Darryl you’re so right! Joel’s gifts as a preacher have brought me back many times from negativity, cynicism and hopelessness. And that’s what a good preacher does. Furthermore he’s an example of what we can achieve when we DON’T LISTEN to the negative people who may surround us...I only discovered him recently and I thank God for the positive influence he’s had on me, my marriage and my parenting. ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Amen, I was just thinking the same thing. People often judge by looks or sound or something else. But, People fail to factor God in anything. Jessie, David's dad did that too. He had every one of his sons come to Samuel but he did not think David was the one. God loves the runt of the litter 😂😂😂 praise God!

So, how about you first get the thing that is in your eye out first then you will be able to see clearly how to and what to judge. Let me ask you this, what does the Word of God say about how to speak on another minister's work? So, if you will start right there first and then proceed properly, that'll work out better!

What joy it is to serve God and have your children serve along with you and to leave a legacy of good Christian living for the next generation. May God continued blessings be on the Osteen family!

wow sitting here in 2019 never met them but shedding tears, such a beautiful memorial service and Mama Osteen so strong Man wow

Just found this. I am so amazed that the Lord let me find this. My Daddy lived across the highway from the church, the old church. My Dad had lost 50% of his breathing capacity. He watched John Osteen every Sunday. My visits to him we would watch John Osteen together. I loved his preaching. Once at my place in Abilene, Tx a friend told me my son, 17 yrs was in the worst spiritual battle she had even seen. I immediately started searching the bible for the full Armor of God. I searched and searched but could not find it, I knew the devil was hindering me. I then got on the internet and searched for John Osteen. Found his sermons as Brother Osteen had already gone to heaven. I found his sermon on Putting on the Full Armor of God. I suited up and went to my son, he was a believer but the paegan groups were trying to desroy him as he would bring people to me to teach them about Jesus. That day I walked in and all the evil people fled. I told my son, you come home and he did come home. He is 42 years old now and still bringing people to me for teaching of God and Jesus. Didn't mean to make this so long but, since Jesus led me to this page, I feel compelled to tell you how much John was loved by us. My Daddy is in heaven with John. But, Dodie, I have loved you forever. Would love to meet you one day and pray together. I cried the day Joel preached the first time. I just recently heard Jonathon preach. What a legacy of John Osteen. God bless you all.

I'm watching this 17 years later and you can't tell me that God doesn't know what he's doing...he was named Joel for a reason. This is destiny manifested 2017.

What a special family to let us ( the public ) in on such a private personal time such as a loss of their dad - husband- sibling. They are public figures but this is still their family. As far as the legacy, 18 years later and I cant tell you how much I appreciate that I can pull up an uplifting sermon on youtube to play in my car on my way to and from work. This family has put so much goodness into this world with a constant reminder that God is always in our corner. Thank you to the Osteens.

Just watching this in 2018... only found Joel recently and I thank God daily for this gifted preacher. His inspiring messages of hope, and faith are more real because of the personal stories and challenges that he shares of the difficulties he has overcome. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️

This is my church. I've been there for abyear now and Praise God for the ministry. I love this church. I'm teary eyed because this is so touching. Till this day Joel almost always gets teary eyed or crys and talks about his Dad highly. You can tell he still misses him dearly. God bless this family. John would be proud

First time I heard her spoke She has such a sweet personality Her voice is golden She is a Wonder Woman

I want to say that this was amazing to watch. This has been the root of what I've been watching all these years through Joel Osteen. He didn't hesitate to take that microphone. I started watching Joel O. since about 2001-2002. I've been watching him pretty steadily since then till now. I've come a long way since then too. Mentally and Spiritually. I'm actually going through a tough time now with some things that are happening in my life. I'm trying to learn more about faith. Even tonight, 2 days before Thanksgiving, I'm having a tough time with some issues. I was trying to get sermons from Joel from 2004. (That was a good time for me). And this came up with John Osteen and his last sermon and Memorial Service. Very interesting and moving. I was actually praying for the right sermon to watch, and all this came up. By the way, all this was happening when I was moving into a new apartment. Very touching for me. God Bless. Leslie N.

It is 2022 and this came down my feed. I was a member of a different predominantly Black church on the day Pastor John died. My pastor took time to acknowledge what an influence Pastor John, whom I did not know, had been. This has been a blessing to watch, as in recent years Lakewood has been a consistent present in my life.

I am in tears as if it were happening at this very moment. My own father listened to few ministers on TV, but he tuned in and constantly repeated the fire in Pastor John Osteen. Thank you Lord for raising him up for the world.

I love Dodie Osteen. I remembered God told me to go with TBN to israel early on the year 2018 and I thought He wants me to listen to Joseph Prince but actually He wants me to listen to Joel Osteen. On the Southern steps Joel talks about not despising small beginnings, at that time we were about to launch our ministry. God is such a good God and He would direct us! If we would just let Him.

I absolutely love this family. I never knew John Osteen, but I love him too. Joel is my pastor. I had to give my respect to whom he loved. His mother is wonderful. Joel was soo shy and quiet.

I've always been amazed at how Joel Osteen can preach without making an error, no errs no ams. But he comes from a family of great orators.

I am so shocked at some of these comments. people will know they are my disciples why? what was it Jesus said? when we are mean, nasty & ugly to others? oh no I think it was our love towards each other " isn't that right? gee that's what my Bible says! some of y'all must have a different one!!!!!!
