Apparently, it was Connally as Navy Secretary who approved Oswald's dishonorable discharge from the Marine Corp after his defection to the Soviet Union. An alternative JFK assassination argument is that Oswald really meant to shoot Connally in retaliation for this action.

And Oswald sent a request to have the dishonorable discharge upgraded to general discharge and he was turned down by Connally. my dad’s classmate from the Naval Academy was Connally’s aide at the time and passed it on to Connally. He always thought that Connally was the target not Kennedy.

Marina Oswald Russian Wife of Lee HArvey was adamant to Warrren Comm8sion that Connelly was target, he was Secretary of Navy when Lee Harvey was granted an Honorable Discharge when he was allowed to reurn to USA to help his mother who was ill but whennit was dicovered he had emm8grated to Russia it was changed to DISHONOURABLE DISCHARGE , when Lee Harvey returned to USA he repeatedly attempted to have it changed but was refused, every communication he receivedwas signed by Connelly then Secretary of Navy responsible for Marines . Marina claimed Lee Harvey admired JFK, bothhad a young pretty wife, two young children.

Oswald didn't shoot anyone. He thought he had a bigger part in the assassination but in truth I think he was just used to be seen in the break room and found in the theater

@@user-gz3cc8vh7g Oswald owned the rifle. Oswald smuggled the rifle. Oswald's latent print was on the rifle. Oswald had every bullet and fragment ever found matched to his rifle. Oswald lied to police about his whereabouts during the shooting. Oswald had exactly the right amount of time to get down the stairs and duck into the theater. No unidentified persons were ever seen by anybody inside the building. Oswald was the only employee inside the building during the shooting to immediately flee the crime scene & never return. Oswald took evasive action to sneak back to his rooming house. Oswald was ID'd by nearly a dozen witnesses as shooting a cop and fleeing. Oswald discarded his jacket, complete with fibres consistent with his shirt, between the crime scene and the theater. Oswald owned and was in possession of the gun the shells were matched to. The shoe store clerk plainly saw Oswald trying to hide from passing police in his store front. The clerk watched Oswald duck into a theater to dodge more passing police. The clerk pointed Oswald out to police in the theater. Oswald fought police so violently 3 officers were injured just disarming him. Oswald was caught fighting police so violently 3 officers were injured just disarming him. Oswald observed, "Well, they say it only takes a minute to die" after asking about the penalty for cop-killing. Oswald refused to cooperate with any investigator. Oswald acted so smug he even convinced his own brother he was guilty. Oswald slept like a baby in his cell. Oswald turned down help from the President of the Dallas Bar Associaiton. Oswald was only interested in a lawyer he'd never met living in another state who specialized in left-wing causes. Oswald only said he was a patsy in relation to being hassled by cops for having lived in Russia. Oswald never attempted to blow any conspiracy framing him to any cop, any member of his family, to the President of the DBA, or to a live TV audience of millions. Oswald just shrugged a hollow, rambling, evasive, unsurprised reply when asked on live TV, "Did you shoot the President?"

@aaronz7056 plenty of witnesses say the rifle found in the tsbd was not Oswald rifle. Everyone but you I guess knows he was a patsy. He thought he was going to have a larger part in the assassination but his only part was to be seen in the breakroom and found in the theater.

Unless a person is over 65-70, John Connally is a nearly forgotten figure in history, (other than being in the same car, when John Kennedy was assassinated)! It seemed ironic that a person who Pres.Nixon chose to be America's "Secretary of the Treasury," would eventually declare bankruptcy! Connally seemed to be an eclectic man, who may have taken too many financial risks, in his unusual business ventures! R.I.P.!

National and international competitors for oil had reasons for removing his families influence in oil regulation and deregulation since the 1930s connally oil laws . Nixon was of the mind to lift the oil import quota cap . Connally joined that position . This was not that popular with domestic producers competing with cheaper foreign oil. But it wasnt always his position per the 1930s oil conservation laws .

All bullets and fragments ever found were matched to Oswald's rifle. Victims' reactions in Zapruder's film clearly demonstrate they are hit by the same bullet, and ergo, from behind. Kennedy is clearly seen to suffer a massive exit wound exploding at the temple consistent only with a shot from behind. Connally's said the shots came from behind. Autopsy shows the shots came from behind. Parkland doctors had no particular problem with the autopsy photos. Witnesses directly under the sixth floor window firmly said the shots all came from directly overhead. Those witnesses had a clear view behind the knoll fence and would plainly have seen any gunman there. Storm drain would be a lousy vantage point. Anybody firing a rifle from the drain would be absurdly obvious to everybody nearby. Phone records demonstrate James Sutton aka James Files was in Chicago during the assassination and when confronted with this he tried to claim he was being confused with his own non-existent twin brother. NBC cancelled their planned TV show on this lying clown after taking a closer look at him.

Actually, they were different bullets. The same bulletin did not hit Kennedy and Connolly.

Victims' reactions in Zapruder's film clearly demonstrate they are hit by the same bullet. Within 1-2 frames of Kennedy being hit, Connally's lapel pops out, his hat flips up, his shoulder is driven down and his expression violently contorts as his lung is collapsed, all demonstrating they are hit by the same bullet. Connally was demonstrably seated lower, inboard and turned sharply to his right. Victims' wounds demonstrably line up on a trajectory and track straight back to the sixth floor window. View of the entry wound on Connally's back would demonstrably have been blocked by Kennedy's body, ergo the same bullet has to have gone through both of them. Bullet recovered from the stretcher is badly crushed at the nose and flattened down one side. That condition is consistent with going through Kennedy without hitting bone, slowing and tumbling on leaving him, then broadsiding its way through Connally's ribs, as medical and forensic evidence clearly demonstrate. Witnesses directly under the sixth floor window firmly said the shots all came from directly overhead.
