This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do. Today, I will be taught the Word of God. I boldly confess: My mind is alert, My heart is receptive. I will never be the same. I am about to receive The incorruptible, indestructible, Ever-living seed of the Word of God. I will never be the same . Never, never, never. I will never be the same. In Jesus name. Amen.

I remember around 2000 the preaching started to be watered down that's what I remember and even the presences of GOD began to decrease in the church. These days it's so hard to find a good church. We are definitely living in the last days !!!

Joel doesn't preach the truth. He isn't a cold hard in your face, scripture preacher! I heard Joel Osteen preaching they are a complete joke. It doesn't teach anyone about sin, living a prosper life. He talked about that you must obey the commands than God will bless you. He will heal you, give you abundance. We sin every single day as Christians. Its building a relationship with Jesus, repenting of your sins, reading his word!! Those people don't even read the scripture. Joel preaches what people want to hear. Not the truth... i am saved through christ. Christ died for me and my sins, he knows the desires of my heart which means he knows I want to live a life through him! I dont desire worldly things... Joel is a worldly preacher

I like Joel’s father he was fantastic in our time era, I am eighty five.i gave my life to Christ when I was 32 years. I’ve heard them all . I was in a breakdown ,,,cleaned house every day and really cleaned hard on Friday. I was in a breakdown mode, Then I would clean and listen to the radio. I was really sick. Emotionally I needed help. The doctor had me on meds., I was like a zombie soldier just cleaning like I was . Not getting any better, then one day I was listening to a Christian station. And He said if you’re having problems with your days and nights you might need Jesus get down right now and pray with me. I prayed the prayer with him....dear Lord Jesus come into my life, I ask for forgiveness for my sins and ask for a new life in Jesus Christ

Well, you have an audience and elders who sits to their detriment and willing take it in, But who am i to speak, you can find the same in most churches around town. The difference is that they are not on TV. for many to see. It's increasingly difficult nowadays to walk into a christ- centered, gospel oriented Church any more.

You assume incorrectly that Joel as not lead hundreds if not thousands to know Christ, I know a cpl of them personally. Our goal should be to lead people to Christ, it is not not to demonize those who are just because someone told you he is wrong. You will know them by their fruit. You, Joel and I will stand accountable to God on judgment day.

Joel preaches about victory in Christ Jesus through faith in Him and God's Word for this our Christian life here on earth. He points us towards God's Word on how to face, overcome and live through daily challenges holding on to God's promises through faith. Our earthly days are as secure in Him as is our salvation!! Why do people think we believers need to live miserable defeated lives here on earth while we are on our way to heaven???!!! Wish you would pray for yourself and others like you who should use words more profitably in order to bless others rather than condemn, as condemnation does not come from the Lord!

@@szb6003 Luke 14:33 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple." 1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons," 2 Timothy 4:3 "For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires." Matthew 19:24 "And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” May I ask you a question?: If "living our best life now" was true, would that make heaven our worse or "second-best" life? If we aren't suppose to suffer, then what was the point of showing the suffering of the Apostles and the horrifying torture/death they endured? What was the point in Jeremiah and him living his whole life in pain and God allowing him to suffer all the way until his death. Almost no joy, comfort, wife, friends, ect. (He was just one of many) Perhaps most of all is that we are suppose to follow God The Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus literally came to suffer on our behalf by offering his blood as an atonement for our sins and creating a New Testament (church age). Basically, we are suppose to suffer (true born again believers through the Holy Spirit) because we are not of the world and our earthly desires and resources should be focused on spreading the word and will of God, regardless of the cost to us or who we offend. I could go on about long suffering and a whole slew of topics biblically, but it seems I've already typed a few paragraphs. One last thing (if you don't answer anything else, at least this): In your words, how/why are you going to heaven and what do you personally believe is salvation? How do you personally think it biblically works?

Glad I found these videos. I used to watch Brother Osteen back in the 90's. He inspired me so deeply, along with other great men of faith. What takes place at Lakewood now is neither here nor there, as far as Brother John is concerned. His legacy is solid. Lakewood is a name on the front of a building, Brother John preached the kingdom of God, and that's the only "kingdom" that matters.

Oh, how I do miss hearing Pastor John's sermons. I believe he was truly one of God's servants. I also listen to Pastor Joel from time to time. His style is different from that of his late father and what I grew up listening to in southeast Texas. However, I know that God can use anyone to reach His people. Thanks to modern technology, we can listen to both Pastor John and Pastor Joel Osteen. Pastor John's sermons are as relevant today as they were some 40+ years ago.

The reason pastor a John preaches different is because he spoke of the word of God ( based on what I am hearing on this video) He mentioned about being born again is through a Jesus ) Pastor Joel was once asked ,do you believe Jesus is the only way?He says well that is not for me to decide, but God. No God already made a decision we are saved through Jesus Christ he died for our sin, and he is the way, the truth and the life. John 3:14

It happened with me. I lay paralyzed in 2002 just three months to retire. All my plans for post retirement lay endangered. . Up to this year,I never believed in any God . Through Vincent Peal books I remembered few saying of Bible since nineteen fifties.. Such as " God is my shield.my glory and lifter of my head." " I can do all things through God that strengthened." " When God is for me, who can be against me " Till 2002 had prayed these and I overcome life's storms. But never prayed to Jesus. It was in paralyzed state in Hospital, I prayed for Jesus and prayed hard. I had feeling being nudged to have faith. When I was discharged when chair was brought but refused to take and wobblingly walked to car parking. Distance few minutes I covered in half hour. Dr. told me later after three moths it was fattest recovery known. Since then I have been praying Jesus. I have faced troubles and illnesses but all passed without much impact. I am not Christian but I have firm faith in living God.

Pastor John had powerful preachings because he had powerful life experiences as his parents didn’t follow Jesus at first. Pastor Joel comes from a different scenario, he had loving parents who follow Jesus. That’s why his messages are not as his father. But still his messages are powerful to change your mindset as if you were raised in a loving relationship with God. People shouldn’t compare as they are different, and we are so lucky (blessed) to been able to watch preachings of both pastors 💖 Thank you God for that 💖💕🙏
