A tribute to America's fallen SMU operators who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) oversees the Special Mission Units (SMU) of the U.S. Special Operations Command. These are elite special operations forces units that perform highly classified activities. So far, only five SMUs have been publicly disclosed:
1. U.S. Army's Delta Force, also known as Combat Assault Group (CAG) and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D)
2. U.S. Navy's Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), also known as SEAL Team 6
3. U.S.A.F. 24th Special Tactics Squadron (24th STS)
4. U.S. Army's Intelligence Support Activity (ISA)
5. U.S. Army's Regimental Reconnaissance Company (RRC)

Loosing a fellow soldier is the same as losing a family member. Recently one of my Soldiers, Kristofer Metzger, from 9 years ago was murdered working as a Uber driver trying to support his 9 year old daughter and wife in Pittsburgh. This was such a senseless loss. It is good to remember the fallen so they live on through us honor their memory. My heart goes out to all of you who have lost fellow soldiers.

The same thing I thought, I investigated and becoming a seal is not as difficult as they make it seem, you enter the navy, a year later you complete the UDT course and you are already a seal, a year or two later they recruit you for the devgru and You're already a member of team six of the seals, lol, too young and inexperienced young people dying.

@the face of drake Most of them are Navy Special warfare operators (seals) most navy seals and devgru operators ranks are petty officer and master chief, they have been recruited from seals units tier 2, when they enter the devgru unit receive tier 1 training and other equipment they can choose a combat specialty like air controller, technician EOD, CWO and more... most of them are not even 6 years old in the navy, as i say they enter the navy they receive basic training they complete 1 year in a normal unit, the following year they request selection for the UDT course and graduate as seals, one or two operational year in a seal tier 2 unit and the following year you are recruited by the devgru, The selection used to be different, that's why most of the operators were older with more experience and time in service in other units, now you see devgru operators with 25 23 years like I said, dying young and inexperienced.

@@sebastianaguilar734 no actually they are not. before the global war on terror I would agree with you that the SAS and SBS were top dogs however being that the United States has been very active for the past two decades Devgru and Cag are more capable and more experienced. What you also don't realize is the United States spends far more money on training and equipment for its tier 1 elements compared to the SAS and SBS so it's not really a competition anymore hate to break it to you like this but facts are facts

Man i didn't want to say this but this was a tear jerker big time. Watching this really shows how many great men died in this war. Not just elite soldiers but high caliber men in general. This really gives a perspective to the saying " All gave some some gave all". We can never repay for the sacrifices made but we can live our lives in their memory and the lives they gave all of us. God bless America and our warriors who fight for it.

I've been out since 2005. A noise, a smell, a glint of light or a movement of a shadow. It reminds you of who you are and the comrades you salute nearly every time you raise a glass. Yes you remember the dates and the places, you can plan for that, but its the unexpected moment that gets you. 2 weeks again something happened and certain things came back into focus once more. Luckily for me, my boss seen this and he took the rest of the crew to do another job and gave me 20 mins alone, once more with my mates of old. Gone, but never forgotten.

Task Force Green the best of the best. I have so much respect for operators who were born on a good and somewhat safe time (economic wise) they could’ve settled with a job that payed way better than the military but they chose to serve and sacrifice their lives for what they thought was right. Warfighters are a different kind of breed ❤️

It is painful as a Brit to see fallen brothers from the US. Anyone who has served, and ESPECIALLY serving currently will know how interoperable the UK and US forces currently are. We are almost one. Stay frosty, America! God save the Queen, and God bless America.

This is pretty cool to see the faces behind some of the best. A lot of them have robot eyes. Also never thought i'd see a black operator. RIP dudes

You Sir speak of these HERO'S. It needs to be remembered what a HERO is. Those that made the Ultimate Sacrifice. That word is used way too loosely these days for many that are not.

4:28 Dude had a British and American flag. Best of brothers. Imagine if this video showed deaths from the US Army SF, Rangers, MARSOC, and the SAS/SBS. It would unfortunately be a lot longer than this.

Happy Memorial Day. Never forget our fallen heroes who gave everything and paid the ultimate price so that we could be free. Remember those that died so that we could live within the comforts of our home with our families. Support the veterans that came home with broken bodies and tormented minds; we must stand together to fight for our veterans at home, they did everything they could for us.

I will not even try to pretend to think what others think, or even feel @ the moment, and rather honestly, I could care less, however, as a Special Operations Capable Marine, and soon after, a Tier Two Special Operations Forces Soldier, I can sleep safely, soundly and securely @ 🌃, knowing in My Mind, and feeling in My ❤️, that, All Military Forces Personnel, especially Special Missions Unit Tier One Operators of The United States Joint Special Operations Command ( US JSOC) gave up Their Own Tomorrows , in order that I can have My Own Todays, as a Widower, Grandfather, Commercial Landscaper, a Catholic Christian, and a Prior Service USMC and US Army Veteran, living in The United States of America, The Best Country on Planet Earth, Thankful to GOD ( Father, Son, Holy Spirit), for These Men of War, who committed Direct Action and Ultraviolence, on behalf of Me and My Fellow Americans. Thank You, JSOC , for Your Military Service, and, GOD Bless You, and also, GOD Bless The United States of America. Respect and Love, from Tucson, Arizona USA. JOHN RODRIGUEZ, OUT!!🇺🇸🗽🪂💣💥❤️

When all your brothers are on that Heli... and your brother says everyone was on it. You’ve just lost the dearest people in your life. Love everyone around you because it can happen to them too. You may never get to have that conversation ever again
