Oh my goodness, no kidding, especially when they were on Dance Moms. I'm pretty sure everyone from that show walked away with PTSD. I have ALWAYS found it utterly disgusting, pathetic and just plain WRONG the way these parents pusb their children into being their golden goose. Into creating the fame and fortune that they themselves were unable to attain. It's HORRID. Just watching "Dance Mom's" always grossed me out. How any parent could EVER exploit and use their children I will NEVER understand nor find it acceptable. The abuse they experience in so many ways and aspects in these types of spaces is terrifying. SHAME on every parent putting their children's actual NEEDS to way side while they make their parents money. Encourage them to follow their dreams and work hard. But education and real life should ALWAYS be first and main priorities for any parent. They utterly and completely stole her childhood away from her. I just gotta reiterate how much I find parents who handle their brand of "Parenting" like THIS. It is truly disgusting, disgraceful, pathetic and all around the perfect example of failure. Money isn't what is most important. Your child. Their mental and physical health as well as overall education and ability to just be a kid is SOOO important. To deny them that especially when it's so often in ordered to fullfil their own lost, wasted or unattainable dreams of their own. My 7 year old daughter loves her and it sucks i recently had to explain she is no longer a kid friendly artist. Upside My daughter as fallen farther away from that type of artists and music ext to the more Rock, metal and Country type stuff especially as well as just the music popular during my childhood. These types of parents should be better held accountable for actually keeping the money for their children and should be supporting their kids NOT their kids support them. Sure certain things make sense and are totally cool. But they always seem to completely use amd abuse spending on things that a parent should provide to begin with. Or worse, on things that have ZERO to do with the children and EVERYTHING to do with their own selfish wants and supposed "needs". Ugh sorry everyone!😅 End rant!!

Fun Fact: The song probably sounds okay because its the only part that ISN'T JoJo's creation! It's a really old song that was originally intended for Miley Cyrus but ultimately a demo was created with Brit Smith, and even though it was never released officially it's been uploaded to KZread. I think part of the reason it sounds meh is because JoJo tried to modernize it and it ended up sounding like generic pop we hear nowadays, but the song was written for a late 2000s/early 2010s beat. The Brit Smith version sounds good and the music video is way better (because it has no demonic goth rock and roll entity emerging from the water and random humping), JoJo just corrupted it lol

Yeah the edgy phase is not sustainable because it’s not who they are. It’s all just a dumb “statement” and attention grabbing gimmick. Or it’s something pushed by mental health/family issues.

I have a 3 year old girl who had been given some of those bows secondhand from an extended family member. She never really liked bows in her hair, so I donated them almost as soon as we got them. I'm thankful for that now 😂

Right? We can't let our kids out wearing stuff with her face on it now. I snuck my daughters doll of her out of her room. It's just embarrassing.

@earthstar7534 it is so hard to find respectful role models / characters for our babies now. Hopefully, your girl wasn't too attached to the doll or JoJo. I know it's hard to take something away because of people being gross but trust me, you're doing the right thing. I'm so glad my little one never cared for the bows, and it didn't phase her to get rid of them.
