bible. The chosen is such a great tool to reach the masses so that they can read their Bible. The Bible is our truth not this show. Don’t dismiss it over a small legalistic issue, it’s a show, so use it to produce dialogue with others. It’s great way to introduce people to the truth we cling onto. May the God bless you.

This episode is so interesting. From the beginning to the end. Wow! More Grace to the Chosen film industry

Even though the last episode of this season is probably the best episode, the scene in the temple where Jesus speaks from Isaiah is SO powerful! Between Jesus standing up for Himself and Mary’s eagerness to hear Jesus say who He really is, makes my heart swell! ❤

The chosen has really touched my heart and brought to mind how merciful Jesus is, it took me back to when l excepted Him in my heart and filled my heart with the joy of His presence,❤

As much as I adore every movie and show about Jesus, I have to sit back and giggle. He knows everything at all time, so if he asks a question, he already knows the answer. His actions are for us so that we can understand Him, not for Him to understand us.
