Pre USADA Jones was something special. But his performance against DC in the rematch was a thing of beauty( imo the best he's ever looked, the subtle distraction of DC's guard was so shrewd so he could land the head kick) . Sucks that he failed a drug test afterwards. Highest fight IQ in the game for sure.

He destroyed Anthony Smith, Gustafson (rematch),vera, osp,Ryan bader(both of look like huge ,heavyweight) who looked big, thicker than jones.Size is not his problem, fast strikers/counter punchers is his problem.I know that dc is fat ,but he's is very athletic and an excellent boxer with that size. @@zoarmhirr2964 getting hit in the head won’t end your career. Getting hit In the back of the head will and that’s why it’s illegal. Every move can end your career but certain moves can with ease. That’s why there’s no 12/6 elbows and rabbit punches bc of how deadly they can be. Your hyperextending ones knee. Which can destroy someone’s knee. It’d one thing to hurt someone which is the goal of the fight but if your looking to permanently injure them for the rest of their life. That’s not good Edit: grammer

Finger locks in MMA are banned because anyone can just grab your fingers and easily bend them backwards and break them all, and put you our of training for many months, the oblique kick should be treated similarly.

All these Jon Jones breakdowns are a fake deep analysis of the sport. It's a guy not playing by the rules beating guys who are playing by the rules, then people just say everyone is on steroids as if that's the only way Jon cheats, the dude can't seem to beat 3 guys in a row without landing an illegal strike or poke someone's eyes. Machida would've beat this dude if he didn't eye poke, then he wouldn't get favorable judging that comes with being one of UFC's only undefeated fighters so suddenly he'd lose to Gustafson and Rayes and maybe even Santos, plus a DQ loss to Lion Heart. Do you see how reffing could easily have a domino effect on one's career positively or negatively? Not to mention all these dudes he needs to cheat against to win are lightheavyweights which is the second worst male division in the UFC arguably. Take steroids out of the conversation he still isn't the GOAT. It's a question of GSP, Anderson Silva, DJ, or Cejudo.
