I just got back from Disney on Friday night. And sadly I think you hit the nail on the head - the value for dollar is just not there in general. I absolutely love going to Disney, but I think it might be time to cut back on my spending there and start to explore more of the world.

I know what you mean the nickel and diming of guests has just gotten too much.We ate at RAinforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, they charged $30 to park there and we were REALLY there just for lunch. The rental car lady argued with me and we were charged an extra $200 at the counter for stuff they said we had to have.The way the Disney tourist is now treated is like; "How much money can we get out of you while your here." It just changes the whole mood. Oh, and then now having to pay extra for seat assignments on the plane????? We had to use a different airline and I don't remember that before. These unexpected upcharges were just well, treating the Disney Guest like a cash cow instead of a person. And I know it wasn't just Disney, it was partly outside Disney too.

The first few nights of the event were rough. I am glad I did not go and can watch youtube and know whats good and bad! Loved the vlog tho. Brooke is awesome!

I attended night 3 and one night after that, fortunately Disney improved on most of the issues people had the first night. It's a great party. I paid twice to go with my own money and had an amazing time both nights.

I love your honest review. I've really gotten away from watching the Orlando based vloggers. I prefer watching vloggers who aren't in the parks on a daily basis and getting free press passes.

Another fabulous series!!! I especially loved more Coral and am living to see more vlogs with her...she has such a beautiful energy I'm addicted ❤

I'm sorry that woman was so rude to you, dear Jen. Personally I think you looked lovely and were all dressed up nicely for the holiday party. You ALWAYS put a lot of thought and effort into your outfits and never fail to look delightful. No doubt your own "costume" and wonderful, happy disposition helped add to the "show" for other guests, both in DHS and out. Keep being YOU - that's why we all love you!

I was there that night with my adult son. It was our arrival day at Disney and were tired from traveling. We sort of aimlessly wandered around and snacked when we found lines that weren’t too long. Missed the shows but caught the Latin music. We did get to ride Rise and Mickeys Train. Got the event shirt and took some cute pictures in front of the tree. I think we had a good enough time. We left about 11:30 as it started to rain plus we were tired. I don’t know if we will do it again unless they extend it and add a parade. I did think It was really pretty and festive with the music and the snow and the Christmas lights.

I'm glad you had a good time at Jollywood. I was so sad to see so many vloggers didn't have fun. We went last Wednesday and had a blast. My daughter dancing to the music and her excitement of seeing Jack made it 100 percent worth it. Also, I think they staffed more cause we had zero lines for food.

We were at the opening night…hello, party of 9 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰. I was so disappointed and frustrated with the whole event. I’ve heard it is better now…I’ll stick with Mickey’s Very Merry. As always I love your perspective and honesty.

Sara it may be worth reaching out to guest services. I’ve heard some who were there that first night have had some luck getting a refund.

@@JenLefforge I have emailed guest services already…we had a string of unfortunate events during our Yacht Club stay. They asked for details, which I’ve sent…but so far crickets 🦗. Luckily I’ve been at WDW for 5 days now and this trip has been superb! 💫

I love your honest reviews. It helps when making our decisions on what specialty tickets to buy.

They're SO MUCH money on top of an already expensive vacation so I try to give what I would want before forking over my hard earned cash! So I'm very glad you feel that way.

Couldn’t agree more. We were debating even before the first night of Jollywood if we’d want to do a second one later in the season, and honestly glad we didn’t. I hope it’ll continue to improve this year and be even better next year!

It wasn’t that I had a miserable time but honestly could have just gone to DHS on a normal night and had probably a better experience with the same lights on tower of terror, decorations and music in the park? The few special thing they had were NOT worth the price tag

So true! I remember fondly rolling my eyes at my mother, when she would worry she hadn’t done a good enough job making the holidays special when we were little. Now I (mostly fondly) roll my eyes at my younger self, as I get caught in the same worries! 😅

What a stinking rude woman to talk about the way someone looks & didn’t care if you heard her! So rude!!! I’m glad you didn’t let it bother you. Those kind of people don’t deserve a second thought about the unkind things they say. Glad you had a good night with friends! So fun.💜

Yeah it was rude. I wish I could say it’s the first time I’ve overheard something like that but it wasn’t and it won’t be the last. We straighten our crowns (or mouse ears;) and carry on!

I missed going to the Jollywood Nights party by one day. I'm kind of not sorry I missed it. I have not heard any of the bloggers who covered the event say that they would go again. I appreciate your honesty. I had been suffering from FOMO regarding the event. Thanks for sharing !

Honestly, I think you can have just as magical a night at DHS during the holidays during regular operating hours without the added expense of the party ticket!

@@JenLefforge The Tip Top Club would have been so much better if they put it inside ToT somehow. Like playing in the hotel lobby! Maybe next year the kinks will have worked out.

I’ve never been to any Disney events so I have nothing to compare this too.. but I can say for the majority of people $170 is a lot of money to spend on an event.

hi jen i have heard the same reviews about Hollywood nights it hasn´t had the acceptance disney was expecting the lines are very long for a very short time 🦙
