Lyrics:
We have the chance to turn the pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older
We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?
You're the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-wo-wo-wo, oh-wo-wo-wo
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear
Oh-wo-wo-wo, oh-wo-wo-wo

Well, guess it's genetics (mum was 95 when she passed. And she smoked until into her 70s, and was still enjoying wine to the end). Don't think "old", don't carry with you negativity from your earlier life experiences, learn to not let the past dictate your emotions now, that's destructive and you're worth far more than that, so believe in yourself. Never allow negative people/feelings into your life, and if they do creep in then watch It's a Long Way to the Top... Store in your mind not only the sheer energy from that song but also the love between John and his fans, and remember it. No one has a perfect life but we can choose to make rhe best of it.

And - I cry when I see and hear perfection - ice skater years ago, Donald Jackson? Canadian? , a friend who is a concert pianist - more than perfection, he plays with heart and soul and you can hear that emotion in his playing . And John Farnham? . The total package. 'nuff said?

This is one of the most beautiful song and challenging lyrics of the 80's. It should be aired on all radios and become every country's national anthem! A shame our world hasn't learnt the lesson much ever since! The Christian band For King and Country has just released a great cover of this song on their album Unsung Hero. You should all listen to it. A great rendition. Can't stop listening to it.

It's a nice sentiment but sadly JF didn't write this song. Watch Finding the Voice to see who wrote the music and lyrics. Several people were involved and in actual fact JF and his team didn't have permission to record it but they did anyway. It's a great story.

@@lindsaykelly2224 The UK sure does recognise there own musician. It's the home of a list of top A list stars. Often actual pillar stones With in the industrie. Think of The Beatles. Black Sabbath Queen Elton John Radiohead Phil Collins Eric Clapton Sex Pistols Motörhead Mark Knopfler and that's just a few. If anything the UK has so much great musicians and groups that they outshine almost everything.

We as Europeans will stand with Ukraine. Ukraine is a European country, Russia and Vladimir Putin are war criminals with an egg on their face. You thought the Ukrainians wouldn’t defend their country against rapists and murderers? Well, think again, Putin! International Judo Federation should strip Vladimir Putin of his black belt for killing old ladies and raping children.
