I haven't agreed with Jon Stewart on all things, but I still admire him. He is a "good faith" actor and it is heartening to know that he found ways to work with conservatives on some things, while putting aside their differences on other issues. My friends who have worked in Washington have told me the same "wind up doll" stories, that it is the aides that do most of the work and the legislators are clueless on what is inside a bill half of the time. Too much lobbyist money floating around and we need to find a way to make sure the "moat" that he describes doesn't prevent the real work from getting done.

I did as well. That was a horrendous discussion. Jon asks a question then proceeds to shout and interrupt when being given an answer. I don't know how the other guy managed to be so calm. He was too calm honestly.

Maybe what you characterized as "shouting" is really just a demonstration of intolerance or expression of zero tolerance for disingenuous steam rolling. I say this because I watched that interview twice and I didn't hear any shouting. I'm actually pro second amendment though; I think everybody should have the right to bear nuclear arms. What? No? Ohh.. The founders didn't mean nuclear arms cause nuclear arms weren't even invented they weren't available? Hmm.. that must've been after they started making 30 round clips when the cotton gins were phased out.

@@TheJimmyfroShow what I characterized as shouting was a raised voice used to interrupt and be louder than who he asked the question to. He hardly let the man actually give a full answer to most of his questions. He was not receptive to discussing any reply brought forth. I am very pro 2A and think firearms should be unrestricted and the right not infringed upon. I cannot tell if the second half of your reply is sarcastic or genuine. Sarcasm is hard to pick up in text and, for me personally, it is hard in person as well😆.

This guy should run for president. Sorry John. You might hate it, but your too good. And it’s to all of our loss that you won’t do it!
Watching from Australia - Jon Stewart is just too smart, honest and compassionate to be in politics. Always get a good laugh when these conservative journalists and politicians think they can debate him, when it’s really just the equivalent of a 3 year old trying to fight Mike Tyson.
Damn John, I needed to hear that.
You should NOT have put a photo of John next to tucker c. John deserves his own page. tucker deserves a post - it.
Jon needs to pop the bubble he's in. CNN is circling the drain and they'll drag him down with them.

Maybe the legislative aides need to start running and let those who need to retire do so.
