I think Lady Gaga IS a fantastic choice. I never would’ve thought to cast her, but when I heard she was cast as Harley Quinn I said of course.

I predict Joker 2 will make a billion

the old joker movie got an r rating for strong bloody violence, language, disturbing behavior, and breif sexual images, compared to joker 2, this new one seems to be more upgraded with the nudity, violence, and language.

The difference, the big difference, between this movie and James Gunn’s movie The Suicide Squad is that when James’s movie came out, the box office attendance was still shakier from the pandemic.

If you're going to have the over the top violence you might as well as the nudity. Though it is funny that people are more far comfortable with violence than nudity.

I enjoy Joker (2019) one of my favorite movies of all time...& the sequel will be better, Lady Gaga will crush it as Harley Quinn.

I like that this movie is doing something unique. If this movie was made without the musical aspect so that it’s like Joker 1 it would loose that spark that the first movie made. It would just be Joker 1 but with Harley Quinn. With this musical angle it makes this movie unique in its own way and gives us a new twist so that if this movie does well and received well, then there will be a new spark that this film can give audiences and fans of the first one.

Or here's an obvious prediction since it said "brief full frontal" it could be a reference to his notebook from the first film when he was on the stage and couldn't control his laughter

How do we already have the rating for this when it doesn’t come out for another 6 months while there’s other movies coming within a few months and we still don’t know what the rating is?

Something tells me the full nudity warning means we’re gonna get something like a scene of Joker and Harley Quinn doing a slow dance with one of them being fully nude or something, because knowing how the first movie was it’s gotta be something that’s used in a demented way

Things would really be better if Pattinson was the DCU Batman and Phoenix was the DCU Joker. Cancel The Brave and The Bold, and have Matt Reeves, Todd Philips and James Gunn just WORK IT OUT.

I’m not surprised. It’s a fully mature rendering of the relationship between The Joker and Harley Quinn. I feel like this movie is going to be what we did not get with the movie Suicide Squad.

I am one of the many more that really liked the first one and, yes I'd hoped we'd expand on that universe. Having said that, I go from anger to disinterest as soon as I heard it'd be a musical!. 🤞 Who knows may be it'll make sense on its own but how will it link to the first one that wasn't a musical!?

Bathroom break! Also, the Hangover sequels weren’t exactly highly praised.

You bring in Lady Gaga and go for musical interpretation. Great idea. Why bring in a singer who has some acting chops and not take advantage of it? Lady Gaga appears like a fantastic choice. I think Gaga may make this a billion dollar hit.

The fact that it's a rated R "musical" is going to limit its box office audience. Disney musicals are the only movie "musicals" to be able to cross the billion dollar mark because families and children all "swarm" out to see then because of their rated "G" or "PG" rating whereas a rated "R" musical is going to have a much more limited audience.

I'm still super nervous about this movie because the first movie was definitely NOT a musical and it could come off as cringe with a hard tone shift

It’s because this movie is a musical and some fans are concerned that it’s. It gonna be as gruesome as the first.

DC did a great job casting Harley Quinn and the Justice League.

I’ve heard there is one scene in the last third of the movie that is incredibly disturbing and could turn a lot of people off and cross too many lines. I don’t know what that is…but I truly hope that it isn’t a violent r*pe scene ending in a murder of either Harley or The Joker. Because to see Harley go through that would be just too much for me and I wouldn’t be able to “root” for The Joker any more. Also if it is the other way around I would hate to see Joker die.

I think I’m more surprised that it’s rated R for SOME strong violence

@@Hknasw Yeah based on the rating I’m going to assume they’re gonna focus on the romance and toxic relationship between the two. I like to study film ratings and usually if a film has SOME in its rating it means there’s at least 2-4 scenes of violence. Whereas if it has BRIEF in its rating it’s usually 1-2 scenes and very brief at that.

This COULD BE A HUGE FLOP: The 15 SONGS IN IT COULD be TOO MUCH for SOME, They COULD WALK OUT of the Theatre!

I liked the first one upon first viewing. I expected misery, and I love unreliable narrators. But the more I thought back to separate what was real and not, the more I realized it was unpleasant to dwell on it too long. Aesthetically pleasing, but even upon rewatch didn’t leave me smiling. And don’t tell me it wasn’t aiming for a feel-good tone; I fully expected that going in. Still, it was a departure from DC’s schlock that we’d so gotten used to. It’s been confirmed that THAT final shot of the first movie is real, so was that going to far even in such a movie? Still, curious to see what this one has in store.

It’s not musical. They never confirmed that someone drop this shit after saw some cuts. It’s only have music but not musical they are not gone have convos w music probably same as the first one there’s some music in some scenes related to scene

I remember going to see Joker back in 2019 with a group of friends and I was expecting to absolutely hate the movie. I ended up loving it and it was one of my favorites of the year. I was really excited when they announced the sequel and cast lady gaga as Harley Quinn. I think she is going to be incredible in this. I am hoping that the musical elements are not overdone and this film keeps the same tone and vibe as the first film. I cannot wait to check out the teaser trailer tonight!

@nicolajohnson1887 you must be very passionate about hating musicals. When the new IT movie came out, I thought pennywise looked rubbish. Then I watched the movie. It was great. When the new joker movie came out I was annoyed on how he looked. Watched the movie then actually loved that take on joker. When the greatest showman came out I told myself I wouldn't watch it. Watched it then actually fell in love with it. You never know what this movie will be like. People just hate on it because that's in style now. Not trying to convince you to watch it. Just know it could actually be a good movie lol
