Ive heard coyotes are allergic to bullets

i moved to denver and coyotes tried to attack my jack russell chihuahua mix every day , every walk, every mtn bike ride, in town, in the mountains . it was a real issue . i moved out of denver back East where they arent protected and can be shot

I`m quite sure any wild animal can be shot if it is attacking you or a domestic animal?

The probability of it happening to a small child is low and if does happen that fault does not go to the cayote but the parents for not keeping close attention because it was only the cayotes territorial instinct

one thing that I did not hear is where was the mother dog? Both of those breeds that were supposed to be the lineage are large dogs. The mother dog would have been able to get to the coyote before the lady would have. That would have helped to deter the coyote.

A couple of Rottweilers, German Shepard, Dogo Argentino, Cane Corso, Presa Canario, or American Bulldogs. Either of the dogs i just mentioned especially 2 or more will protect your yard fiercely.

Get someone with a predator call with a gillie suite and a rifle and you got your self a solution for coyote

Coyote wearing a collar. Anyway, I would have struck that pest even after it dropped the puppy.

You need a coyote cull in your area. A humane one. Sharpshooters, not those cruel traps. When they're that bold and hungry, they'll die anyway. You can't take chances on your pets or little kids.

My dog was hit by a car

Pepper spray, especially bear spray, works real well. as does a stun gun.

American Not American't I don't think that in most these subdivision you can just go kablamo with a 12 gauge shotgun at a coyote....but can get away with discharge of a .177 caliber pellet gun

I USED TO HAVE STUPID DOGS JJUMP MY FENCE GOIN AFTER MY PUPPIES. AND THEY FOUND OUT THEYD HOPPED OVER THE ABSOLUTE WRONG FENCE.

Why would you keep them off a leash ?
