I know that had to be tough for John! Losing 3 ppl his wife, Kirstie alley and Olivia! He did such an amazing job. May they all rest in paradise and thank them all for playing a role in all of our lives.

James Gandolfini who passed away back in 2013, was also a very good friend of John's. He even said James would call to check on him and his family after he lost his son, and when James passed away, he did the same for him as well.

I’m glad to see John Travolta back on stage, especially the Academy Awards. The man has been through a lot and it’s very devastating to see how emotional he was. He lost his son, his wife, his co-stars, and the people he cared about. My condolences to you John, you’ve always been a phenomenal actor and a strong man. You got this!!

Ageing is bad enough but we lose many people we know and love also. Why don’t we value our youths more?

You can't hide mourning. Mr. Travolta didn't even try, as well he shouldn't. He lost too many people in his life. I so appreciate his tears as we all shed them for those we lost.

I have always admired how sweet and respectful John is. It's heartbreaking to see the losses he's endured. Keep staying strong ❤

The audible gasp of the audience was heartwrentching when he said that line. John has incredible courage to display those emotions and say those words. Probably the hardest thing he ever had to do aside from losing his son and his wife. My heart goes out to him.

It's nice to see how much love he had for Olivia.

As a child, saw Grease at the Theatre in 1978, will never forget how wonderful that was…🙏

One of the great traits about John is that he is a sensitive, loving person. And he sure has had some losses in his life. I love that he can show his emotions. That is a real man.

John is going through the same thing my dad's been going through. He's lost both his parents, two of his sisters, a brother, his wife/my mother, two cousins and his favorite dog all in the last five years. They say the strongest always end up being the last to give up ... That must be a bittersweet feeling.

You can 💯% hear awww 😢 from the audience after when he said “We will remain hopelessly devoted to.” He was referring to his late soulmate/ friend Olivia Newton-John whom he started with in a musical Grease (1978). Not to mention he also lost his other friend Kirstie Alley in Look Who’s Talking. He lost his wife Kelly Preston in 2020 (all from cancer.) He even lost his son Jett back in 2009 from a seizure while they were on vacation. I also heard he lost his parents too. It’s been tough for John 😢. He even lost his friend Robin Williams from suicide and Bernie Mac from pneumonia, whom he co-started in Old Dogs (2009) All he has left are his daughter and other son

Yes he has been through major losses. But he has many siblings & I know his older brother Joe who is such a beautiful loving man. He too is in the industry & does many great things for special needs kids & young adults. I can tell & hear from what Joe has told me about their family that they come from such good stalk. I cant imagine losing my spouse & child. Poor john😢🙏

So very sad that ONJ is gone. Always liked her music and by all accounts she was genuinely a nice person in private life.

Good on him for turning stuff around now, though. Bobby comes across as a sensitive, honest and sincere man in the book and one should read this book before pointing fingers at him. John too also comes across as a sensitive, honest and sincere man.

This was in 1978 . My father died around the time this movie came out. I was 16. My mother needed company and comfort and she and I often went to my aunt Tonny and talk and watch television and just passing time. To cheer me up we all watched everything concerning the new Travolta movie called Grease in my aunts tiny living room, filled with love and coffee and coockies. So this one is bittersweet for me.

Its an absolute crime they didn't put tony sirico or Paul Sorvino there.

I been fan of john Travolta i especially love grease i wish john and olivia was in grease 2. Thank you for countless memories from my childhood to adult hood. You sir are diamond. Especially kristie alley in lookbwho talking and olivia newton john. We will never see actress like you all.
