    Texas boasts several wild cats: ocelot, margay, jaguar, jaguarundi, and bobcat--the only one they don't have is the lynx. As a related side, a Bobcat is technically a Lynx (Lynx Rufus) while the "Lynx" is Lynx Canadensis.

    It's a bobcat! Bobcats are one of the 4 species of "Lynx", and they are roughly the same size as other Lynxes. But Bobcats have smaller feet (like this one), more noticeable spot patters (like this one), and are generally more aggressive (like this one). animals.howstuffworks.com/mammals/bobcat-vs-lynx1.htm

  • @jimquantic

    @jimquantic

    +snowcap28 I think you are mistaken. The Lynx is in the northern territories, the bobcat more southern. The Lynx has heavier fur, and tufts on it's ears. It is said they are genetically very much alike, the big difference is that the Bobcat is more fierce--grew up in a tougher neighborhood. I do realize that somewhere, there is a line where Lynx in the southern most part of their north territory can meet Bobcats who are in the northern part of their southern territory--but I don't think this park is near that border land, if I understand where the was filmed.
