This is so sad...Your (anointed) music helped save my life - I played it over and over during a time when my health crashed bad. I have (almost) all of your cassettes and Cd's, BUT most of all, I came to know the Lord better and drew closer to Him through your music...10 yrs later and the Hermitage is unstoppable...May God continue to bless this ministry> in Christ's love, a non-denominational Christian..

I'm so sorry to hear of the destruction. Praise God no one was killed. We'll pray for each one in your community, and for how God wants you to proceed from here with rebuilding, etc. Our town had a lot of fires this summer (Paradise, CA), with at least 500 structures burned. We have many friends who lost everything. It reminds me we are not of this world. This is temporary. The enemy wants to destroy us and tear down our faith and hope. God is much bigger..and fully in control. Be encouraged.

I cannot believe the comments on this page from people who obviously think they are knocking on the heavenly gates. A community is devastated by an incident which could have cost them their lives and people comment on how spiritual they are or are not??? How about thank God you are all alive???

I don't think God did this to your hermitage church and grounds, but allowed it to happen for a greater good perhaps beyond our comprehension, but nevertheless to glorify our Heavenly Father in the end. I lift you and your community up in prayer and will continue to intercede in prayer for the rebuilding process. God bless and God speed. In Christ's Love...

Just because earlier church teacher started something does not mean it is right...just because it is old doesn't make it more respectful or immune to scrutiny. Deception was always around...even from the beginning.

Now what we are talking about are acts of individual bishops and how they respond. This has nothing to do with official Church teaching. Just because a Bishop does or says something doesn't make it official Church teaching. I agree abuses happen, but just because abuses happen in the Ordinary form does not mean that the ordinary form, or V2, was wrong. My home parish does the ordinary form beautifully with no liturgical abuses.

I was ready to donate, Catholic or not! I left the Catholic church yrs. ago for other reasons. Can't believe the hate in the comments, what church they from??? My teachings say God loves everyone, & furthermore Jesus said love your enemies (you consider them an enemy?). I was introduced to one of John's cassette tapes yrs. ago called The Painter. one song in particular I listened to over & over for days------ create in me a clean heart o God was my daily prayer. Thank you Micheal for that blessed song. This man's songs are anointed, he is 1 Catholic that is truly saved. I imagine there more in his community the same. I would've donated but probably everything up & running by now. in the end Jesus will have His community gathered together from all religions & nation's. everyone in any of them ---- is not saved!! No one, not one is right!!! God taught me that from the beginning of me getting serious looking for ----THE RIGHT CHURCH. We're supposed to be working together. it is a personal belief of mine that being baptised spiritually is to be totally immersed in Him! in His word! in REpenting! & in practicing what He taught until it becomes 2nd nature to us, our NEW automatic behaviors, new nature. looks like we still need more practice! What does God want from us? What do you give someone who has everything? What do most of our parents say? Nothing! Give me a call. Come & visit. = time & attention!!!! = Go out of your way, take a little time out of your busy day, may find something to do while your there!!!!! Have you seen God as a (your) father, yet? He wants to get to really know Him. Be blessed , you all. I see going to church as a day God chose to get His family back under 1 roof staying connected, like going to Mom's every sun. we honor them & God with our presence! listen to Dad's same old stories. you know, after dinner when all the kids gather around the grown up table.

There really wasn't a problem with Vatican II. There was a problem however with how a variety of Priests and Bishops implemented Vatican II.

So very sorry and also sorry for the hurtful comments made on here. Some people just do not get it .God help them, I pray that their rude comments will not catch up with them ! Peace my brother !

There also was a problem with how nothing was done about it and how radicals have been able to maintain their jurisdiction while the SSPX were excommunicated for acts of disobedience, though rightly so. If they love Vatican 2 and the N.O. so much, they would've taken care of business--especially the Mass. They need to be shepherds. Leader-shepherds run out the wolves and lazy or insurrectional lower-level sheep.

I don't wish harm on anyone and I praise God that no life was lost. It may be that God allowed this to happen or caused this because of JMT leading people down the road of the demonic doctrines of Roman Catholicism. God does not take kindly to people leading his creation astray. God will judge those who lead others into false ways because God hates every false way. The Spirit of truth is not in this "ministry" and until repentance takes place that fire serves as a foreshadowing of their future

This is not about protestantism. Read in context... let scripture interpret itself...my words are spirit refers to him saying this is my body. It was spiritual. Not picking and choosing just reading with the understanding of the Spirit. Jesus also said in Matthew 12:49,50 "And he stretched out His hand toward his disciples and said,"Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother" So was Mary his mother or the disciples?

I know the excuse that the catholic church uses to say that you can ask dead saints to pray for you. I think as for the tradition...THE R.C. makes it up as they go along... No attacking people...just false doctrine. Doctrine is a result of scripture False teaching is a result of scriptureless tradition. So as for any theologian...yes they would recognize this as and an old one but not all would agree either. If the Bible is not your standard...what is?

Trimelda, JMTs devotion to the Lord is mixed with false teaching. I am concerned that people are being led into them. My original post asked the question or brought out the possibility that this fire was judgment from a God who does not like false doctrine. R.C. has everything to do with this video. I understand you have deep affection for him and think I am dirt...but this is not a contest to see who Trimelda thinks is a more wonderful person. I have an obligation NOT be quiet and pray.

You still have not addressed the scriptural relevance of praying to saints and regarding a man(besides Christ) as infallible. Where is that in scripture? Where does it put Mary, who after Jesus had other children therefore not a virgin any longer, on the same place of Christ as mediator?

I love JMTs music and am sorrowed by his doctrines. I will be praying for the repentance of this community. If anyone reading this wants to pray...that is the way to do so. Humanitarian or not...false teaching is the leaven of the pharisees that Jesus warned about. JMT, today is the day to repent...don't try and resurrect your idols.

What did his Calvinistic codswallow have ANYTHING to do with JMT and the unfortunate fire at the Little Portion Hermitage? Nothing. This video was neither the appropriate forum for theological disputes and I will continue to cry foul and stand up where I see fit.

Were the disciples related to Jesus?...NO! Jesus was speaking spiritually and did not mean that they were physically those things but spiritually they were family. The same goes for the bread and wine...we do not eat or drink Him but in a spiritual sense we do. He is the passover lamb and our sufficiency. You must come out from the wayward doctrines of Catholicism and trust fully in Christ and the truth of scripture accurately divided by the Holy Spirit sent BY Jesus. It's not too late for you.

It's horrible u lost cherished family memories caught N pictures&what not&the archives (both, esp.). I don't know what yer community's charism is, but maybe it's a message 2 go about begging &preaching like St. Francis's order&leave the settlement part 2 a secular order (like at Madonna House is run). If yer resolved 2 B settled, I've books U could have like "What Went Wrong With Vatican 2". It's levity. Actually, I've 4 U many books/media 4 all Catholics,such as classics&"The Rosary Album".

The elements are symbolic of Christs death for our sins ONCE...not over and over again. Also the True church is one that lives as new creations of God through Jesus Christs death and resurrection that took Gods wrath for us. Jesus said "If you love me, obey my commandments" He said call no one father...do you obey Jesus?
