I love the film, I am obsessed with it. I wrote an essay on it. I found out that his laughing condition is a genuine, real-life condition - Pseudobulbar affect, and his laugh was actually based on someone who genuinely has Pseudobulbar affect. I love how they have portrayed the laughter as like painful, suffocating even. People say that laughter is the best medicine, but is it? When you're being suffocated by your own laughter, feeling like you can't breathe. Best film made I'd say.

Somewhere I heard "life is fundamentally about suffering", and I couldn't agree more. We humans are bound to become social, create bonds, make a family, and even if someone is extremely lucky to whom misery has never even dared to touch, death will occur to them certainly at some point, and misery will find a way. The only way misery can never find a way to a human is if the human is detached from every thing.. no wonder why they preach detachment in Buddhism
