Well put!

I know John is trying to sell some guitars but I really miss when the black strat was his go-to. That is an inimitable fender tone. The silver skies are an ergonomic dream but just don't jingle and growl as good as an old strat.

I've seen John shred on many occasions. I do prefer his bluesy playing the best. I can listen to that for hours.

Oh I think that's entirely dependant on which style he chooses to play but he's certainly capable of about anything you'd ever want out of a guitar. Like Clapton's high praise of John - "He's extremely gifted..his facility is phenomenal".

see now that’s a crowd of people who know what mayer’s excellent at. completely silent for that masterful solo. and they cheer when he comes back into the chorus, not for the vocals, for that beautiful improvisation.

A one life time experience.. Such a personal and intimate performance Probably those people will never forget that day

I always am amazed at John Mayer's talent, especially knowing he wrote this song which has become a very well recognized anthem of sorts...Go Huskies!

He never impressed me, really no guitar player ever impressed me cause you can look up "great guitar solos by 6 year olds" and a bunch come up so the instrument is not that hard. Try looking up great trombone solos or French horn solos by 5 year old and not much come up.
